T2 values in articular cartilage of the femoral condyle increased earlier after meniscectomy with abnormal alignment in the lower extremity.Meniscectomy in cases with abnormal alignment may have a risk of early onset of osteoarthritis.Level of evidence Level IV.To investigate the incidence of skin diseases, the factors affecting the life quality, anxiety, and depression of patients with skin diseases and the correlation among the 3.A total of 1127 patients with skin diseases were selected online from March 2018 to June 2018. Logistic regression was used to analyze the factors influencing life quality, anxiety, and depression. Spearman rank correlation was used to analyze the correction among the life quality, anxiety, and depression. There was no significant difference in ethnicity, education, and time of question among patients (P > .05). Sex ratio, age, marital status, and occupation were statistically significant difference among patients with different skin diseases (P less then .05). The life quality index of patients with psoriasis, atopic dermatitis, acne, steroid-dependent dermatitis, and alopecia were 11.96 ± 6.74, 9.84 ± 6.99, 11.57 ± 6.85, 13.86 ± 6.31, 7.86 ± 6.82, respectively. The differences were statistically significant (P less then .05). The main factors affecting quality of life included age, family history, and types of skin diseases. The age, ethnicity, education, and family history of skin diseases were the main factors affecting anxiety of patients with different skin diseases. Additionally, sex, marital status, education, and family history of skin diseases were the main factors influencing depression. Spearman rank correlation analysis showed that the life quality, anxiety, and depression were positively correlated.Psoriasis, atopic dermatitis, acne, steroid-dependent dermatitis, and alopecia have a certain impact on the life quality of most patients, and may cause different degrees of anxiety and depression.
Prostatitis is a common urogenital system disease in men which affects 5% to 9% of adult men worldwide and accounts for approximately 8% of visits to urologists. In the past years, its pathogenesis is complicated and the classification of it is not clear, so the effect of treatment measures is not significant. Recently, the treatment of chronic prostatitis/chronic pelvic pain syndrome (CP/CPPS) includes nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, phytotherapy, hormonal therapy, alpha-blockers, anti-anxiolytic, and acupuncture, which provide more choice for the urologist. But there still are some limitations. scholars. Many studies suggest radial extracorporeal shock wave therapy may be the better option in the treatment of CP/CPPS. However, the efficacy and safety of it still lack solid evidence.
The electronic databases of MEDLINE, PubMed, Web of Science, EMBASE, Cochrane Library, Clinicaltrials.org, China National Knowledge Infrastructure Database, Wan fang Database, China Biology Medicine Database, VIP Scien, this study will inspect the efficacy and safety of the rESWT treatment in patients with CP/CPPS by integrating various studies.
Formal ethical approval is not required in this protocol. We will collect and analyze data based on published studies, and since there are no patients involved in this study, individual privacy will not be under concerns. The results of this review will be disseminated to peer-reviewed journals or submit to related conferences.

INPLASY202090076.This cross-sectional study aimed to assess the impact of epilepsy, myasthenia gravis (MG), and multiple sclerosis (MS) on pregnancy and family planning decision-making in a cohort of Saudi women. Women with epilepsy, MG, and MS were recruited consecutively at the time of their follow-up visits at a neurology clinic. Data were collected using 3 standardized questionnaires, and presented using descriptive statistics. A logistic regression was performed to determine variables associated with decisions regarding abstaining from pregnancy and encouraging other women to conceive. A total of 272 (83 epilepsy, 69 MG, and 120 MS) women with a mean age of 29.9 ± 8.0 years participated. The proportion of women who abstained from or postponed pregnancy was 41.2% and 31.4%, respectively. The concerns mentioned most often were disease worsening during pregnancy, peripartum and postpartum, side effects of medications on the unborn child, and inability to care for the child. Older age was independently associated with the decision to abstain from pregnancy (odds ratio [OR] 1.14, 95% confidence interval [CI] 1.04 - 1.25). Higher knowledge levels were independently associated with encouraging other women to have children (OR 1.3, 95% CI 1.11-1.53). Over 50% of women reported that they were not counseled on issues related to pregnancy and childbirth. In conclusion, we identified a major influence of epilepsy, MG, and MS on pregnancy and family planning. Comprehensive counseling programs are needed to help women with these neurological diseases make informed family-planning decisions.Heterogeneous associations exist between alcohol consumption and the initial presentation of cardiovascular diseases (CVDs). Studies regarding the association between abdominal aortic aneurysms (AAAs) and alcohol consumption are still limited and controversial. We hypothesize that patients with alcohol-related diseases are susceptible to AAA formation due to the presence of overlapping epidemiological factors and molecular mechanisms. We aimed to use a nationwide population-based retrospective cohort study to evaluate the association between alcohol-related diseases and AAA.The data were extracted from the National Health Insurance Research Database (NHIRD) in Taiwan. The study outcome assessed was the