Rhinoplasty is a commonly performed cosmetic surgery. Clinicians are facing an increased demand on non-surgical procedures, therefore liquid rhinoplasty is gaining popularity. Given the characteristic of lipofilling to rejuvenate and improve skin texture, fat grafting can be used to reshape the nose in secondary rhinoplasty. Fat was injected in 27 patients with a mean age of 42 years. Volume of fat ranged from 1.5 to 4.5 cc with a mean of 2.2 cc. Patients were seen at 1 week, 3 months, 6 months, and 1 year. Patient satisfaction was measured using the Rhinoplasty Outcome Evaluation questionnaire and plastic surgeons' evaluation. After 1 year follow up, 20 patients were satisfied with the results at 1 year. The aesthetic outcome was noted as very good in 11 patients, good in 9 patients, and poor in 3 patients. Most of the patients had an improvement in skin texture with trophic effect on the skin. No complications were seen in our series According to this study, nasal lipofilling is a safe and efficacious filler in secondary rhinoplasty. However, more studies are needed to assess the indications and limitations of nose lipofilling.
Previous studies found that some breast cancer patients in Germany are invited to participate in a multidisciplinary tumor conference (MTC) during the discussion of their own case. MTCs are regular meetings of a treatment team in which the diagnosis and treatment plan of cancer patients are discussed. Psychological consequences concerning the patients' participation in an MTC have not been examined yet. This study examines the association between patients' participation in MTC and patients' fear of progression (FoP).

This analysis is part of a larger project named "Patient participation in multidisciplinary tumor conferences in Breast Cancer Care" (PINTU) which is a multicenter observational mixed-methods study. The study was conducted in six breast and gynecological cancer centers in North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany. Data were collected from 2018 to 2020 by patient survey at three time points. Selleck NVP-AUY922 Patients with (n=81) and without (n=120) MTC participation were compared. FoP was measured with a 12-item short fariables.
Since the FoP is not influenced by participation, the findings do not support recommendations for or against patient participation in an MTC. Further research should focus on the question of which patient groups might benefit from participation in an MTC with regard to which outcome variables.
The present study sought to understand the state of suicide risk assessment trainings in clinical psychology graduate programs.

We surveyed 167 clinical psychology doctoral students' behavioral competency in responding to suicidal clients and their attitudes, perceived behavioral control, subjective norms, and intentions related to suicide risk assessment. Hypotheses were tested using path analysis.

Ninety six percent of participants reported receiving some type of suicide risk assessment training at their program. Results provided partial support for significant relationships between attitudes, perceived behavioral control, subjective norms, and intentions. Unexpectedly, amount of training in suicide risk assessments was not related to theory of planned behavior variables including behavioral competency.

These findings have implications regarding the effectiveness of current suicide risk assessment training practices and ways to improve trainings to help increase the number of clinical psychologists competent in suicide risk assessment and management.

Due to their stereoselective metabolism, the eutomeric forms of PPIs can present a more advantageous pharmacokinetic profile by comparison with the distomers or racemates. Moreover, two representatives of the class are used in therapy both as racemates and as pure enantiomers (esomeprazole, dexlansoprazole). A relatively large number of enantioseparation methods employed for the stereoselective determination of PPIs from pharmaceutical, biological, and environmental matrices were published in the past three decades. The purpose of the current overview is to provide a systematic survey of the available chiral separation methods published since the introduction of PPIs in the therapy up to the present. Analytical and bioanalytical methods using different chromatographic and electromigration techniques reported for the enantioseparation of omeprazole, lansoprazole, pantoprazole, rabeprazole, ilaprazole, and tenatoprazole are included. The analytical conditions of the presented methods are summarized in three comprehensive tables, while a critical discussion of the applied techniques, possible mechanism of enantiorecognition, and future perspectives on the topic are also presented.Police are often called to address concerns about people experiencing homelessness, with arrests often resulting from low-level, nonviolent crimes, and violations of minor nuisance ordinances. In Portland, Oregon, advocates lobbied for a new model of emergency response for 911 calls involving unhoused community members and people experiencing behavioral health crises. To ensure the program reflected the needs and perspectives of people experiencing homelessness, teams of researchers, community volunteers, and people with lived experience interviewed 184 people in camps, shelters, and parks. Teams asked unhoused people how the program should be designed, including who the first responders should be, how they should approach individuals in crisis, what resources they should provide, and how they should be trained. This article describes the methods, findings, and recommendations from our collaborative survey process aimed at ensuring that the voices of people experiencing homelessness informed the development of the Portland Street Response pilot program.
