To compare the efficacy and safety of minimally endoscopic discectomy (MED), percutaneous endoscopic transforaminal discectomy (PETD) and percutaneous endoscopic interlaminar discectomy (PEID) in the treatment of L5/S1 lumbar disc herniation (LDH).

From May 2012 to January 2017, 317 patients with L5/S1 LDH treated with MED, PETD or PEID were reviewed. Pre- and postoperative pain was measured using a visual analog scale (VAS; 0 ?10), and functional status was assessed using the Oswestry Disability Index (ODI; 0 ? 100%). The review was registered at PROSPERO (CRD42020169255). Two independent reviewers conducted an electronic search in PubMed, Scopus, EMBASE, Web of Science, Cochrane Library and LILACS until November 2020 and included only randomized clinical trials with adult health participants undergoing root canal treatment. After selection, the JBI Critical Appraisal tool was used to assess the risk of bias. A fixed-effect meta-analysis was performed to summarize the results of pain risk and pain intensity at time intervals of 24 and 48 hours. Finally, the certainty of evidence was assessed using the GRADE approach. The search resulted in 1,206 records, of which five studies (n = 421 patients) met the eligibility criteria and presented moderate to low risk of bias. There was no significant difference between groups in the risk of pain in the first 24 hours (relative risk or RR = 0.83, 95% confidence interval or CI 0.60, 1.16, I 2 =) or 48 hours (RR = 0.56, 95% CI 0.26, 1.21, I 2 =).  Hashimoto's thyroiditis is a common disease that also affects pregnant women. We analyzed to what extent the inflammatory process of Hashimoto's thyroiditis changes with iodine prophylaxis in pregnant women. The target for immunologic activity was levels of thyroid antibodies (TPO).

 The data were collected retrospectively from 20consecutive, pregnant patients who had been diagnosed with Hashimoto's thyroiditis between 01.12.2012 and 01.12.2014 and had received iodine supplementation with 100 µg (n = 1) or 150 µg (n = 19). At least two measurements of TPO antibody levels taken during pregnancy and one after pregnancy were evaluated for each patient in the study group.

 Radiosynoviorthesis (RSO) is a local radionuclide therapy of inflammatory joint diseases, successfully performed since several decades mainly as an outpatient-protocol in ambulatory health care centers or nuclear medicine practices. Despite of long-term experience in some centers, only very few valuable or comparable data about the procedure itself and/or the clinical results of this treatment are available.

 The aim of this online survey is to assess reliable data of the current status in Germany.

 A web-based questionnaire was designed to evaluate the status of RSO in Germany including demographic data, training, pretherapeutic diagnostics, clinical procedures, and follow-up. The survey was distributed via the supplier of RSO-nuclides, national nuclear medicine societies, and personal networks. It was available for 28 days and closed on November 30, 2020.

 A total of 78 specialists in nuclear medicine answered the questionnaire, which corresponds to a response rate of 23 %. Several differences and concordances in pre-therapeutic diagnostics, in the procedure of RSO itself, and follow-up were documented in this survey for the first time.
