Heavy Symmetrical Variation Circle regarding Cross-modality Health-related Image Division.
Two highly interesting issues emerged (1) whether the loss of CD34 expression in TCs/CD34+SCs is by changes in marker expression or the disappearance of these cells (the findings suggest the first possibility) and (2) whether in some invasive and metastatic malignant tumours, TCs/CD34+SCs that completely surround neoplastic cells act as nurse and/or isolating cells. Further studies are required on adipose tissue TCs/CD34+SCs, mainly in lipomatosis and obesity.Hydrated copolymers of N-vinylpyrrolidone (VP) with triethylene glycol dimethacrylate as a promising platform for biologically active compounds (BAC) were investigated by different physical chemical methods (dynamic light scattering, infrared spectroscopy, thermal gravimetric analysis, and differential scanning calorimetry) and the quantum chemical modeling of water coordination by the copolymers in a solution. According to the quantum chemical simulation, one to two water molecules can coordinate on one O-atom of the lactam ring of VP units in the copolymer. Besides the usual terminal coordination, the water molecule can form bridges to bind two adjacent C=O groups of the lactam rings of VP units. In addition to the first hydration shell, the formation of a second one is also possible due to the chain addition of water molecules, and its structure depends on a mutual orientation of C=O groups. We showed that N,N-dimethylbiguanidine hydrochloride (metformin) as a frontline drug for the treatment of type 2 diabetes mellitus can be associated in aqueous solutions with free and hydrated C=O groups of the lactam rings of VP units in studied copolymers. Based on the characteristics of the H-bonds, we believe that the level of the copolymer hydration does not affect the behavior and biological activity of this drug, but the binding of metformin with the amphiphilic copolymer will delight in the penetration of a hydrophilic drug across a cell membrane to increase its bioavailability.Magnetic oscillation arc (MOA) technology was developed to avoid insufficient fusion defects appearing at the sidewalls in narrow gap gas tungsten arc welding (NG-GTAW). In this work, a unified model was developed to simulate the process of MOA assisted NG-GTAW. The model included the MOA, welding pool, workpiece and the coupling interaction between them. The heating characteristic of the MOA and the flow of liquid metal were simulated, and the mechanism of forming a uniform welding bead under MOA was investigated. It was found that if the magnetic flux density increased to 9 mT, the MOA could point to the sidewall directly; the maximum heat flux at the bottom declined by almost half and at the side, it increased by more than ten times. PD98059 Additionally, the heat flux was no longer concentrated but dispersed along the narrow groove face. Under the effect of MOA, there were mainly two flow vortexes in the molten pool, which could further increase the heat distribution between the bottom, sidewall and corner, and was beneficial for the formation of a good-shape weld. The model was validated by experimental data.Suture biomaterials are critical in wound repair by providing support to the healing of different tissues including vascular surgery, hemostasis, and plastic surgery. Important properties of a suture material include physical properties, handling characteristics, and biological response for successful performance. However, bacteria can bind to sutures and become a source of infection. For this reason, there is a need for new biomaterials for suture with antifouling properties. Here we report two types of cellulose fibers from coconut (Cocos nucifera) and sisal (Agave sisalana), which were purified with a chemical method, characterized, and tested in vitro and in vivo. According to SEM images, the cellulose fiber from coconut has a porous surface, and sisal has a uniform structure without internal spaces. It was found that the cellulose fiber from sisal has mechanical properties closer to silk fiber biomaterial using Ultimate Tensile Strength. When evaluating the cellulose fibers biodegradability, the cellulose from coconut showed a rapid weight loss compared to sisal. The antifouling test was negative, which demonstrated that neither possesses intrinsic microbicidal activity. Yet, a weak biofilm was formed on sisal cellulose fibers suggesting it possesses antifouling properties compared to cellulose from coconut. In vivo experiments using healthy mice demonstrated that the scarring and mechanical connection was like silk for both cellulose fibers. Overall, our results showed the potential use of cellulose fibers from vegetal for surgical sutures due to excellent mechanical properties, rapid degradation, and no bacterial adhesion. The lack of aesthetic properties of electrospun nanofibres in terms of colour appearance is the drive in this preliminary study. This research is conducted to study the dyeing behaviour and colorimetric properties of electrospun nanofibres blended with Remazol Yellow FG reactive dye using dope-dyeing method via electrospinning process. This paper reports the colorimetric properties of dyed poly vinyl alcohol (PVA) nanofibres within the range of 2.5 wt.% to 12.5 wt.% dye content. The electrospinning parameters were fixed at the electrospinning distance of 10 cm, constant feed rate of 0.5 mL/h and applied voltage of 15 kV. The resulting impregnated dye of 10 wt.% exhibits acceptable colour difference of dyed PVA nanofibres, with a mean fibre diameter of 177.1 ± 11.5 nm. The SEM micrographs show the effect of dye content on morphology and fibre diameter upon the increment of dye used. Further increase of dye content adversely affects the jet stability during the electrospinning, resulting in macroscopic dropping phenomenon. The presence of all prominent peaks of Remazol dye in the PVA nanofibers was supported with FTIR analysis. The addition of dye into the nanofibres has resulted in the enhancement of thermal stability of the PVA as demonstrated by TGA analysis. The acoustic imaging (AI) technique could map the position and the strength of the sound source via the signal processing of the microphone array. Conventional methods, including far-field beamforming (BF) and near-field acoustic holography (NAH), are limited to the frequency range of measured objects. A method called Bregman iteration based acoustic imaging (BI-AI) is proposed to enhance the performance of the two-dimensional acoustic imaging in the far-field and near-field measurements. For the large-scale ℓ1 norm problem, Bregman iteration (BI) acquires the sparse solution; the fast iterative shrinkage-thresholding algorithm (FISTA) solves each sub-problem. The interpolating wavelet method extracts the information about sources and refines the computational grid to underpin BI-AI in the low-frequency range. The capabilities of the proposed method were validated by the comparison between some tried-and-tested methods processing simulated and experimental data. The results showed that BI-AI separates the coherent sources well in the low-frequency range compared with wideband acoustical holography (WBH); BI-AI estimates better strength and reduces the width of main lobe compared with ℓ1 generalized inverse beamforming (ℓ1-GIB).
