Losartan cream attenuates imiquimod-induced psoriasis-like irritation.
The mean acetabular cartilage degeneration rate was 0.82 ± 0.54 mm/year at the follow-up. In subgroup analyses, the motion of the outer bearing decreased to some extent with the increase in acetabular wear, and the corresponding O/I ratios among the groups showed a trend of decreasing first and then increasing. The HHS and EQ-5D scores of the patients with osteolysis and femoral stem loosening were much worse than those with fixed implants.

Bipolar prostheses do function as originally intended during gait, but movement primarily occurs at the outer bearing during other examinations. The motion patterns of bipolar prostheses change with the increase in acetabular wear.

Medical big data analytics has revolutionized the human healthcare system by introducing processes that facilitate rationale clinical decision making, predictive or prognostic modelling of the disease progression and management, disease surveillance, overall impact on public health and research. Although, the electronic medical records (EMR) system is the digital storehouse of rich medical data of a large patient cohort collected over many years, the data lack sufficient structure to be of clinical value for applying deep learning methods and advanced analytics to improve disease management at an individual patient level or for the discipline in general. Ophthatome™ captures data contained in retrospective electronic medical records between September 2012 and January 2018 to facilitate translational vision research through a knowledgebase of ophthalmic diseases.

The electronic medical records data from Narayana Nethralaya ophthalmic hospital recorded in the MS-SQL database was mapped and programmatically rse population providing opportunity to study genetic and environmental factors contributing to or influencing ophthalmic diseases.

Ophthatome™ will accelerate clinical, genomic, pharmacogenomic and advanced translational research in ophthalmology and vision sciences.

Receptor tyrosine kinase-like orphan receptor 1 (ROR1) is normally detectable in embryonic tissues and absent in adult tissues. ROR1 was shown to inhibit apoptosis, potentiate EGFR signaling and reported to be overexpressed and associated with poor prognosis in several tumor models. This study aimed to assess the expression of ROR1 in lung adenocarcinoma (AC) patients.

We analyzed ROR1 expression by quantitative real-time PCR (qRT-PCR) in 56 histologically confirmed lung AC, stage I to IV, in addition we evaluated its association with TTF-1 (thyroid transcription factor-1) expression and the main molecular alterations involved in lung cancerogenesis.

ROR1 overexpression was observed in 28.6% of the entire cohort, using a cut-off of 1, or in 51.8% of the cases using the median value as threshold. Among patients without any genetic alteration, ROR1 overexpression was observed in 34.8% considering a cut-off of 1 and 52.2% considering the median value. The distribution of ROR1 was homogeneous among the different molecular categories we found no association of ROR1 expression and the presence of gene mutations/rearrangements or the expression of TTF-1.

ROR1 overexpression could constitute a potential therapeutic target because altered in a consistent number of lung AC, especially in cases without druggable genetic alterations. ROR1 expression is independent of classical lung cancer molecular alterations and not correlated, in a Caucasian cohort, to TTF-1 expression.

To date, the rates of potentially life-threatening condition (PTLC), maternal near miss (MNM) and maternal deaths in pregnant patients with type 1 diabetes mellitus (T1DM) and variables associated to it have not been studied.

This study was as a cross-sectional retrospective study conducted at São Paulo Hospital of Universidade Federal de São Paulo, a tertiary hospital that provides public medical care through the Brazilian unified health system to high-risk pregnancies. Inclusion criteria were T1DM pregnant women who delivered from January 2005 to December 2015. #link# Three groups were established by the World Heath Organization criteria and associations were assessed using the chi-square test in between MNM and no morbidity or PLTC and no morbidity. A P value < 0.05 was considered statistically significant.

The final sample included 137 patients, 8 MNM cases (5.84%), 51 PLTC (37.23%), no cases of maternal deaths and 78 patients (56.93%) did not present any complication. Moreover, there were 122 live birte could not predict what increases MNM and PLTC in this specific population.
MNM rate in T1DM was extremely high, and determined by complications of the primary disease or hypertensive disorders. find more studied were related to maternal morbidity; therefore, we could not predict what increases MNM and PLTC in this specific population.
Respiratory tract infections are one of the common infection associated with Hajj pilgrimage that is of great public health and global concern. This study is aimed at determining the factor structure of the knowledge, attitude, and practice questionnaire for the prevention of respiratory tract infections during Hajj by confirmatory factor analysis (CFA).

