Massive stage changes regarding interacting bosons in hyperbolic lattices.
The agreement between each simulation condition and the reference was assessed graphically and numerically using the median difference (∆) AUC24 and (relative) root mean square error (rRMSE) as measures of bias and accuracy, respectively.

A total of 55 patients contributed 512 concentrations from 95 tobramycin courses and 256 TDM episodes. Single concentration methods performed well, with median ∆AUC24 <2 mg·h·L-1 and rRMSE of <15% for sequential c1 and c2 conditions.

Bayesian forecasting implemented in Tucuxi, using single postinfusion concentrations taken 2-6 hours after tobramycin administration, yield similar exposure estimates to more intensive (two-sample) methods and are suitable for routine TDM practice.

Understanding families' experiences from their initial developmental concerns through the first several months after autism spectrum disorder (ASD) diagnosis might help explain persistent disparities in age of diagnosis for low-income Latino children and those whose parents speak a primary language other than English. We explored these experiences among Latino parents of children recently diagnosed with ASD to develop a richer understanding of this critical juncture.

We conducted semistructured interviews with Latino parents of children diagnosed with ASD in the previous 3 months who were receiving follow-up care through a large, hospital-based outpatient practice. Interviews were recorded, transcribed verbatim, translated, and analyzed using an iterative process.

Twenty parents participated in a semistructured interview approximately 3 months after their child was diagnosed with ASD. All respondents were female and Latina, 90% spoke Spanish, and 95% of children received Medicaid. We identified the following 3 themes from their experiences (1) When parents first shared their concerns about their child's development with professionals, they felt unheard. (2) Parents were surprised that the diagnostic process for ASD relied on parental description of child development and behavior and observation of the child, not on medical tests. (3) Receiving an ASD diagnosis was a life-altering event for parents, and how that diagnosis was communicated by clinicians had a significant impact on families.

Parents of young Latino children identified several barriers throughout the process of ASD identification and diagnosis that have important implications for improving clinician communication with families.

The objective of this article was to assess the impact on behavioral and socioemotional development, 2 to 6 years postintervention (depending on the curriculum), of Legacy for Children, a public health approach to improve child developmental outcomes among families living in poverty.

Mothers who were recruited prenatally or at the time of childbirth participated in a set of Legacy parallel design randomized control trials between 2001 and 2009 in Miami, Florida, or Los Angeles, California. Of the initial 574 mother-child dyads, 364 completed at least 1 behavioral or socioemotional outcome measure at the third-grade follow-up. Intention-to-treat analyses compared Legacy and comparison groups on behavioral and socioemotional outcomes.

Children of Legacy mothers in Los Angeles were at lower risk for externalizing behaviors and poor adaptive skills than children whose mothers did not participate in the intervention. No significant outcome differences by group assignment were found in Miami.

Group-based positive parenting interventions such as Legacy may have a sustained impact on children's behavioral and socioemotional development several years after intervention completion.

When performing filler injection procedures to the nasojugal groove, there is the risk of iatrogenic damage to the detoured facial artery.

To determine the 3-dimensional location of the detoured facial artery.

The branches of the facial arteries from 118 cadaveric hemifaces were scanned using computed tomography and reconstructed using the Mimics software program.

Detoured facial arteries were found in 47 of the 118 hemifaces (39.8%). Two main arterial patterns were identified in Type I (29 of 47 cases), there were both detoured and nasolabial trunks where the facial artery originated, whereas in Type II (18 of 47 cases), there was only a detoured trunk. The detoured trunk originated 32.0 ± 5.3 mm from the midsagittal line, 5.0 ± 2.8 mm from the occlusion plane, and 5.9 ± 3.5 mm below the skin layer; the inflection of the detoured trunk was located 30.0 ± 5.6 mm laterally, 26.2 ± 4.4 mm superiorly, and 5.7 ± 2.6 mm deep. The meeting point with the inferior orbital rim plane was located 17.1 ± 3.4 mm laterally, 43.4 ± 3.1 mm superiorly, and 2.8 ± 1.7 mm deep.

The 3-dimensional location of the detoured facial artery as reported here will help clinicians to avoid iatrogenic damage when they are performing filler injection procedures.

Downturned oral commissures develop gradually with aging. Tools have been developed to evaluate the marionette line or the lower face. Debio 0123 However, there is no validated and reproducible tool to evaluate the progress after oral commissure treatment in clinical practice.

The authors aimed to develop a scoring system to evaluate therapeutic interventions for downturned oral commissures and to verify its reliability, reproducibility, and clinical significance.

In the Scale Development Group, the Delphi method was used to establish a 5-graded scoring system to evaluate oral commissure position. The scoring system was applied to 50 participants. The authors recorded and compared the intrarater agreement, interrater agreement, and significance of the grade-dependent scale.

Delphi analysis of the scoring system verified the grade description adequacy. Intrarater agreement showed almost perfect agreement, and the intraclass correlation coefficient of the interrater agreement had a significantly higher agreement rate.
