Late-stage amination associated with drug-like benzoic chemicals: Use of anilines and also medicine conjugates through directed iridium-catalyzed C-H activation.
trilopha. However, at the time of publication of this work, we have not yet managed to identify synapomorphies that would support the different clades of Plakina. This genus includes a total of 39 species to date, of which 10 have been recorded in the Western Tropical Atlantic, and 4 in Caribbean submarine caves. The genus Steinovelia Polhemus Polhemus, 1993 is distributed from southeastern Canada to northeastern Argentina and has been considered to contain five valid species S. permista (Drake, 1951a), S. placida (Drake, 1951a), S. stagnalis (Burmeister, 1835), S. vinnula (Drake, 1951b) and S. virgata (White, 1879a). We present here a revision of the genus with redescriptions of S. permista, S. stagnalis, S. vinnula, and S. virgata, the synonymy of S. placida with S. virgata, a key, distribution maps, and photographs of all species.Material of the "Plesionika martia" (A. Milne-Edwards, 1883) species group from India had been reported as either P. martia or P. semilaevis Bate, 1888. Recent collection, however, revealed that both P .martia and P. semilaevis occur in Indian waters. COI barcoding gene sequence comparisons of the Indian and topotypic material of the four known species of the "P. martia" group showed that the Andaman Sea specimen is most similar to the topotypic specimens of P. martia even though there is high genetic divergence between them. For P. semilaevis, large sequence divergence is found in the topotypic material from the Philippines while the Indian specimens are genetically similar to one of the topotypic specimens. The characteristics of the Indian material of both species are described and illustrated.Seven new species of the millipede genus Nepalmatoiulus Mauriès, 1983 (Julidae) are described from China N. sichuanensis sp. nov., N. chinensis sp. nov., N. muli sp. nov., N. tianbaoshanensis sp. nov., N. pallidus sp. nov., N. weixi sp. nov., N. immaturus sp. nov. One species of the genus Anaulaciulus Pocock, 1895 is new for the Chinese fauna A. inaequipes Enghoff, 1986.A new genus and two new species of Sminthurinae are described. Keratosminthurus tapigu gen. nov. sp. nov. and K. calamitosus sp. nov. show a combination of features that redefines the subfamily Sminthurinae, such as a pair of sminthuroid chaetae, unguis without cavity, nine apical chaetae on tibiotarsus, 11 or more anterior dental chaetae, fourth antennal segment clearly subdivided into many (18 or more) subsegments, and asymmetric apex of mucro. The new genus also presents a striking sexual dimorphism, with modifications on male apical organ of antennal segment III, spines on the clypeus and special organs on the interocular area.A reappraisal of the taxonomic status of the Dark-necked Slug Snake (Asthenodipsas malaccana Peters, 1864) across its range revealed that populations from Borneo are not conspecific with true A. malaccana from the Thai-Malay Peninsula and Sumatra, and is therefore described herein as new. Asthenodipsas borneensis sp. nov. can be distinguished from A. malaccana and other congeners by the absence of a preocular and suboculars, seven or eight supralabials with 3rd and 4th in contact with orbit, 4-7 infralabials with 2nd or 3rd pair in contact, two pairs of posterior inframaxillaries, 15/15/15 rows of dorsal scales, presence of sharp vertebral keel, divided subcaudals, maximum recorded SVL=441 mm, 166-179 ventrals, 35-48 subcaudals, head white to greyish brown and dorsum beige to orange-brown with a conspicuous dark-brown or black patch on the neck followed by multiple, narrow, vertical, dark bands along the rest of the body and tail. This discovery adds to a growing number of new slug snake species recently described from Southeast Asia and highlights the underestimated diversity in this family, especially in Borneo. Taxonomic revisions of the reptiles and amphibians of Borneo are still needed before the true diversity of the island and the relationships of the various taxa can be fully understood. In my 2003 paper (Hlaváč 2003) dealing with a revision of the Pselaphodes complex of genera, I neglected to explicitly designate a depository of the holotype of Taiwanophodes minor Hlaváč sp. n. Under ICZN (1999) Article 16.4.2 this omission invalided its description and the species name. I herein rectify this problem. Two new eutardigrade genera Vladimirobius gen. nov. and Weglarskobius gen. nov. are erected for the species Grevenius irregibilis (Biserov, 1992) and Isohypsibius altai Kaczmarek Michalczyk, 2006a, respectively. They are characterized by strongly modified claws, bucco-pharyngeal apparatus of the Isohypsibius variant, pharyngeal apophyses, and placoids present. The primary branches of internal claws of Vladimirobius gen. nov. are wide in lateral view and have very prominent gibbosity-like projections, whereas primary branches of external claws are thin and extremely long. In Weglarskobius gen. nov. claws IV are similar in shape and size, but the primary branches are extremely long, and thin. Moreover, claws on legs I-III vary greatly in size and shape in Weglarskobius gen. nov. Such supposed autapomorphies fully justify erection of the two new genera, even if the genetic data are presently unavailable.A new genus and species of treehopper (Membracidae Centrotinae) from Nicaragua, Kaikaia gaga, is described and illustrated. Kaikaia is particularly notable in having an assemblage of features more characteristic of the Old World centrotine tribe Beaufortianini than currently recognized New World centrotine tribes. Kaikaia lacks cucullate setae of the mesothoracic femora, which are present in the Boocerini and to some extent, the Platycentrini. Iberdomide chemical structure The new genus also has an additional m-cu crossvein in the forewing, as well as a frontoclypeal shape and overall appearance similar to Platycentrus Stål. Nevertheless, Kaikaia differs from Platycentrus in its narrow, straight shape of the second valvulae, which bear several prominently raised dorsal teeth and an acute projection along the dorsal margin that resemble those of some members of Nessorhinini.Among the 17 known species of the genus Cincticostella, only five of them have been reported as both nymphs and imagoes, which does not include the Chinese species C. fusca Kang et Yang (1995). Here the nymphs are redescribed and reared imagoes are reported for the first time, based on material collected from southeastern China. Morphologically, the nymph is unique because of its large body size, expanded genae, pale median stripe on the anterior of the head, and dark tarsi. The male imago can be differentiated from congeners by its large body size, pigmented forewings, and the mesothoracic scutellum having a pair of membranous lamellae. More importantly, its penes are distinct, being fused for most of their length and having complex ventral projections. Adults emerge in early spring (March to April).
