While current light-driven microswimmers require high-intensity light, UV light, or toxic fuels to propel them, powering them with low-intensity UV-free visible light without fuels is essential to enable their potential high-impact applications. Therefore, in this study, a new material for light-driven microswimmers in the form of CoO is introduced. Janus CoO-TiO2 microswimmers powered with low-intensity, UV-free visible light inside water without using any toxic fuels like H2O2 is proposed. The microswimmers show propulsion under full spectrum of visible light with 17 times lower intensity than the mean solar intensity. They propel by breaking down water into oxygen and oxide radicals, which enables their potential applications for photocatalysis and drug delivery. The microswimmers are multiwavelength responsive, from the ultraviolet to the infrared region. The direction of swimming changes with the change in the illumination from the visible to UV light. In addition to being responsive, they are wavelength steerable and exhibit inherent magnetic properties enabling magnetic steering control of the CoO-TiO2 microswimmers. Thus, these microswimmers, which are propelled under low-intensity visible light, have direction-changing capability using light of different wavelengths, and have steering control capability by external magnetic fields, could be used in future potential applications, such as active and local cargo delivery, active photocatalysis, and hydrogen evolution.COVID-19 infection, a highly contagious disease caused by the SARS-CoV virus, and the World Health Organization declared this increasingly spreading disease as a global public health emergency (pandemic). In the diagnosis of COVID-19, the polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) is considered as the reference standard test. In the early stages, thorax CT findings could be present even before the onset of symptoms, thorax CT has quite high sensitivity in COVID-19 patients with false negative RT-PCR results, and it has a great importance not only in diagnosis but also in follow up (6,7). We think that it might be beneficial for our radiologist colleagues in the early diagnosis of the imaging features of this disease, by sharing the experiences we have gained by evaluating the typical and relatively atypical CT findings regarding the natural course of the tomographic findings of COVID-19 and when to control CT.A global public health problem with a high rate spread and transmission, Coronavirus outbreak has become the most talked-about matter throughout the world. We are severely affected by the nations with vast numbers of deaths; it was hard to predict such a colossal pandemic with terrifying consequences. Elective surgeries are limited, but situations requiring an urgent gynaecological or obstetric surgical approach must still be performed during the COVID-19 pandemic. Concerns regarding surgical safety and the risk of viral transmission during surgery are of great importance. In this review, we aimed to summarize the concepts related to laparoscopic gynecological surgery during COVID-19 pandemic in the light of current literature.Long noncoding RNA (lncRNA) LINC00473 has been reported to be involved in the regulation of several human cancers. However, the regulatory mechanism of LINC00473 is still unknown in lung adenocarcinoma. In this study, RT-qPCR was used to measure the expression of LINC00473, miR-1294 and ROBO1. The functional mechanism of the LINC00473/miR-1294/ROBO1 pathway was investigated by CCK-8, Transwell and dual luciferase reporter assays. The results showed that LINC00473 was up-regulated and miR-1294 was down-regulated in lung adenocarcinoma tissues and cells. LINC00473 can bind to miR-1294, and reciprocal inhibition between LINC00473 and miR-1294 expression was identified in lung adenocarcinoma. Functionally, LINC00473 promoted cell proliferation and motility in lung adenocarcinoma by downregulating miR-1294. In addition, miR-1294 directly targets ROBO1. ROBO1 served as an oncogene in lung adenocarcinoma. In particular, LINC00473 promoted the progression of lung adenocarcinoma by upregulating ROBO1. In conclusion, LINC00473 acts as a tumor promoter in lung adenocarcinoma by regulating the miR-1294/ROBO1 axis. SERPING1 gene defects encoding C1 esterase inhibitor (C1INH) are responsible from the disease. Fifteen patients with HAE are retrospectively evaluated in this study. All patients (n=15) had HAE type I, 13 were from the same family, other two from two different families. read more Median age at onset of symptoms was 7 years (2-20); median age on diagnosis, 12 (0,5-41) and median delay in diagnosis, 3 years (0-33). Clinical symptoms were extremity edema(92,3%), facial edema(46%), abdominal pain(46%), genital edema(46%), and laryngeal edema(23%). Some patients suffered from recurrent abdominal pain, had been empirically given colchicine with familial mediterranean fever (FMF) when they admitted. One presented with bullous skin eruption, soon after developed extremity edema. Both resolved spontaneously after C1INH concentrate therapy. Two females suffered from recurrent genital edema after sexual activity. One patient experienced compartment syndrome-like swelling of extremity after playing football. One patient diagnosed with panic attack due to fear of death by asphyxiation, and was diagnosed with HAE disease. A nonsense mutation in exon 8, a missense mutation in exon 2 in SERPING1 gene was present in Family 1 and another patient (P14) from the