Overall, a prevalence rate of .44 [.30, .58] was obtained. When only moderate and severe cases were taken into account, the rate was .35 [.23, .49]. After a further restriction to only severe impairment, prevalence dropped to .22 [.12, .34]. Patients identified with apraxia of speech had suffered more severe strokes according to clinical criteria and had more severe aphasias. The presence of apraxia of speech was predicted by the articulation/prosody and syntax rating scales of the Aachen Aphasia Test. Lower prevalence estimates published earlier are probably biased by low sensitivity of assessment instruments for mild speech impairment.Highly superior autobiographical memory (HSAM) is characterised by the ability to recall personal events, dates, and news events from long-term memory with profound detail and accuracy. Anecdotes from these individuals suggest that retrieval of rich autobiographical detail is automatic, and often intrusive rather than effortful. We created two novel experiments to objectively verify whether retrieval of information reflects serial or parallel processing in a case of HSAM (R.S.), who has a self-reported superior memory for two sources of personally relevant information (a) the ability to name days of the week for any given calendar date since the year 2000; and (b) the ability to remember the entire text, practically word-for-word, of the seven Harry Potter books. RS and 10 age-matched controls, who were also aficionados of the Harry Potter series, were presented with pairs of calendar dates or sentences and asked, "Which date came earlier in the week?" or "Which sentence came earlier in the book?" Items within a pair varied in the proximity to one another in time. RS correctly identified earlier calendar dates and sentences with near perfect accuracy, and her reaction time was not impacted by the temporal distance between items. Controls were unable to identify earlier calendar dates and their accuracy and reaction time was dependent on the temporal distance of items. Structural magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) comparing RS with a normative dataset found no significant differences in any memory-related brain regions. Our findings suggest that HSAM memory retrieval for stored information largely reflects parallel processing, rather than a temporal-based system. We also discovered that RS has superior memory for semantic information, boosted by reportedly attaching autobiographical memories to these details. This unusual HSAM phenomenon may hold further clues to creating strong and lasting memories, which appear to be uniquely rich in detail.
How nursing students perceive themselves as potential nurses in the future is defined as their nursing professional identity. Many undergraduate nursing students present positive attitudes regarding the use of social media. However, the influence of social media usage by undergraduate nursing students on the development of their professional identity is yet to be determined.

To determine the relationship between social media usage by undergraduate nursing students and the development of their professional identity.

Descriptive, correlational, cross-sectional study.

Two universities in western Saudi Arabia.

Undergraduate nursing students who used social media.

An online questionnaire was designed, and its contents were validated. It was then distributed via a Qualtrics link to students' email addresses and via social media between 4th September 2019 and 28th October 2019. Descriptive analysis including frequencies, percentages, medians, and interquartile ranges were reported. Additionally, a numberheir professional identity. However, it is notable that the pedagogy of nursing education has been slow to adopt social media into nursing curricula. Nursing students require guidance in terms of how to use social media for their professional development.
It is crucial to diversify the methods for clinical nurses to continue learning nursing ethics in that ethical decision-making ability in nursing is regarded as one of the core competencies in nursing practice.

In response to nurses' learning needs for nursing ethics, this study built an online learning platform for the pertinent topic, and tested its effect on improving nurses' ethical decision-making ability and critical thinking ability.

A qualitative method was adopted to develop interventions, which were designed as a teaching practice research consisting of a study group and a control group.

A total of 93 nurses, including 20 interviewees and 30 in the study group and 43 in the control group.

Qualitative methods were employed to understand the learning needs of nurses. The judgment about nursing decisions and the critical thinking disposition inventory, learning effectiveness questionnaire and learning software quality evaluation scale were used as research tools in this teaching practice rese' abilities in nursing ethics, decision-making and critical thinking. It is expected to be a viable way to improve the continuity of nurses' study of ethics.
Osteoarthritis (OA) is a difficult disease but the clinic lacks effective therapy. As a classic formula of traditional Chinese medicine (TCM), Fuzi decoction (FZD) has been clinically applied for treating OA-related syndromes, but its anti-OA efficacy and mechanism remain unclear.

To experimentally and clinically determine the anti-OA efficacy of FZD and clarify the underlying mechanism.

UPLC/MS/MS was applied to identify the main components of FZD. A monoiodoacetate (MIA)-induced OA rat model was employed to evaluate the in vivo efficacy of FZD against OA, by using pain behavior assessment, histopathological observation, and immunohistochemical analysis. Primary rat chondrocytes were isolated to determine the in vitro effects of FZD by using cell viability assay, wound healing assay, and real-time PCR (qPCR) analysis on anabolic/catabolic mRNA expressions. RNA sequencing (RNA-seq) and network pharmacology analysis were conducted and the overlapping data were used to predict the mechanism of FZD, followverified by qPCR and Western blot experiments. Clinically, the anti-OA efficacy and safety of FZD were confirmed by the retrospective analysis on OA patients.

