9 kcal mol-1 led to a combined singlet rate constant, k1b+1c = 1.20 × 10-11 cm3 per molecule per s, in good agreement with experiment. However, our predicted variations in α1b and α1c with temperature are not nearly as large as those measured, perhaps due to the inadequacy of SF theory in treating the transition structures controlling acetic acid + O3 formation vs. acetoxy + OH + O2 formation. The toxicity effects of paclitaxel (PTX)-loaded magnetic neutrophil-hybrid swimming microrobots ("neutrobots") in vivo were assessed after intravenous administration to mice. The mice after 72 hours exhibited minimal immunotoxicity and liver and kidney toxicity at an administration dose of 3 × 106 PTX-loaded neutrobots. The minor toxicity of drug-loaded neutrobots holds considerable promise for biomedical applications. The COVID-19 has heightened the focus of medical services. Scientifically evaluating the efficiency of medical services and defining their spatial transmission relationship is crucial for the rational allocation of health resources and the accomplishment of balanced regional medical service growth. We used a Stochastic Frontier Model to calculate medical service performance in Chinese provinces and the Gravity Model to study the spatial relationship of medical service performance across provinces using data from 2009 to 2018. We discover that (1) population density and proportion of technical personnel are significantly positively correlated with the efficiency of regional medical services, whereas health institution density has a significantly negative influence. Their respective influence coefficients were 1.717, 0.647, and 0.407. (2) In China, the regional development of medical service efficiency is unbalanced. The east, middle, and west multi-year average medical service efficiency were 0.65, 0.46, and 0.53, respectively, and their gaps were narrowing; the south and north average efficiency were 0.591, 0.516, respectively, and their gaps were widening. (3) Our medical efficiency network is not yet widespread in the country. Hubei, Henan, Shandong, Jiangsu, Zhejiang, and Beijing were at the centre of the medical efficiency network, driving and connecting the nation's medical service. Our findings offer specific recommendations for better understanding and improving the efficiency of medical services.Poly(lactic acid), also abbreviated as PLA, is a promising biopolymer for food packaging owing to its environmental-friendly characteristic and desirable physical properties. Electrospinning technology makes the production of PLA-based nanomaterials available with expected structures and enhanced barrier, mechanical, and thermal properties; especially, the facile process produces a high encapsulation efficiency and controlled release of bioactive agents for the purpose of extending the shelf life and promoting the quality of foodstuffs. In this study, different types of electrospinning techniques used for the preparation of PLA-based nanofibers are summarized, and the enhanced properties of which are also described. Moreover, its application in active and intelligent packaging materials by introducing different components into nanofibers is highlighted. In all, the review establishes the promising prospects of PLA-based nanocomposites for food packaging application. The present study undertakes a theoretical evaluation of thermal decomposition of aromatic-ring radicals. Potential energy surfaces and associated reaction rate coefficients were calculated for 1- and 2-naphthalenyl, acetanaphthylenyl, and pyrenyl radicals. Kinetic Monte-Carlo simulations were performed to examine the rates of ring cleavage in two sooting laminar premixed flames of ethylene. The simulations showed that the thermal aromatic-ring cleavage is comparable in rate to oxyradical decomposition in a heavier-sooting flame. The simulation also revealed, unexpectedly, fast internal ring radical migration, comparable in frequency to reaction events of aromatic growth. The dynamic spreading process of mixed droplets on chemically heterogeneous surfaces has attracted significant attention owing to its extensive industrial applications. The spreading of mixture droplets on a chemically heterogeneous surface is more complex than that for pure fluid droplets and needs to be understood further. In this study, molecular dynamic simulations were performed to investigate the dynamic spreading process of R32/R1234yf mixture droplets and water/ethanol mixture droplets of radius 4.7-6.5 nm with different compositions, on chemically heterogeneous surfaces. The variation in the relative spreading radius with time was analyzed and compared with the molecular kinetic theory. It was observed that for the R32/R1234yf mixture, the actual component mole fraction did not deviate from the nominal one in the triple contact region, and the dynamic spreading behavior was identical to that for the pure fluids. Meanwhile, the converse was true for the ethanol/water mixture. The molecular kinetic theory could accurately predict the spreading of droplets for R32/R1234yf mixtures when the mixture properties were used. However, this was not feasible for ethanol/water mixtures. It was observed that the local physical properties in the triple contact line (including the mole fraction and the lyophilic and lyophobic area ratio) play key roles in the spreading of the ethanol/water mixture droplets. The prediction of the dynamic spreading of water/ethanol mixture droplets on chemically heterogeneous surfaces can be improved significantly by using local properties to modify the molecular kinetic theory.
In the present study, we analyzed radiation injuries to Chinese workers exposed to low-dose radiation. We discuss the relationships between dose and injury.

