Antimicrobial stewardship (AMS) strategies worldwide focus on optimising the use of antibiotics. This study assessed the pubertal signs, the levels of adiponectin, resistin, and tumor necrosis factor-alpha (TNF-α) after 12 weeks of combined exercise and 4 weeks of detraining in overweight and obese girls with precocious puberty.

Mechanical hypersensitivity of PD model induced by MPTP peaked at 3 days and persisted for at least 14 days. Using Fos transgenic mice, we found that neurons in the anterior cingulate cortex (ACC) were activated after MPTP treatment. Inhibiting ACC by bilateral microinjection of muscimol significantly reduced mechanical hypersensitivity and anxiety-like responses. By contrast, MPTP induced motor deficit was not affected, indicating ACC activity is mostly responsible for sensory and emotional changes. We also investigated excitatory synaptic transmission and plasticity using brain slices of MPTP treated animals. While L-LTP was blocked or significantly reduced. The ministry of health (MOH) of Ethiopia recommends 4 or more focused antenatal care (ANC) visits at health centre (HC) or at a higher level of health facility (HF). In Ethiopia, few studies investigated time dimension of maternal health continuum of care but lack data regarding place dimension and its effect on continuum of care. The aim of this study is to estimate effect of place of ANC-1 visit and adherence to MOH's recommendations of MOH for ANC visits on continuum of care rural in Ethiopia.

We used data collected from 1431 eligible women included in the National Health Extension Program (HEP) assessment survey that covered 6324 households from 62 woredas in nine regions. The main outcome variable is continuum of care (CoC), which is the uptake of all recommended ANC visits, institutional delivery and postnatal care services. Following descriptive analysis, Propensity Score Matching was used to estimate the effect of place of ANC-1 visit on completion of CoC. We aimed to describe 24-h movement behaviour (24 h-MB) profiles in children and how profile membership changed from age 5.5 to 8 years.

Children in the Growing Up in Singapore Towards healthy Outcomes (GUSTO) cohort were asked to wear an accelerometer (ActiGraph-GT3X+) on their wrist for seven consecutive days at ages 5.5 and 8 years to measure 24 h-MB patterns. Time spent in night sleep, inactivity (proxy for SB), light PA, moderate PA (MPA), and vigorous PA (VPA) per day were calculated using the R-package GGIR 2.0. Using latent profile analyses (n = 442) we identified 24 h-MB profiles, which were given animal names to convey key characteristics. Latent transition analyses were used to describe the profile membership transition from ages 5.5 to 8 years. Associations with sex and ethnicity were examined.

We identified four profiles, "Rabbitshalf the children stayed in the same of four 24 h-MB profiles, while the predominant transition for the remaining children was towards lower PA, higher inactivity and longer sleep duration. These findings can aid development and implementation of public health strategies to promote better health.

We investigated the role of ANGPTL3 and ANGPTL4 in atherosclerosis development and determined whether plasma concentrations of ANGPTL3 and ANGPTL4 are related to the degree of coronary stenosis.

A total of 305 consecutive patients with angina who underwent diagnostic coronary angiography were enrolled in the study between August 2017 and August 2018. The levels of ANGPTL3 and ANGPTL4 were measured by using competitive ELISA kits.

According to the degree of coronary artery stenosis, patients were classified into four types coronary artery stenosis of < 10%, 10-50%, 50-75, and > 75%. The plasma ANGPTL3 level was higher (51.71 ± 52.67 vs. 24.65 ± 10.32 ng/mL, P < 0.001) and that of ANGPTL4 was lower (454.66 ± 269.05 vs. 875.49 ± 961.15 ng/mL, P < 0.001) in the coronary artery stenosis ≥ 10% group than in the < 10% group. ANGPTL3 and ANGPTL4 levels were significantly associated with the severity of coronary vascular stenosis. ROC curve analyses indicated that ANGPTL3 concentrations above 30.5 ng/mL can predict atherosclerosis with a sensitivity of 71.2% and specificity of 75.3%, and that ANGPTL4 levels below 497.5 ng/mL can predict atherosclerosis with a sensitivity of 63.9% and specificity of 74.5%. ANGPTL3 and ANGPTL4 were determined to be independent risk factors for coronary atherosclerosis with odds ratios (ORs) of 0.189 (95% CI 0.097-0.368, P < 0.001) and 3.625 (95% CI 1.873-7.016, P < 0.001), respectively.
