9%. During follow-up, 3 cases were classified according to surgical margin status because they lacked an intact tumor capsule. There was only 1 case of local recurrence, and there were no cases of metastasis. A high ROADS score was correlated with greater operative complexity, such as longer operation and ischemia times and higher estimated blood loss and complication rates. However, renal function and short-term oncologic outcomes were not related to the score. CONCLUSIONS The ROADS scoring system provides a standardized, quantitative, 3-dimensional anatomic classification to guide surgical strategy in renal sinus tumors. © 2020 American Cancer Society.BACKGROUND Imatinib is the standard treatment for patients with gastrointestinal stromal tumors (GISTs), but there is significant variation in imatinib plasma trough concentrations (Cmin ) among patients. The imatinib Cmin distribution at different doses and the correlation of adverse reactions with Cmin in Chinese patients with GIST from a high-volume center were evaluated. METHODS From July 1, 2017 to December 31, 2018, patients who were receiving imatinib treatment for GIST were prospectively enrolled. Steady-state blood samples were obtained from patients who had received same-dose imatinib treatment for ≥1 month with good compliance. Adverse reactions were recorded during regular follow-up, and blood samples were collected 24 ± 2 hours after dosing. Liquid chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry was used to measure drug concentrations. RESULTS In total, 307 patients who received 367 dose levels were investigated. The imatinib Cmin was 1315 ± 716 ng/mL, 2117 ± 597 ng/mL, and 3844 ± 987 ng/mL in patients who were receiving imatinib 400 mg, 600 mg, and 800 mg daily, respectively. The Cmin was significantly correlated with periorbital and limb edema (P less then .001), anemia (P less then .001), and rash (P = .037). Nausea and vomiting, diarrhea, and conjunctival hemorrhage also were correlated, but not significantly. A much higher Cmin was observed with severe adverse reactions. There was no correlation between the imatinib Cmin and leukopenia, muscle cramps, or hepatobiliary dysfunction. CONCLUSIONS In Chinese patients with GIST, the imatinib Cmin was higher than that reported for Western populations, especially at higher doses. The Cmin was correlated with periorbital and limb edema, anemia, and rash, suggesting that monitoring the imatinib Cmin should be considered when patients develop severe adverse reactions caused by excessive imatinib plasma concentrations. © 2020 American Cancer Society.BACKGROUND The effectiveness of local surgery for bone metastases (BM) arising from renal cell carcinoma (RCC) remains uncertain. Herein, the authors performed what to the best of their knowledge is the first investigation of the outcomes of Chinese patients with RCC and BM. Cathepsin G Inhibitor I nmr METHODS Data were collected for 168 patients with RCC and BM who were treated at Changzheng Hospital in Shanghai, China, between March 2009 and December 2018. All patients underwent local surgery for BM arising from RCC. Overall survival (OS) was defined as the interval between the date of local surgery and death or last follow-up and was estimated using the Kaplan-Meier method. Univariate and multivariable Cox proportional hazards analyses were used to identify significant prognostic factors. RESULTS The median OS in the study cohort was 43 months (range, 0-113 months). The 1-year, 3-year, and 5-year survival rates after surgery were 77.4%, 55.9%, and 31.8%, respectively. Univariate analyses demonstrated significant survival differences Society.OBJECTIVE The aim of this systematic review and meta-analysis (SR-MA) was to identify signaling molecule profiles and blood-derived biomarkers in migraine and cluster headache (CH) patients. BACKGROUND Currently no migraine and CH valid biomarkers are available. Blood tests based on biomarker profiles have been used to gather information about the nervous system. Such tests have not yet been established within the primary headache field. METHODS Case-control and case-crossover studies investigating whole blood, plasma, and serum were identified worldwide. The qualitative synthesis focused on 9 signaling molecules (serotonin [5-HT], calcitonin gene-related peptide [CGRP], endothelin-1 [ET-1], neurokinin A, neurokinin B, neuropeptide Y, pituitary adenylate cyclase-activating peptide 38 [PACAP-38], substance P (SP), and vasoactive intestinal peptide) and the quantitative synthesis on 5-HT and CGRP (≥5 comparisons available). The meta-analysis was conducted using standard and 3-level random effect models. RESULTSistribution. Other potential confounders were age, aura, study quality, menstrual cycle, and methodology (eg, storage temperature). CONCLUSIONS Potential migraine and CH signaling molecule profiles and biomarkers were revealed. Nevertheless, the high degree of heterogeneity between studies impedes identification of valid biomarkers but allowed us to assess the presence of confounders. Consideration of the potential confounders identified in this SR-MA might be of importance in the experimental planning of future studies. This consideration could be incorporated through establishment of specific guidelines. © 2020 American Headache Society. There is limited knowledge about the impact of task load on experts' integration of contextual priors and visual information during dynamic and rapidly evolving anticipation tasks. We examined how experts integrate contextual priors--specifically, prior information regarding an opponent's action tendencies--with visual information such as movement kinematics, during a soccer-specific anticipation task. Furthermore, we combined psychophysiological measures and retrospective self-reports to gain insight into the cognitive load associated with this integration. Players were required to predict the action of an oncoming opponent, with and without the explicit provision of contextual priors, under two different task loads. In addition to anticipation performance, we compared continuous electroencephalography (EEG) and self-reports of cognitive load across conditions. Our data provide tentative evidence that increased task load may impair performance by disrupting the integration of contextual priors and visual information.