other family, respectively. Sporadic/autosomal dominant inheritance ratio was 2/3 in the families present in our series. Patients with HAE presents with a large spectrum of symptoms. In mediterranean countries, patients with abdominal attacks may be misdiagnosed with FMF. Thus, health-care professionals should be alert, and put HAE in the first line of differential diagnoses when the disease symptoms are present. Consequently, morbidity/mortality will decrease with effective treatment options.Knee osteoarthritis is the most common type of arthritis, which is manifested by the deformation and degeneration of articular cartilage and the discomfort of patients with joint pain, which affects the quality of life of patients and aggravates the medical burden of society. The pathogenesis of knee osteoarthritis is very complex. This paper reviews the inflammatory factors and signal pathways involved in knee osteoarthritis. It is found that most of the inflammatory factors involved are interleukin, such as IL-1 β, IL-6, IL-15, IL-17, IL-18, and tumor necrosis factors, such as TNF-α. These inflammatory factors aggravate knee osteoarthritisby activating corresponding pathways and promoting the release of inflammatory mediators. The inflammatory signaling pathways involved in knee osteoarthritis are complex. Notch pathway, Wnt pathway, SDF-1 / CXCR4 pathway, TLRs pathway, MAPKs pathway, hippo Yap pathway, OPG-RANK-RANKL pathway and TGF-β pathway are all involved in the regulation of knee osteoarthritis, and the pathways related to inflammatory mechanism are mainly MAPKs pathway and TLRs pathway. Different signaling pathways can cause the destruction of articular cartilage, promote the apoptosis of chondrocytes, and finally lead to the further imbalance of homeostasis in the knee joint. At the same time, the activation of signal pathway can promote the release of inflammatory factors, so under the cascade reaction of inflammatory factors and signal pathway, knee osteoarthritis is aggravating.Discoid meniscus injury is a kind of common sports injury. Its treatment methods include arthroscopic discoid meniscus plasty, discoid meniscus subtotal resection, discoid meniscus total resection and so on. Although the short-term clinical effect is good, the long-term clinical effect is not ideal. At present, different scholars have different views on the choice of surgical methods for discoid meniscus injury. In recent years, many scholars have shown that the choice of operation and the change of lower limb force line are related to the therapeutic effect of discoid meniscus injury. This paper mainly summarizes the current situation of the treatment of discoid meniscus injury and the changes of the force line of the lower limbs after operation, and expounds therole of the evaluation of the force line of the lower limbs in the treatment of discoid meniscus, so as to provide the basis for the clinical individualized treatment of discoid meniscus injury.OBJECTIVE To explore the operative method and clinical effect of lateral mini plate and Kirschner wire in the treatment of distal humeral metaphysis junction fracture in children. METHODS From January 2015 to December 2018, 21 cases of distal humeral diaphyseal metaphyseal junction fracture were analyzed retrospectively, including 12 males and 9 females, aged 2 to 10 years with an average age of 4.5 years, and the time from injury to operation was 6 hours to 7 days. The imaging data showed that the fracture line was located at the junction of the distal humerus and metaphysis. There were 10 oblique fractures, 8 transverse fractures and 3 comminuted fractures. The operation methods were open reduction, lateral mini plate and Kirschner wire assisted internal fixation, and the improved Flynn elbow joint scoring standard was used to evaluate the clinical effect. RESULTS All the 21 children were followed up for 8 to 24 months, with an average of 13 months. The healing time was 6 to 8 weeks, with an average of 7.2 weeks. There were no complications such as fracture displacement, cubitus varus and ulnar nerve injury. According to the improved Flynn elbow joint scoring standard, 19 cases were excellent and 2 cases were good. CONCLUSION The treatment of distal humeral metaphyseal junction fracture in children is different from that of supracondylar fracture of humerus.OBJECTIVE To observe the clinical effect of elastic intramedullary nail in minimally invasive treatment of floating knee injury in children. METHODS From January 2009 to September 2017, 11 children with floating knee injury were treated with one-off open reduction and elastic intramedullary nail or external fixator fixation, including 7 males and 4 females, aged 5.0 to 11.0 years, with an average age of 8.3 years. The treatment results were evaluated according to karlstrom's standard. RESULTS Eleven patients were followed up for 8 to 48 months, with an average of 28 months. All the fractures healed at one time, and there were no complications such as nonunion, malunion and serious dysfunction of knee joint. The length of the affected limb in 2 cases was 1.2 to 1.5 cm longer than that in the opposite side without shortening. According to Karlstrom scoring standard, 8 cases were excellent, 1 case was good and 2 cases were middle. CONCLUSION Elastic intramedullary nail minimally invasive treatment of floating knee injury in children is a safe and effective treatment, which can effectively reduce the fracture and promote bone healing, which is conducive to early functional recovery.