A multistage cluster sampling method was conducted on Malaysian Umrah pilgrims during the weekly Umrah orientation course. A total of 200 Umrah pilgrims participated in the study. The knowledge, attitude and practice (KAP) questionnaire was distributed to pilgrims at the beginning of the orientation and retrieved immediately at the end of the orientation. link2 Data analysis was done using R version 3.5.0 after data entry into SPSS 24. link3 The robust maximum likelihood was used for the estimation due to the multivariate normality assumption violation. A two-factor model was tested for measurement model validity and construct validity for each of the attitude and practice domains.

CFA of a 25-item in total, the two-factor model yielded adequate goodness-of-fit values. The measurement model also showed good convergent and discriminant validity after model re-specification. A two-factor model was tested for measurement model validity and construct validity for each of the attitude and practice domains. The result also showed a statistically significant value (p < 0.001) with χ
(df) values of 76.8 (43) and 121 (76) for attitude and practice domains, respectively.

The KAP questionnaire was proven to have a valid measurement model and reliable constructs. It was deemed suitable for use to measure the KAP of Hajj and Umrah pilgrims towards the prevention for all respiratory tract infections.

Benign convulsions with mild gastroenteritis (BCWG) is a common condition in children in Asia and is generally not associated with pH or electrolyte imbalances. When BCWG is diagnosed, a lumbar puncture is usually recommended to rule out potential intracranial infections. This study examined the clinical characteristics of BCWG and evaluated the necessity of lumbar puncture.

Medical records of children admitted to the First Hospital of Jilin University with BCWG between January 2018 and May 2019 were reviewed and analyzed. Children were stratified by rotavirus positivity or lumbar puncture status. Clinical characteristics and long-term outcomes were compared between groups.

A total of 51 children were included in the analyses (55.1% rotavirus [HRV] positive). The average age of convulsion onset was 21.12 ± 7.44 months, the male-to-female ratio was 1.81, and convulsions occurred primarily between October 2018 and April 2019. The main clinical presentations of BCWG were convulsions, vomiting, diarrhea, an are unnecessary and should not be recommended.
BCWG is a situation-related seizure, with clinical presentations of tonic-clonic or focal convulsions and mild gastroenteritis (vomiting, diarrhea). Mild metabolic acidosis and hyponatremia may exist. The prognosis of the disease is favorable; lumbar puncture and long-term antiepileptics are unnecessary and should not be recommended.
Pulmonary benign metastasizing leiomyoma (PBML) is a rare disease characterized by leiomyoma of benign histopathology existing in the lungs. Because of its rarity, limited literature with a single case or small number of cases has been regarding to the clinical course, pathology or management of PBML.

A retrospective study was performed of all PBML cases diagnosed and managed at Peking Union Medical College Hospital (PUMCH) from 2001 to 2019. The clinical characteristics, pathology, treatment and outcomes of each case were studied.

There were 25 PBML patients identified in the 19-year period in PUMCH, and 23 patients' data was analyzed. The median age at diagnosis was 46 years. There were 7 patients (30.4%) diagnosed with postmenopausal status. Two patients (8.7%) had no uterine leiomyoma, and 3 patients (13.0%) had no gynecologic surgery history. Immunohistochemistry of most lesions demonstrated positive for desmin, SMA and Estrogen/Progesterone Receptors; and negative for S-100 were shown in 7 cases. After curative or diagnostic surgeries for the PBML, several treatments from observation to medical or surgical castration were performed. Nine premenopausal patients preserved their ovaries at first. At a median follow-up of 8 years, 3 patients finally had oophorectomy.

PBML is a rare disease and should be treated by individualization according to the patients' age, symptoms and extent of lesion. Curative surgery for patients with limited lesions can achieve the complete response. For patients that are young and asymptomatic, close observation is recommended as the first choice. All patients should undergo long-term surveillance.

Although great progress has been made in treatment regimens, cervical cancer remains as one of the most common cancer in women worldwide. Studies focusing on molecules that regulate carcinogenesis may provide potential therapeutic strategies for cervical cancer. B7-H6, an activating immunoligand expressed by several tumor cells, is known to activate NK cell-mediated cytotoxicity once engaged with its natural receptor NKp30. However, the opposite, that is, the effects in the tumor cell triggered by B7-H6 after interacting with NKp30 has not yet been well explored.

In this study, we evaluated the surface expression of B7-H6 by flow cytometry. Later, we stimulated B7-H6 positive cervical cancer derived-cell lines (HeLa and SiHa) with recombinant soluble NKp30 (sNKp30) protein and evaluated biological effects using the impedance RTCA system for cell proliferation, the scratch method for cell migration, and flow cytometry for apoptosis. Cellular localization of B7-H6 was determined using confocal microscopy.

Notably, we observed that the addition of sNKp30 to the cervical cancer cell lines decreased tumor cell proliferation and migration rate, but had no effect on apoptosis.
