Herein, a unique yolk-shell structure of Fe2 O3 nanotube@hollow Co9 S8 nanocage@C is rationally prepared. In a prearranged sequence, the fabrication of Fe2 O3 nanotubes is followed by coating of zeolitic imidazolate framework (ZIF-67) layer, chemical etching of ZIF-67 by thioacetamide, and eventual annealing treatment. Benefiting from the hollow structures of Fe2 O3 nanotubes and Co9 S8 nanocages, the conductivity of carbon coating and the synergy effects between different components, the titled sample possesses abundant accessible active sites, favorable electron transfer rate, and exceptional reaction kinetics in the electrocatalysis. As a result, excellent electrocatalytic activity for alkaline OER is achieved, which delivers a low overpotential of 205 mV at the current density of 10 mA cm-2 along with the Tafel slope of 55 mV dec-1 . Moreover, this material exhibits excellent high-rate capability and excellent cycle life when employed as anode material of LIBs. This work provides a novel approach for the design and the construction of multifunctional electrode materials for energy conversion and storage.
In the JCOG1108/WJOG7312G trial, a combination (FLTAX) of 5-fluorouracil (FU) /leucovorin (FL) and paclitaxel (PTX) did not show superiority in overall survival (OS) to FL in untreated patients with severe peritoneal metastasis of gastric cancer (GC-SPM), some of whom received second-line chemotherapy with PTX after FL. This post hoc study aimed to investigate the clinical implications of using both FU and PTX either sequentially or in combination for patients with GC-SPM.
A total of 94 patients were enrolled and categorized into the following three subgroups patients treated with (1) FL followed by PTX (FL/PTX, N=25), (2) FL followed by best supportive care (BSC) (FL/BSC, N=21), and (3) FLTAX (N=48). OS was compared between the subgroups. By comparing baseline factors between the FL/PTX and FL/BSC subgroups, factors preventing the sequential use of PTX (SUP) were explored using logistic regression model. The efficacy of FL and FLTAX was compared according to the presence of risk factors preventing SUP.

Pulmonary congestion during exercise assessed by lung ultrasound predicts negative outcome in patients with heart failure with preserved ejection fraction (HFpEF). We aimed at assessing predictors of exercise-induced pulmonary B-lines in HFpEF patients.
Eighty-one I-II NYHA class HFpEF patients (65.0 ±8.2 y/o, 56.8% females) underwent standard and strain echocardiography, lung ultrasound, and natriuretic peptide assessment during supine exercise echocardiography (baseline and peak exercise). Peak values and their changes were compared in subgroups according to exercise lung congestion grading (peak B-lines >10 or ≤10). Exercise elicited significant changes for all echocardiographic parameters in both subgroups [39/81 (48.1%) with peak B-lines >10; 42/81 (51.9%) with B-lines ≤10]. Peak values and changes of E-wave (and its derived indices) were significantly higher in patients with >10 peak B-lines compared with those with ≤10 B-line (all P-values <0.03), showing significant correlation with peak B-lines for all parameters; concomitantly, global longitudinal strain (GLS) and global strain rate (GSR) during systole (GSRs), early (GSRe) and late (GSRa) diastole, and isovolumic relaxation (GSRivr) were reduced in patients with B-lines >10 (all P-values <0.05), showing a negative correlation with peak B-lines. By adjusted linear regression analysis, peak and change diastolic parameters (E-wave, E/e', GSRivr, and E/GSRivr) and peak GLS were individually significantly associated with peak B-lines. By covariate-adjusted multivariable model, E/e' and GSRa at peak exercise were retained as independent predictors of peak B-lines, with substantial goodness of fit of model (adjusted R
0.776).

In male patients with low rectal cancer undergoing abdominoperineal resection (APR), successful dissection of the anterior anorectum is key to reducing the risk of circumferential resection margin involvement, intraoperative bowel perforation, and local recurrence, but it is challenging. To overcome difficulties dissecting the anterior anorectum, we present a safe and feasible procedure using a transperineal endoscopic approach during APR (TpAPR).
The male patient is placed in the prone jackknife position. TpAPR precedes the procedure from an abdominal approach. We use some pelvic tissues as clear anatomical landmarks to dissect the anterior anorectum. The key steps of this procedure are shown in the video.

In this single-center, real-world study, we retrospectively analyzed the outcome and safety profile of ixazomib-based maintenance therapy in patients who plateaued with the responses of steady disease or better after bortezomib-based induction therapy in MM patients not undergoing transplantation.
Of all the 71 patients, 37 cases (52.1%) were newly diagnosed MM (NDMM) and 34 cases (47.9%) were relapsed and/or refractory MM (RRMM). The overall response rate (ORR) was 81.7%, including 34 patients (47.9%) with a very good response rate or better (≥VGPR) after a median of nine cycles (6-14) of bortezomib-based induction therapy. link2 Then the ORR was transformed to 74.6% including 39 patients of ≥VGPR (54.9%) after a median of six courses (2-25) of ixazomib- ixazomib is a favorable option of long-term administration for maintenance with efficacy and feasibility and confirmed the association between deepening responses with ixazomib and prolonged PFS.
Chemotherapy can induce cellular senescence and a secretory phenotype characterized by an increased expression of inflammatory cytokines, such as IL-6 and MCP-1. Increased IL-6 and MCP-1 serum concentrations have been documented in dogs with lymphoma, but no studies have evaluated the effects of chemotherapy on cytokine concentrations.
To measure IL-6 and MCP-1 in 16 client-owned dogs with lymphoma, at baseline and before and after doxorubicin, as a potential marker for senescence and correlate cytokine concentrations with treatment response and toxicities.
Serum IL-6 and MCP-1 concentrations at baseline, 0-h, 3-h, 6-h, 24-h and 1week post doxorubicin were measured using a canine ELISA. We hypothesized that IL-6 and MCP-1 concentrations would increase following doxorubicin as a result of induction of cellular senescence.
IL-6 concentrations were unchanged from baseline to 0-h but significantly decreased 1week post doxorubicin (p=0.001) compared to 0-6h (p=0.045) and 24-h (p=0.001) time points. It is shown that octopus-Pc forms stable monolayers on gold, where its face-on orientation allows for subsequent binding of crown-phthalocyanine molecules via potassium ion bridges. link3 This chemistry is utilized to form a heterogeneous bilayer, in which a single molecule thick adlayer brings an additional redox-state to the system, thus expanding the multistability of the system as a whole. Microfluidic cell culture models of angiogenesis are favored for their ability to recapitulate 3D tissue structures and control spatiotemporal aspects of the microenvironments. To capture the angiogenesis process, microfluidic models often include endothelial cells and a fibroblast component. However, the influence of fibroblast organization on resulting angiogenic behavior remains unclear. Here a comparative study of angiogenic sprouting on a microfluidic chip induced by fibroblasts in 2D monolayer, 3D dispersed, and 3D spheroid culture formats, is conducted. Vessel morphology and sprout distribution for each configuration are measured, and these observations are correlated with measurements of secreted factors and numerical simulations of diffusion gradients.
