Solutions To Problems With Item Upgrader
World of Warcraft Item Upgrades

Upgrades to items can be used to improve the stats of an item. Depending on the type of upgrade you choose, it can increase an item's Rarity or Mark Level, and also boost other stats.

Each item has a track for upgrading it. Each upgrade increases the price of the next item by a certain amount.

Item Level

When an item gets upgraded, its stats increase in value. This is the sum of an item's leveled-up perks (attack magic attack and defense). Upgrades can be costly, dependent on who you employ and what you decide to do. This is because of how many perks must be replaced in order for the item to be upgraded.

Item level is a widely used measure of power, and can be found on all tooltips for items. It is also used to determine a gating condition when queueing for dungeons, raids and scenarios, and to limit the amount of PvP gear a player can wear (since PvP is capped at the lower levels). The average level of an item is listed on the character sheet.

The level of an item can help players compare the power of equipment when deciding to purchase or sell. It's an indicator of the damage and its quality. The item level can also be used to evaluate items when examining a vendor's inventory.

The level of the item can be seen by pressing the ALT key on PC or using the left stick (L3) on XB1 and PS4. This will display the full description of the item, including its ilvl. You can also find it by hovering over an item and typing in /itemlevel chat.

There are a variety of theories on how the item level is determined. One theory is that the item level is a number derived from a formula that calculates the value of an item's stats are worth. It takes into consideration that different benefits are valued differently and that gems found in sockets increase the value of the item. This can result in an item's ilvl calculated, which is typically very close to Blizzard's real level of the item.

However, this is not the only factor that can affect an item's ilvl as the level of the region the item is dropped into can alter the value of its stats, such as by adding an amount to its haste or crit rating. This means that items that drop at higher levels will have higher the ilvl than items from lower level instances.

Item Stats

The item's stats can be the difference between a good or bad item for players. The game uses them in many ways to encourage players not to limit themselves to one weapon and to encourage players to experiment with other weapons. The base stats on a weapon are increased by the weapon's stat modification which are then boosted by the player's level.

The upgrades to items add by increasing certain stats of the item. The rarity of an item determines its upgrade cost. A white or grey item for instance, will only be upgraded once and items with rare tiers may be upgraded multiple times at higher costs.

Affixes can also be used to alter the stats of an item. These are special stat boosts that can be added to an item by the player, and come in a variety of shapes and sizes. The affixes can be used to give items additional damage, special capabilities (such as revitalizing dead or reducing cooling downs), or to differentiate them by naming them.

All affixes can be being re-rolled right now by selecting them in the upgrade menu pressing the green button. This will cost a certain amount of gold and other items. They can also be used as upgrade gauges, similar to other methods of rerolling.

In addition to Rerolling affixes and rerolls, players can also choose which stats to be kept on an item after it is upgraded. The stat ranges are determined by the item's level. However, all items will include at least one stat within the same range, unless it's an item that is unique, or the item is a God Roll from a raid boss.

Another thing that could be changed is the possibility to upgrade equipment without having to reroll the affixes, or choose which stats to increase. However, as with the base equipment, this would need to be performed on a per-item level, and the interface for comparing items wouldn't show all possible stats gained or lost at once.

Item Luck

The Luck stat of a player boosts the chance of finding items and the properties that are generated by loot, and the strength of these properties. It does not, however, directly affect damage or the ability to upgrade items. It gives players an opportunity to get better equipment earlier in the game. This is particularly useful in early game runs because players tend to put defenses and weapon scaling over raw damage gains.

Luck can also increase the chances of upgrading items at the Blacksmith. This is not to be confused with the Blacksmith's overall chance of upgrading, which increase with each new level of item. These can also be enhanced by using anti-materials such as a Scroll of Strength and a Jewel of Blessing.

Armor, shields and weapons can spawn or be crafted using the Luck property, which has the default value of 40. These items can be improved with golden ingots or spined leather (depending on the material they are made of) to add another 40 luck, or to increase the luck of the item to 140.

Certain items, such as the weapon that is infused with hollow can also be crafted to increase the damage dealt by any ability that is able to deal damage by 5%. These items are available in the shops or made with the right ingredients.

Item Failure

Not all upgrades are successful. However, there are some cash shop items which allow players to increase their chance of success or stop them from losing an item in the event that the upgrade fails.

When you upgrade an item the rate of success is displayed in the Honing UI. The percentage represents the chance of completing the upgrade successfully, and can be increased by adding Additional Materials or Special Materials. There are limitations to how much success rates can be increased and the chance of a failed upgrade cannot exceed 100%.

The performance of an upgrade is also affected by the luck of that item. Each item has an average success rate of 25%, and each item with Luck increases the chance of success by five percent.

It is important to note that upgrade item s are rendered above the inventory items which means that enchantment glints and other effects may be obscured by the overlays. If you wish to disable the upgrade overlays, the config option decoration.renderUpgradeOverlays can be set to False in the Item Upgrader CORE client config.