This study randomly selected 976 radiation workers who underwent occupational health monitoring. The radiation workers were divided into 5 different types of work radiation diagnosis, radiation therapy, interventional therapy, nuclear medicine, and industrial inspection. Pituitary Adenylate Cyclase Activating Polypeptide 38 This research was approved by the Bioethics Committee at the Gansu Provincial Center for Disease Control and Prevention.

The average annual cumulative dose to interventional radiation workers was the highest, i.e., 0.86 mSv. The detection rate of lens opacity was 37%, but 99.70% of lens opacities occurred in the peripheral cortex. Posterior subcapsular opacification was detected less than 1.00% of the time. The rate of chromosomal aberrations was highest for radiological workers with more than 20 years of service. Annual cumulative dose reached 2.04 mSv, and the monitoring dose for al health monitoring of radiological workers. Monitoring of internal radiation exposure cannot be ignored for nuclear medicine staff.A kinase anchoring protein (AKAP) 12 is a scaffolding protein that improves the specificity and efficiency of spatiotemporal signal through assembling intracellular signal proteins into a specific complex. AKAP12 is a negative mitogenic regulator that plays an important role in controlling cytoskeletal architecture, maintaining endothelial integrity, regulating glial function and forming blood-brain barrier (BBB) and blood retinal barrier (BRB). Moreover, elevated or reduced AKAP12 contributes to a variety of diseases. Complex connections between AKAP12 and various diseases including chronic liver diseases (CLDs), inflammatory diseases and a series of cancers will be tried to delineate in this paper. We first describe the expression, distribution and physiological function of AKAP12. Then we summarize the current knowledge of different connections between AKAP12 expression and various diseases. Some research groups have found paradoxical roles of AKAP12 in different diseases and further confirmation is needed. This paper aims to assess the role of AKAP12 in physiology and diseases to help lay the foundation for the design of small molecules for specific AKAP12 to correct the pathological signal defects.Multiple sclerosis is associated with lesions not just in the white matter, but also involving the cortex. Cortical involvement has been linked to greater disease severity and hence understanding the factor underlying cortical pathology could help identify new therapeutic strategies for multiple sclerosis. The critical role of B cells in multiple sclerosis has been clarified by multiple pivotal trials of B-cell depletion in people with multiple sclerosis. The presence of B-cell rich areas of meningeal inflammation in multiple sclerosis has been identified at all stages of multiple sclerosis. Leptomeningeal inflammation is associated with greater extent of cortical demyelination and neuronal loss and with greater disease severity. Recent studies have identified several potential mechanisms by which B cells may mediate cortical injury including antibody production, extracellular vesicles containing neurotoxic substances and production of pro-inflammatory cytokines. Additionally, B cells may indirectly mediate cortical damage through effects on T cells, macrophages or microglia. Several animal models replicate the meningeal inflammation and cortical injury noted in people with multiple sclerosis. Studies in these models have identified Bruton's tyrosine kinase inhibition and type II anti-CD20 antibodies as potential agents that can impact meningeal inflammation. Trials of anti-CD20 monoclonal antibodies in people with multiple sclerosis have unsuccessfully attempted to eliminate B cells in the leptomeninges. New strategies to target B cells in multiple sclerosis include Bruton's tyrosine kinase inhibition and cell-based therapies aimed at B cells infected with Epstein-Barr virus. Future studies will clarify the mechanisms by which B cells mediate cortical injury and treatment strategies that can target B cells in the leptomeninges and CNS parenchyma.Over the recent years, intelligent, multi-responsive micelles have received considerable attention due to their promising application in a variety of fields, including biomedical technology, drug delivery, separation, and catalysis. However, the design of such systems with controlled self-assembly is challenging both experimentally and theoretically and is still in the nascent stage. In this study, a novel dual-stimuli triggered wormlike micellar solution is prepared by mixing cationic surfactants 3-hexadecyloxy-2-hydroxypropyltrimethylammonium bromide (R16HTAB) and sodium hydrogen phthalate (SHP). The viscoelasticity, aggregate morphology, and pH- and thermo-responsive behavior of the micellar solution are examined by rheological measurements, cryogenic-transmission electron microscopy (cryo-TEM), nuclear magnetic resonance (1H NMR) spectroscopy, and Fourier transform infrared (FTIR) spectroscopy. The dual-sensitive fluid can be switched between a water-like state and a gel-like state by adjusting the pH and temperature. The variations in the flowing behavior are ascribed to the microstructural transition between wormlike micelles, short cylindrical micelles, and spherical micelles. Furthermore, based on the experimental results, dual-responsive behavior of the mixed solution is attributed to the different binding modes between SHP and the surfactant with the variation in the pH and temperature. We hope that the proposed system provides a new route for developing multi-stimuli-responsive materials that are capable of adapting to local environmental variations.
