KCTS, performed up to 72 h from injury, can be used as an additional diagnostic tool for the prediction of survival in cats with TBI.In the present study, a series of thiazolidine-2,4-diones derivatives (3a-3e) and (4a-4e) were synthesized and characterized by 1H NMR, 13C NMR and ESI-MS spectrometry. All compounds were screened for their α-glucosidase and α-amylase inhibitory activities. In vitro biological investigations revealed that most of compounds were active against α-glucosidase with IC50 values in the range of 43.85 ± 1.06 to 380.10 ± 1.02 µM, and α-amylase with IC50 in the range of 18.19 ± 0.11 to 208.10 ± 1.80 µM. Some of the tested compounds were found to be more potent inhibitors than the clinical drug Acarbose (IC50glucosidase = 97.12 ± 0.35 µM and IC50amylase = 2.97 ± 0.004 μM). We followed PRISMA guidelines to conduct a systematic review of the literature on parent perception of pediatric neuropsychological evaluations for children aged 3-21 years. Using a set of predefined search terms, we identified 1,163 abstracts across PubMed, PsycINFO, Cochrane Library, and Web of Science electronic databases and included 12 studies in our qualitative synthesis. Methods Data were derived from the Population Study of Chinese Elderly (N = 2957). Quantile and linear regressions were used to examine the associations between age at migration and Mini-Mental State Examination (MMSE) and global cognitive function, respectively. Results Migration in late middle age (50-64) or late adulthood (65 or older) was associated with lower MMSE scores. Global cognition did not vary by age at migration. Associations between age at migration and MMSE were stronger among individuals with lower education or social engagement. Findings are helpful to identify vulnerable older immigrant segments and provide tailored interventions to promote their cognitive health.Surgeons who care for patients with active SARS-CoV-2 infection represent a unique population of health care providers whose risk of infection has not been elucidated. The objective of this study was to examine SARS-CoV-2 seroprevalence among surgeons who cared for patients with active SARS-CoV-2 infection compared to other employees within our health care system and also the general public of New Orleans. 105 surgeons at our facilities provided direct surgical care to patients with active SARS-CoV-2 infection and underwent voluntary antibody testing. 2/105 (1.9% CI .2%-6.7%) tested positive for SARS-CoV-2 antibodies. 13 343 hospital employees underwent antibody testing and 1066/13 343 (8.0% CI 7.5%-8.5%) tested positive (1.9% vs. 8.0%; P = .03).
