How has this course influenced your ability to become an effective leader in business through your knowledge of business concepts? Tell me how this course has made an impact on your perspective of business. What did you enjoy most about the course?

Lou Holtz’s speech was captivating and inspirational. When Holtz told the story of how everyone worked together even harder when they were missing their 3 star players, and still managed to win the national champion, I realized how important it was to make sure people worked well together in a group rather than assemble a group of people who each work well individually. It is important to make sure that every member of the team feels like they are contributing to something great and to praise them for their work whenever they accomplish something. Lou Holtz’s usage of witty remarks and personal stories kept the audience engaged and alive. Lou’s remarks on compassion resonated with me and made me realize how everyone on this planet is working towards different goals, yet deserve the same amount of attention and care as anyone else. This course helped open my eyes towards the multiple types of managing that exist, as well as expand my knowledge of business altogether. I enjoyed the part of the course related to communication. I realized how important communication was during the class activity where we had to tell other people how to draw something without letting them see the object they were drawing.
