acute gastritis demonstrated a high effective rate with few adverse reactions than. It was effective at alleviating the clinical symptoms associated with acute gastritis. The results of this study provide support for the clinical implementation of combined atropine and omeprazole in the treatment of patients with acute gastritis.
Due to constantly emerging new studies on Xuesaitong injection (XST) agent, it is necessary to summarize and analyze the latest published clinical research data to re-evaluate the clinical efficacy and safety of XST. This study mainly aimed to evaluate the clinical efficacy and safety of XST combined with western medicines (WM) for ischemic stroke treatment.
The related databases were searched to collect all randomized controlled trials (RCTs) comparing the combination of XST and WM with WM alone for the treatment of patients with ischemic stroke. Participant, intervention, comparison, outcome and study type (PICOS) was the inclusion criteria of all studies. The search for and data extraction of the included studies was performed by 2 researchers, who then conducted quality evaluation. The Cochrane Collaboration's risk of bias tool was used for the article evaluation. The software RevMan 5.3 and Stata 15.0 were used for pooled analysis.
A total of 12 RCTs were included involving 1,769 patients with ischle WM medication, XST combined with WM improves the total clinical effective rate, promotes the recovery of patients' neurological function, and has few adverse reactions and high safety in clinical application.

Owing to its simplicity, speed, small incision, and low cost, peripheral blood collection is widely used in routine blood testing. However, there are certain differences between the detection results of peripheral and venous blood specimens. This investigation and analysis aimed to investigate and analyze the status and opinions of laboratory physicians on the application of peripheral blood for routine blood testing.
A questionnaire was used to investigate and analyze the current status of laboratory physicians with regards to routine peripheral blood testing. The content of the questionnaire included the following aspects the proportion of peripheral blood specimens, the difficulty of detecting peripheral blood, factors affecting the results of peripheral blood specimens, the proportion of the simultaneous detection of blood test and C-reactive protein (CRP), as well as the proportion and ideals of hypersensitive CRP (hs-CRP), which included a total of 10 re-examination rules.
Laboratory physicians frtion (73.6%). More laboratory physicians expected blood analyzers to be integrated instruments that could provide both routine blood and hs-CRP testing (80.5%).
There are numerous difficulties in routine blood testing using peripheral blood, and thus, more convenient and accurate blood analysis instruments should be developed.

Alzheimer's disease (AD) is a progressive dementia, and β-amyloid (Aβ) accumulation is widely regarded as the primary pathogenesis of AD. selleck compound A new synthetic compound, 8-hydroxyquinoline-resveratrol derivative (E)-5-(4-hydroxystyryl)quinolin-8-ol (10c) was evaluated as a possible anti-AD agent.
(I) The total amount of ROS in SH-SY5Y cells was detected by dichlorofluorescein diacetate (DCFH-DA), and the antioxidant activity and neuroprotective effect of 10c in SH-SY5Y cells were evaluated; (II) Griess reagent was used to test the activity of Compound 10c against NO production in LPS-induced BV-2 microglial cells; (III) An automatic digital stereotaxic instrument was used to inject Aβ25-35 into the brain to establish an AD animal model to evaluate the protective effect of compound 10c on Aβ25-35-induced learning and memory dysfunction in rats.
10c exhibited far more potent antioxidant activity for both exogenous and endogenous reactive oxygen species (ROS) than trolox, resveratrol, and CQ (ROS production 10c of AD.
Methadone maintenance treatment (MMT) is widely used for heroin use disorder. Although its curative effect is remarkable, there are problems associated with its use. While previous studies have found that methadone use may have certain effects on cerebral white matter, its effect on gray matter (GM) and its related neural networks is unclear. This study aimed to observe the effects of long-term methadone use on cerebral GM and the changes in related neural networks.
Patients receiving MMT treatment for heroin use disorder (N=50) were recruited. Longitudinal self-control was adopted, and the voxel-based morphometry (VBM) was used to compare the difference in cerebral GM volume before and after 1 year of methadone use, then we select the brain region where the GM volume changed as the region of interest (ROI), and use the DPARSF software for the whole brain function connection, and the differences in brain function connections before and after 1year MMT treatment were compared.
Our results demonstrated that, after 1 year of MMT, patients showed smaller GM volume in the bilateral insula, occipital lingual gyrus, right cingulate gyrus, middle temporal gyrus, left inferior parietal lobule, caudate nucleus, temporal, and occipital regions, and the resting neural network of the brain also changed.
We speculate that long-term methadone use can lead to damage to GM structure and adaptive changes in the neural network of patients with heroin use disorder, mainly involving emotional perception, spatial localization, working memory, and other related functions.