The scientific innovation of this study was the determination of anti-OA efficacy of FZD by experimental and clinical evidence and the discovery of its mechanism by integrated RNA-seq, network pharmacology, and molecular experiments, which suggests FZD as a promising TCM agency for OA treatment.

Colorectal cancer was the second leading cause of mortality in 2019 and the number of new colorectal cancer cases was the highest in 2018 and 2019 in Japan.

The present study investigated the inhibitory effects of 2(S)-2',5,6',7-tetrahydroxyflavanone and 2 (R), 3(R)-2',3,5,6'-7-pentahydroxyflavanone on the incidence and growth of tumors in azoxymethane (AOM) plus dextran sulfate sodium (DSS)-treated mice.

The intraperitoneal administration of AOM (10mg/kg) on day 0 induced colorectal carcinogenesis. Mice were given free and unlimited access to drinking water containing 1.5% (w/v) DSS on days 5 - 8, 30 - 33, and 56 - 57. They were orally administered tetra- and penta-hydroxyflavanones (10 and 30mg/kg) for 10, 11, and 14 days followed by discontinuation intervals of 20 and 15 days. Cytokine, chemokine, programmed cell death-1 (PD-1), cyclooxygenase (COX)-2, and thymocyte selection-associated high mobility group box protein (TOX)/TOX2 expression levels were measured using their respective ELISA kits and anory effects of tetra- and pentahydroxyflavanones on the growth of colon tumors in AOM/DSS-treated mice appear to be associated with decreases in the colon levels of IL-10 and PD-1 through the down-regulated expression of COX-2 and CD8+ T-cell exhaustion by TOX/TOX2 in the tumor microenvironment.Retinal ischemia-reperfusion injury (IRI) is one of the main pathogenic mechanisms of glaucoma, which are largely unknown, including neuroinflammation and neuronal death in the pathological process. In our previous studies, mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs) have been reported to play anti-inflammatory and neuroprotective roles. (Z)-4-Hydroxytamoxifen chemical structure Additionally, conditioned culture medium (CM) of MSCs stimulated by TNF-α have achieved better antiallergic effects in an experimental allergic conjunctivitis mouse model. However, there is an urgent need for cell-free therapy approaches, like exosomes, to reduce the side effects of autoimmunity. The present study aimed to elucidate the pathways involving TNF-α-stimulated gingival MSC (GMSC)-exosomes (TG-exos), in modulating inflammatory microglia and alleviating apoptosis. In this study, exosomes from the CM of GMSCs were isolated by ultracentrifugation and were injected into the vitreous of mice. The results showed that intraocular injection of TG-exos into mice with IRI notably reduced inflammation and cell loss than that with G-exos (GMSC-exosomes). Similar results were observed in vitro. Additionally, with the microRNA (miR) arrays, it was found that miR-21-5p acted as a crucial factor in TG-exos for neuroprotection and anti-inflammation. Following target prediction and dual-luciferase assay suggested that miR-21-5p played a role by combining with programmed cell death 4 (PDCD4), which was regulated by the long non-coding RNA (lncRNA) maternally expressed gene 3 (MEG3) as a competing endogenous RNA (ceRNA). This study demonstrates a new therapeutic pathway for neuroprotection against IRI by delivering miR-21-5p-enriched exosomes through MEG3/miR-21-5p/PDCD4 axis and paves the way for the establishment of a cell-free therapeutic approach for glaucoma.
Inclusive health policies and health promotion to ensure strong primary healthcare systems are main tenets of health reforms in developing countries, such as Turkey. Nevertheless, there has been a lack of interest regarding the assessment of equity in health services utilization under public health reform and promotion of primary care. This study aims to analyze equity by measuring deviations from proportionality in the relationship between the utilization of health services and income using indices and curve approaches.

A cross-sectional national Turkey Health Survey used the years 2008, 2010, 2012, and 2014. Gini and Kakwani indices and concentration curves were estimated, and the degree of regressivity was analyzed to understand the sources of equity in health services utilization.

Health services utilization for inpatient and outpatient services and family medicine and general practitioner services were regressive between the years 2008 and 2014. The most regressive pattern was observed in the year 2014 regarding medicine usage (Kakwani index= -0.1808904).

Differences in the utilization of health services have increased, hurting the poorest during the health reform in Turkey. Policies focused on health promotion to strengthen the primary health system and continuous monitoring of health services utilization by vulnerable groups are essential for ensuring a fairer health service usage in developing countries.
