MATERIAL UND METHODEN  Eine retrospektive Kohortenstudie aller DAB-Fälle, die in den Jahren 2007–2018 durch frühe pränatale transvaginale Scans in der 12.-17. Schwangerschaftswoche diagnostiziert wurden. Die damit verbundenen Anomalien, genetischen Anomalien und das postnatale Langzeit-Outcome wurden bewertet. ERGEBNISSE  Durch frühe pränatale transvaginale Scans in der median 15. Schwangerschaftswoche (Bereich 12–17) wurden 12 Fälle von DAB bei insgesamt 28 654 Untersuchungen diagnostiziert, mit einer Prävalenz von mindestens 12378. In 5/12 Fällen (42 per cent) wurden assoziierte Anomalien/genetische Anomalien festgestellt. Die Diagnose wurde bei allen Neugeborenen postnatal bestätigt. In 2 Fällen wurde ein Schwangerschaftsabbruch durchgeführt. 4 Patienten (40 per cent) waren symptomatisch. 6 Patienten (60 %) wurden aufgrund von Symptomen oder einer schweren Obstruktion in der Bildgebung operiert, wobei die Symptome bei allen Patienten außer 1 behoben wurden. SCHLUSSFOLGERUNG  DAB kann bereits im ersten Trimester ohne Weiteres transvaginal diagnostiziert werden. Die Prävalenz beträgt 12387. Eine Abklärung bezüglich assoziierter und genetischer Anomalien sollte erfolgen.