cumulative incidence of AAA in patients with alcohol-related diseases during a 14-year follow-up period. Our study included 22,878 patients who had alcohol-related diseases; these patients with alcohol-related diseases had a significantly higher cumulative risk of developing AAA 5 years after the index date than did the 91,512 patients without alcohol-related diseases. Patients with alcohol-related diseases also exhibited a significantly increased incidence of AAA compared with the incidence among patients without alcohol-related diseases, according to Cox regression analysis and Fine & Gray's competing risk model (adjusted hazard ratio = 2.379, 95% confidence interval = 1.653 -3.424, P less then .001). In addition, male gender, older age, and chronic kidney disease were also associated with an increased risk of developing AAA. An interaction model showed that males with alcohol-related diseases had a 10.4-fold higher risk of AAA than did females without alcohol-related diseases. We observed an association between alcohol-related diseases and AAA even after adjusting for several comorbidities and medications in a nationwide population database. To figure out which diagnosis is more suitable and which antiepileptic drugs are more sensitive to epileptic negative myoclonus (ENM) as the first seizure type in atypical benign epilepsy with centrotemporal spikes. We reviewed the electroencephalogram (EEG) database of Linyi People's Hospital Affiliated to Shandong University and medical records of patients with ENM onset. The characteristics of epileptic seizures, onset age, treatment process, growth and development history, past disease history, family history, degree of mental deterioration, cranial imaging, and video-EEG were studied retrospectively and followed up.There were 4 cases with ENM onset and 1 with continuous ENM, 3 males and 1 female. The onset age was from 2 years 3 months to 8 years 7 months. The cranial magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) and developmental quotient, as well as the family, personal, and past disease history, were normal. Frequent falls and drops were the main clinical manifestations. Five months after the onset of ENM, case 1 had focal seizures in sleep. ENM was the first and only manifestation in all the other 3 children. Discharges of interictal EEG were in bilateral rolandic areas, especially in midline areas (Cz, Pz), electrical status epilepticus in sleep was found in 3 cases. One child was sensitive to levetiracetam, the other 3 were sensitive to clonazepam.ENM can affect the upper or lower extremities. ENM as the first or only symptom was a special phenomenon in benign epilepsy with centrotemporal spikes (BECTS) variants. Ignorance of midline spikes mainly in Cz or Pz in BECTS might lead to missed diagnosis of ENM. Whether benzodiazepines are viable as a choice of BECTS variants with electrical status epilepticus in sleep when ENM is the first symptom still needs a large sample evidence-based observation.
Knee osteoarthritis (KOA) is a common chronic degenerative disorder with an increasingly prevalence among the older individuals and the leading cause of pain in the elderly. Baduanjin, one of the ancient traditional Chinese mind-body exercise routine, has been recognized to have clinical benefits for KOA. We aim to evaluate the efficacy and safety of Baduanjin for patients with KOA through this systematic review and meta-analysis.
Four English databases (Cochrane Central Register of Controlled Trials, PubMed, EMBASE, and Web of Science), and 4 Chinese databases (China National Knowledge Infrastructure, Chinese Biomedical Literature Database, Chinese Scientific Journal Database, and Wanfang Database), will be searched from establishment of the database until October 2020. The reference lists and the citation lists of studies meeting the inclusion criteria will also be searched to identify further studies for inclusion. The search languages are English and Chinese. The randomized controlled trials of Baduanjin training for patients with KOA will be included. Guanosine 5'-monophosphate research buy The primary outcome will be assessed according to the Western Ontario and McMaster Universities Osteoarthritis Index. Meta-analysis will be conducted with the use of RevMan 5.3.
The results of this research will be submitted to a peer-reviewed publications.
This systematic review aims to present evidence for whether Baduanjin training is an effective intervention which can improve both physical condition and life quality in patients suffering KOA.

Internet-based rehabilitation can ease the progression of chronic diseases. There had been studies on internet-based rehabilitation of knee osteoarthritis (OA), but them were conducted at home and ignored the potential benefits in the community setting. This study will explore the feasibility and effectiveness of internet-based rehabilitation accompanies wearable devices in the community setting for the patients with knee OA.
An assessor-blinded randomized controlled feasibility trial will be performed to study the feasibility and effectiveness of internet-based rehabilitation program for the patients with knee OA in the community setting. Forty participants with knee OA will be recruited and randomly allocated into internet-based rehabilitation group (IRG) or control group (CG). The interventions of IRG will be performed in the community setting via web-based platform and wearable devices. The outcome measures will be conducted at baseline, and post-intervention 6 weeks, 12 weeks during the study. The feasibility will be tested by the proportion of participants who will complete the internet-based rehabilitation program within 12 weeks in IRG as well as the compliance and satisfaction.