The training of orthopedic nurse specialists is gradually increasing in China, but the effect of the training, namely the specialized nursing work carried out by them upon returning to work after training, is unknown. This study aimed to further our understanding of the effect of training orthopedic nurse specialists and provide a basis for improving the training program.
A total of 201 clinical nurse specialists who graduated from the training base of orthopedic nurse specialists in the Jiangsu Province were interviewed via a self-made questionnaire.
All orthopedic nurse specialists completed a series of specialized nursing work after returning to their posts. In particular, the clinical nurse specialists with senior professional titles participated in more specialized nursing work projects, such as continuous improvement of orthopedic nursing quality, and so on. The influence of having attained different educational levels on the specialized nursing work of orthopedic nurse specialists was not significant.
The orthopedic nurse specialists carried out a series of specialized nursing work after returning to their posts, which not only helps to improve the quality of orthopedic nursing, but also assists in promoting the popularization and homogenization of new knowledge and skills in orthopedic nursing in the Jiangsu Province.

This study investigated the epidemiological characteristics, predisposing factors, clinical features, microbiological findings, and treatment outcomes of patients with fungal keratitis in southeastern China.
A retrospective review was carried out on 718 patients diagnosed with fungal keratitis at the the First Affiliated Hospital of Fujian Medical University between January 2004 and December 2017. The sociodemographic data, predisposing factors, clinical details, microbiological findings, and treatment strategies were analyzed.
Fungal keratitis was diagnosed in 718 patients (442 male and 276 female; mean age, 41.4±13.1 years). Most patients came from rural areas (79.7%) and farm work was the main occupational activity (51.7%). Cases were more common during the harvest season between October and December (41.6%). Corneal trauma (73.7%), particularly injury with vegetative matter (51.5%), was the predominant predisposing factor. Corneal scrapings obtained from 621 patients were diagnosed as positive on dis.
To explore the benefits of different types of irradiation on patients with postoperative locoregional recurrence (LRR) of thoracic esophageal squamous cell carcinoma (ESCC).
We analyzed the medical records of 344 patients with recurrent esophageal cancer (EC) at the Fourth Hospital of Hebei Medical University. All patients met an inclusion criteria that included having postoperative LRR (without distant metastasis), and having received either chemotherapy, radiotherapy, or chemoradiotherapy after LRR. Patients either received elective nodal irradiation (ENI) or involved field irradiation (IFI), with a stratified analysis performed on both groups. SPSS 19.0 software (IBM Corporation, Armonk, NY USA) was then used for statistical analysis.
The median overall survival time of all patients after surgery was 33 months [95% confidence interval (CI) 28.3-37.7 months]; the median overall survival time of patients after recurrence after radiotherapy was 12.8 months (95% CI 11.3-14.3 months). There were 276 caseshagography, earlier postoperative pathological N staging, lower LODDS scores, and fewer surgically dissected lymph nodes might benefit more from ENI treatment than from IFI. However, patients with a larger number of lymph nodes dissected during surgery might benefit more from IFI treatment. To further confirm this study's conclusions, multiple prospective studies should be undertaken in the future.
Chemotherapy, radiotherapy, and chemoradiotherapy are all effective modes of treatment for patients with postoperative LRR of EC. Patients with shorter esophageal lesions determined by preoperative esophagography, earlier postoperative pathological N staging, lower LODDS scores, and fewer surgically dissected lymph nodes might benefit more from ENI treatment than from IFI. However, patients with a larger number of lymph nodes dissected during surgery might benefit more from IFI treatment. To further confirm this study's conclusions, multiple prospective studies should be undertaken in the future.
Several genome-wide association studies have found that HLA class II histocompatibility antigen, DQ beta1 (HLA-DQB1) and HLA class II histocompatibility antigen, DR beta1 (HLA-DRB1) were associated with immunoglobulin A nephropathy (IgAN). However, few studies have explored the association between HLA-DQB1 and HLA-DRB1 expression and IgAN. This is the first study to investigate the relationship between HLA-DQB1 and HLA-DRB1 expression and clinical pathological characteristics.
A total of 113 patients with biopsy-proven IgAN and 71 healthy control patients participated in this study. HLA-DQB1 and HLA-DRB1 expression in peripheral blood lymphocytes was measured by quantitative reverse-transcription polymerase chain reaction (qRT-PCR) and flow cytometry. Serum galactose-deficient IgA1 (Gd-IgA1) level was measured by an enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay kit. The clinical and histopathological data of patients with IgAN were collected at the time of renal biopsy. Pearson's or Spearman's correlation coefficients were used to analyze the correlation between the expression of HLA-DQB1 and HLA-DRB1 mRNA and protein and the clinical pathological features of IgAN.
