This paper is expected to provide a reference for the urban development and economic transformation of emerging economies.China has pledged to peak its carbon dioxide emissions (CEM) before 2030 and achieve carbon neutrality before 2060. The energy consumption related to land urbanization (LURB) and internet penetration (INT) may have a significant impact on CEM. Telaglenastat inhibitor It is critical for China to obtain a better understanding of the interaction among them in order to tackle challenges of climate change in the digital era. Initially, the multivariate panel bootstrap Granger causality test is conducted to estimate the causal effects of LURB and INT on CEM in China. The results reveal that the interaction patterns among them varied across different provinces, and particularly LURB and INT are two determinants of CEM mainly in Eastern China, which is consistent with the stochastic differential model. Then, CEM is not a Granger-cause of LURB and INT in the majority of Chinese provinces, as LURB and INT largely depend on government policies and industrial development. In addition, there are no significant interactions between LURB and CEM in over two-thirds of the provinces and there are also none between INT and CEM in over half of the Chinese provinces. Therefore, Chinese policymakers should further adopt differentiated and efficient policies targeting the weak links and achieve environmental sustainability through low carbon transition. The demand together with the urgency of phosphogypsum (PG) treatment will pose significant challenges for many countries. This research aims to explore the research progress of PG, including basic status, cooperation situation, research fields, and development trends, based on the Web of Science database through bibliometric analysis of publications (articles and patents) from 1990 to 2020. The results show that academic research on PG originated early, but the number of patents grew quickly. China is a global leader in terms of the number of publications and plays a significant role in international cooperation. The knowledge of PG has remained concentrated in the fields of natural radioactivity, cement paste backfilling, soil, crystal morphology, and synthetic gas. However, academic hotspots focus on the microstructure of chemical processes and various environmental impacts; patents and hot technologies are based on the production of refractory materials, ceramics, surface materials, cement mortar, and composite materials. The academic frontiers of PG will be centered on exploiting the methods of recovering rare earth elements from PG, the conditions of ion solidification/stabilization in PG, the impact of reaction conditions on product quality, and the reaction mechanism at the micro-level. The frontiers of patents need to focus on the improvement of manufacturing equipment, new wall materials, and chemically modified polymer materials. Envisaging the number of articles and patents to be published in the future, architectural research has a large room for improvement. This paper conducts an in-depth analysis of PG and provides information on the technological development prospects and opportunities, which is helpful for researchers engaged in PG management.Since mobile sources are one of the most important sources of air pollution, this paper tries to estimate the health effects and economic burden due to fine particulate matter (PM2.5) concentrations from motor vehicles. In this regard, we calculate the economic costs of air pollution emitted by vehicles in Isfahan over the period from March 2018 to March 2020. The concentration of urban traffic pollution based on the generalized additive model (GAM) as well as spatial distribution of pollution is estimated. Health effects are evaluated using AirQ+ updated by the WHO European Centre for Environment and Health. Economic burden of mortality attributable air pollution from traffic is calculated using value of a statistical life (VOSL), and the value of life years (VOLY) approach. The results indicated that the number of deaths attributable to PM2.5 from motor vehicles in these two consecutive years was 136 (95%CI 89-179), and 147 cases (95%CI 96-194), respectively. The number of years of life lost due to premature death from air pollution was 2079 years annually. The economic costs imposed under VOSL approach were on average USD 51.7 (95%CI 43-75) million per year, and according to VOLY approach USD 11.5 (95%CI 9-13) million per year. These results help to analyze the cost-benefit and prioritize control measures to reduce air pollution. In addition, combination of these results with other externality cost of road traffic can take account for urban transportation planning.Intention for safe pesticide use plays a crucial role in the mode of pesticide spraying, but several factors are involved in the formation of intention by farmers. This work focused on the levels of farmers' perception of pesticide risks (i.e., toxicity levels, health, and environmental effects) and utilization of information sources and examined their impact on intention for safe pesticide use in rural Iran. Most farmers (53%) showed low levels of risk perception by pesticide use and reported poor use of the available information sources about pesticides. Pesticide retailers were mentioned as the primary information point of farmers. In addition, almost half of the farmers (49.2%) expressed worryingly negative intention for safe pesticide use. Perception of pesticide risks and utilization of information sources were significantly correlated with age and spraying experience (P less then 0.01), while intention for safe pesticide use was significantly correlated with farming experience (P less then 0.05) and spraying experience (P less then 0.05). Analysis with structural equation modeling showed that perception of pesticide risks and use of information sources together explained 80% of the variability in farmers' intention. Moreover, perception of pesticide risks (P less then 0.01) and employment of information sources (P less then 0.05) had a positive relationship with intention for safe handling of pesticides, thus showing a predictive link with intention. Therefore, promoting farmers' perception of pesticide risks and providing credible information sources are essential for improving intention for safe pesticide use among farmers.
