The correlation was analyzed between airway remodeling and asthma control and quality of life. Results Effects of BT in post-treatment group, compared with pre-treatment group the mass of ASM and collagen in airway wall was significantly decreased [(9.8±2.5)% vs (25.8±7.7)%, (12.9±4.0)% vs (17.4±5.6)%] (both P0.05). The mass of ASM was negatively correlated with ACT score (r=-0.712), miniAQLQ score (r=-0.557) and FEV(1)%pred (r=-0.477), while the mass of collagen was negatively correlated with ACT score (r=-0.549) and miniAQLQ score (r=-0.639) (all P less then 0.05). Conclusion BT treatment could improve airway remodeling, asthma control and quality of life in patients with severe asthma; besides, the reduction of remodeling is related to the improvements of asthma control and quality of life. Objective To explore the correlation between Semaphorin 4D (Sema4D) and rheumatoid arthritis (RA) clinical manifestations, laboratory indexes, bone destruction and rheumatoid arthritis related interstitial lung disease(RA-ILD), and to analyze its significance in evaluating the severity of patients with rheumatoid arthritis. Methods A total of 108 RA patients and 50 healthy controls from September 2018 to October 2019 were collected from the Department of Rheumatology and Immunology, Peking University People's Hospital and Beijing Haidian Hospital. According to the DAS 28 score, RA patients were divided into active disease group (DAS28>2.6) and stable disease group (DAS28 ≤ 2.6). Fifty healthy controls. The levels of Sema4D in serum were detected by enzyme-linked immunoassay method (ELISA), and their correlation with clinical manifestations of RA, laboratory indicators, degree of bone damage and RA-ILD were analyzed. Results The level of serum Sema4D in RA active group was significantly higher than that in stanosis evaluation in RA patients. Objective To clarify the endoscopic changes prior to corticosteroid therapy in Cronkhite-Canada syndrome (CCS) patients and to explore the correlation between endoscopic features and clinical characteristics. Methods A total of 24 CCS patients who were hospitalized in Peking Union Medical College Hospital from January 1999 to June 2019 and underwent gastroscopy and colonoscopy before corticosteroid therapy were retrospectively enrolled. The endoscopic images were re-interpreted. The demographic characteristics, clinical manifestations, laboratory tests and histopathological data were collected and analyzed. Results Of all 24 patients, 15 (62.5%) were male and 9(37.5%) were female, with an average age of (59±10) years and disease course of 6 (1~36) months. Based on the endoscopic findings, the percentages of stomach, colon, duodenum, rectum and terminal ileum involvement were 100%, 100%, 95.7%, 66.7% and 50.0% respectively. Gastric involvement was more severe in the lower part of the body and the antrum of the cardia spared [(29±8) g/L vs (37±5) g/L, P=0.034]. Conclusions The typical initial endoscopic finding of CCS is multiple polyps or nodular changes on the background of diffuse hyperemia and edema lining the gastric, duodenal and colonic mucosa. https://www.selleckchem.com/products/mi-773-sar405838.html Lymphatic dilatation in the duodenum could also be found. Some endoscopic features are correlated to clinical characteristics. Objective To investigate the expression of CD8(+)CD25(+)T cells in peripheral blood of patients with rheumatoid arthritis (RA) and its correlation with clinical indicators of rheumatoid arthritis. Methods Peripheral blood was collected from 38 patients with RA, and 20 healthy control subjects, RA patients admitted to Peking University people's hospital from May to October 2018, and record the RA patients with the clinical manifestations and laboratory indexes, extraction in the peripheral blood lymphocytes, using flow cytometry to analyse the percentage of CD8(+)CD25(+)T cells in peripheral blood, by using the software SPASS20 and Prism6 to analyze its correlation with clinical and laboratory indices. Results The expression of CD8(+)CD25(+)T cells in peripheral blood of RA patients was significantly increased, which was statistically different from that of healthy patients (P less then 0.05). CD8(+)CD25(+)T cells in peripheral blood of RA patients showed significant positive correlation with ESR(r=0.352,P=0.030), CCP(r=0.312,P=0.047) and DAS28(r=0.330,P=0.043), and negatively correlated with C3 (r=-0.354,P=0.046) and C4(r=-0.440,P=0.010).No significant correlation was found in other indicators. In RA patients, there were statistically significant differences in CD8(+)CD25(+)T cells between the low-disease active group and the high-disease active group(P less then 0.05), but CD8(+)CD25(+)T cells between the low-disease active group and the moderate-disease active group, or between the moderate-disease active group and the high-disease active group had no significant statistical difference. Conclusion CD8(+)CD25(+)Tcells in peripheral blood of patients with RA are significantlyincreased, and aresignificantly correlated with laboratory and clinical indicators, which may play an important role in the pathogenesis of rheumatoid arthritis. Objective To evaluate the sleep status and the correlation of sleep status with inflammatory bowel disease (IBD). Methods A case-control study was carried out, including 568 IBD patients including 188 ucerative colitis (UC) patients and 380 Crohn's disease (CD) patients at 36 hospitals from January 1, 2018 to August 31, 2019, and 671 family members and healthy controls from the same cities. The survey consisted of three parts including general demographic data, clinical characteristics and sleep related factors by questionnaires. The items for sleep related factor included sleep duration on work days, sleep duration on weekends, sleep quality, sleep adequacy, snoring, sleep apnea and sleep hand foot movement. R language was used for propensity score and SPSS was used for statistical analysis. Results The proportion of poor sleep quality before onset in UC and CD was higher than that in healthy control group (CD 14.5% vs 5.3%, P less then 0.001; UC 15.1% vs 5.4%, P less then 0.001). In CD group, the proportion of snoring before onset (31.
