Methods The patients receiving CBT excision in Peking Union Medical College Hospital from May 1,2013 to July 31,2017 were included for a retrospective cohort study.The potential factors of intraoperative requirement for vasopressor infusions were investigated using univariate analysis and Logistic multivariate analysis.Furthermore,the relationships of Shamblin types of CBT with intraoperative MAP/HR fluctuations and requirements for vasoactive agents were analyzed. Results A total of 108 patients with 116 CBTs were included.Univariate analysis revealed that maximum tumor diameter >4 cm,intraoperative internal carotid artery injury,internal carotid artery reconstruction,malignant pathology,advanced Shamblin types(type Ⅱ and Ⅲ),estimated blood loss ≥400 ml,and operation duration >4 hours were associated with intraoperative requirements for vasopressor infusions.Logistic analysis showed that Shamblin type Ⅲ(OR=2.286,95% CI=1.324-14.926,P=0.016)and operation duration >4 hours(OR=3.874,95% CI=1.020-14.623,P=0.046)were risk factors for intraoperative requirements for vasopressor infusions during CBT surgery.In addition,Shamblin type Ⅲ was associated with intraoperative abnormal HR elevation and requirements for vasopressors.Conclusions Shamblin type Ⅲ and operation duration>4 hours are risk factors for intraoperative requirements of patients for using vasopressor infusions during CBT surgery.Shamblin type Ⅲ is associated with intraoperative abnormal HR elevation and requirements for vasopressors.Objective To investigate the effects of self-made carriers on the cryopreservation of ovarian tissue of sheep. Methods Thirty-two ovaries were randomly assigned to fresh group,programmed freezing group,self-made carrier I vitrification group,and self-made carrier Ⅱ vitrification group.The morphology,proliferation,apoptosis,and estrogen level of the ovarian tissue in each group were observed. Results After cryopreservation,the morphology normal rate of the primordial follicles in programmed freezing group,self-made carrier I vitrification group,and self-made carrier Ⅱ vitrification group were 74.2%,72.8%,and 72.3%,respectively,lower than that(83.7%)in the fresh group(χ2=13.079,P=0.004).The percentage of normal primary follicles in programmed freezing group was lower than that in the fresh group(χ2=12.486,P=0.000).The percentage of normal primary follicles showed no significant difference between vitrification groups and fresh group(P=1.000,P=0.972).There was no significant difference in estrogen level or the positive expression rate of PCNA among the 4 groups(F=0.363,P=0.780;χ2=0.359,P=0.949).The number of apoptotic cells in cryopreservation groups was significantly higher than that in the fresh group(F=37.584,P=0.000),and it was significantly higher in the programmed freezing group than in the two vitrification groups(F=18.992,P=0.000). Conclusion Compared with slow programmed freezing,the vitrification with self-made carriers could well preserve the activity of cells in large sheep ovarian tissue blocks.Objective To verify the relationship between catheter-related urinary tract infection(CAUTI)and stress hyperglycemia during catheter retention in stroke patients. Methods We used nosocomial infection monitoring system to track the status of CAUTI in stroke patients in a hospital.The study cohort was all the patients who received retention catheterization from January 2016 to March 2020.According to the nested case-control design,multivariate logistic regression analysis was performed to explore the relationship between stress hyperglycemia and CAUTI in stroke patients with indwelling catheter. Results A total of 322 cases of CAUTI and 644 cases of non-CAUTI were enrolled in this study.The length of stay in the case group was(20.68 ± 3.73)d,significantly longer than that[(13.00 ± 4.01)d]in the control group(t=29.473,P less then 0.001).Compared with non-stress hyperglycemia,stress hyperglycemia posed a higher risk of CAUTI in the stroke patients with indwelling catheter(OR=2.020,95% CI=1.447-2.821,P=0.000)and led to the higher incidence of CAUTI in one thousand days(P less then 0.001). Conclusion Stress hyperglycemia in the stroke patients with indwelling catheter can significantly increase the risk of CAUTI.Objective To determine the relationship between air pollutants [SO2,NO2,8 hours average concentration of ozone(O38h)] and outpatient visits for acne in Lanzhou,China. Methods Data of daily outpatient visits for acne and concentrations of air pollutants(SO2,NO2,and O38h)from January 2013 to December 2017 were collected.With the control of long-term trend and day-of-week effect,a distributed lag nonlinear model was used to analyze the lag and cumulative effects of air pollutants on the outpatient visits.The model was established based on the different groups of gender and age. Results During the study period,the average daily outpatient visits were 34.94±15.27,and the average concentrations of SO2,NO2,and O38h were 24.09,43.77,and 82.94 μg/m3,respectively.The Spearman's correlation analysis showed that the daily outpatient visits for acne were positively correlated with NO2 concentration while negatively correlated with O38h concentration;SO2 concentration was negatively correlated with O38h concentration;NO2 concentration was positively correlated with SO2 and O38h concentrations.A 10 μg/m3 increase in daily concentrations of NO2 and SO2 was respectively associated with 2.61%(95% CI=0.98%-4.27%)and 1.71%(95% CI=0.54%-2.89%)increase in the outpatient visits for acne.A 10 μg/m3 increase in O38h concentration was associated with -0.62%(95% CI=-1.12%--0.11%)increase in the outpatient visits.Multipollutant models indicated that air pollutant concentrations were significantly associated with the daily outpatient visits for acne. read more Conclusions SO2 and NO2 are positively associated with daily dermatological department visits for acne in Lanzhou,while O38h concentration has a negative correlation with the visits.The sensitivity of acne daily outpatient visits to changes in SO2,NO2,and O38h varies among patients of different genders and at different ages.
