Post-procedural early complications must be considered particularly in patients with ViV TAVI because of higher clinical risk profiles.Neurodevelopmental disorder with dysmorphic facies and distal limb anomalies (NEDDFL), defined primarily by developmental delay/intellectual disability, speech delay, postnatal microcephaly, and dysmorphic features, is a syndrome resulting from heterozygous variants in the dosage-sensitive bromodomain PHD finger chromatin remodeler transcription factor BPTF gene. To date, only 11 individuals with NEDDFL due to de novo BPTF variants have been described. To expand the NEDDFL phenotypic spectrum, we describe the clinical features in 25 novel individuals with 20 distinct, clinically relevant variants in BPTF, including four individuals with inherited changes in BPTF. In addition to the previously described features, individuals in this cohort exhibited mild brain abnormalities, seizures, scoliosis, and a variety of ophthalmologic complications. These results further support the broad and multi-faceted complications due to haploinsufficiency of BPTF.Metal nanoclusters (NCs), which are composed of about 250 or fewer metal atoms, possess great potential as novel functional materials. Fundamental research on metal NCs gradually started in the 1960s, and since 2000, thiolate (SR)-protected metal NCs have been the main metal NCs actively studied. The precise and systematic isolation of SR-protected metal NCs has been achieved in 2005. Since then, research on SR-protected metal NCs for both basic science and practical application has rapidly expanded. This review describes this recent progress in the field of SR-protected metal NCs in three areas synthesis, understanding, and application. Specifically, the recent study of alloy NCs and connected structures composed of NCs is highlighted in the "synthesis" section, recent knowledge on the reactivity of NCs in solution is highlighted in the "understanding" section, and the applications of NCs in the energy and environmental field are highlighted in the "application" section. This review provides insight on the current state of research on SR-protected metal NCs and discusses the challenges to be overcome for further development in this field as well as the possibilities that these materials can contribute to solving the problems facing modern society.Glaucoma is the main reason for irreversible blindness, and pathological increased intraocular pressure is the leading risk factor for glaucoma. It is reported that trabecular meshwork cell injury is closely associated with the elevated intraocular pressure. The current study aimed to investigate the role of small nucleolar RNA host gene 3 (SNHG3) in human trabecular meshwork (HTM) cells under oxidative stress. A series of experiments including real-time quantitative polymerase chain reaction, subcellular fractionation assay, western blot analysis, cell counting kit-8 assay, RNA pull down, flow cytometry analysis, and RNA immunoprecipitation assay were used to explore the biological function and regulatory mechanism of SNHG3 in HTM cells under oxidative stress. First, we observed that H2 O2 induced SNHG3 upregulation in HTM cells. Then, we found that SNHG3 silencing alleviated H2 O2 -induced oxidative damage in HTM cells. Moreover, snail family transcriptional repressor 2 (SNAI2) knockdown alleviated the oxidative damage induced by H2 O2 in HTM cells. Mechanistically, SNHG3 bound with ELAV like RNA binding protein 2 (ELAVL2) to stabilize SNAI2. However, the exact function of KLF3 in goat subcutaneous adipocyte remains unknown. Here, the goat KLF3 gene was firstly cloned and showed that the mRNA sequence of the goat KLF3 gene was 1,264 bp (GenBank accession number KU041753.1) and its coding sequence was 1,037 bp, encoding 345 amino acids with three classic zinc finger domains of KLFs family at its C-terminus. The alignment of the amino acid sequence of KLF3 among various species demonstrated that goat had the highest homology to that of sheep, presenting 99.4% similarity, while the homology similarity to that of mice presented only 93.62% in contrast. Furthermore, KLF3 had highest mRNA level in fat tissue and lowest level in the heart in comparison. Additionally, the mRNA level of KLF3 gradually tended to increase during adipogenesis. Interestingly, overexpression of KLF3 increased lipid accumulation. In line with this, the gain-of-function of KLF3 dramatically elevated the mRNA levels of TG synthetic genes and adipogenic maker genes (p less then .01) . Moreover, overexpression of KLF3 upregulated all the potential target genes, except for C/EBPα. These results suggested that KLF3 is a positive regulator for subcutaneous adipocyte differentiation in goats.
Developmental dysarthria is a motor speech impairment commonly characterized by varying levels of reduced speech intelligibility. The relationship between intelligibility deficits and acoustic vowel space among these individuals has long been noted in the literature, with evidence of vowel centralization (e.g., in English and Mandarin). However, the degree to which this centralization occurs and the intelligibility-acoustic relationship is maintained in different vowel systems has yet to be studied thoroughly. In comparison with American English, the Hebrew vowel system is significantly smaller, with a potentially smaller vowel space area, a factor that may impact upon the comparisons of the acoustic vowel space and its correlation with speech intelligibility. Data on vowel space and speech intelligibility are particularly limited for Hebrew speakers with motor speech disorders.

To determine the nature and degree of vowel space centralization in Hebrew-speaking adolescents and young adults with dysarthria, in comparison with typically developing (TD) peers, and to correlate these findings with speech intelligibility scores.
