Matrix-type operators with the off-diagonal decay of polynomial or sub-exponential types are revisited with weaker assumptions concerning row or column estimates, still giving the continuity results for the frame type operators. Metabolism inhibitor Such results are extended from Banach to Fréchet spaces. Moreover, the localization of Fréchet frames is used for the frame expansions of tempered distributions and a class of Beurling ultradistributions.
Sustained high levels of astronaut cognitive performance are a prerequisite for mission success. A neuropsychological battery of 10 brief cognitive tests (Cognition) covering a range of cognitive domains was specifically developed for high performing astronauts to objectively assess cognitive performance. Extended mission durations require repeated cognitive testing and thus high acceptability of the Cognition software to the astronaut population. The aim of this qualitative study was to evaluate acceptability of Cognition to astronauts and astronaut surrogate populations.

Cognition was administered repeatedly to N=87 subjects (mean age ±SD 35.1 ±8.7 years, 52.8% male) on a laptop or iPad across five individual studies on the International Space Station or in space analog environments on Earth. Following completion of each study, participants were interviewed regarding their experience using Cognition in a semi-structured debrief. Participant comments were analyzed using a qualitative conventional contentns across a variety of settings and mission durations. Participant feedback provided was used to further improve Cognition and increase its acceptability during sustained space missions.
Cognition was found to be acceptable to astronaut and astronaut-surrogate populations across a variety of settings and mission durations. Participant feedback provided was used to further improve Cognition and increase its acceptability during sustained space missions.Criminal expertise relates to the notion that some individuals may develop domain-specific offending skills that differentiate them from those with less skills or experience (i.e., novices). In the expertise literature, burglary has emerged as a distinct type of "expert" offense, therefore the current study sought to determine whether criminal expertise is more evident in the crime-commission process of sexual burglary compared to sexual robbery. We used binary logistic regression to compare the pre-crime, crime, and post-crime behaviors of 870 cases of hybrid sexual assault that occurred during the commission of either a burglary (N = 319) (or) robbery (N = 479), both of which involved personal theft from a stranger victim. Findings suggest that the crime commission process of sexual burglary involves a more sophisticated modus operandi and greater expertise in detection avoidance (e.g., strategies to protect their identity and destroying and removing evidence) compared to sexual robbery.Public outrage over police-involved deaths of people in mental health crisis has prompted governments to expand access to crisis services that partner police with social workers. Mobile Crisis Intervention Teams (MCIT) offer assessment and support for people in distress while averting escalation. Little attention has been given to the requisite competencies for social workers on MCITs. This narrative review, informed by crisis theory and the author's experience as an MCIT social worker, provides a roadmap of knowledge and skills to familiarize practitioners, educators, and students with this growing intervention model. Social workers on MCITs should have the capacity to engage complex clients, de-escalate tension, assess for risk, plan for safety, provide brief addiction counselling, diffuse interpersonal conflict, link clients with community resources, advocate for change, challenge systemic racism, build constructive relationships, and document services with awareness of relevant legislation. The role of social workers on MCITs is multifaceted and requires attention to balancing client well-being, client safety, and community safety. The practice insights discussed in this article are relevant to preventing harm and loss of life while facilitating engagement between clients and mental health services. In March of 2021, as the world marked the first anniversary since COVID-19 altered our reality, graduate social work students in Dr. Carol Tosone's Evidence-Based Trauma class at NYU considered the challenges of learning about trauma treatment while simultaneously living through a global trauma. link2 Students reflected on their home lives, school experiences, field placements, mental health challenges, feelings of burnout, and the added complexities of racial disparities and injustices. Students also shared their coping mechanisms and hope for the future. This paper aims to provide insight into their varied experiences while relating their struggles and demonstrating their pathways toward resiliency. In this paper, we study a diffusive SIRS-type epidemic model with transfer from the infectious to the susceptible class. Our model includes a general nonlinear incidence rate and spatially heterogeneous diffusion coefficients. We compute the basic reproduction number R 0 of our model and establish the global stability of the disease-free steady state when R 0 1 and perform a bifurcation analysis for a special case of our model. Some numerical simulations are presented to illustrate the dynamics of the solutions as the model parameters are varied. In spite of strict limits on outgassing from organic materials, some spacecraft instruments making long-term measurements of solar extreme ultraviolet (EUV) radiation still suffer significant degradation. While such measures have reduced the rate of degradation, they have not completely eliminated it in some cases. For example, in five years, the aluminum filters used in the Extreme Ultraviolet Variability Experiment (EVE) instruments onboard the Solar Dynamics Observatory (SDO) suffered losses exceeding 40% at 30.4 nm. Comparing those losses with the negligible losses of nearby zirconium filters on the same instruments indicated that the problem was not due to carbonization on the Sun-facing side of the filter. To investigate whether the loss was due to carbon deposition on the downstream face of the Al filter, we exposed the backsides of Al and Zr filters to EUV in the presence of a volatile organic solvent in the laboratory and concluded that this could not be the cause. Given that the residual gas composition in the SDO spacecraft likely has water vapor as well as organics, these findings suggest that the transmission loss in the Al filter originated with oxidation caused by UV-activated adsorbed water.COVID-19 has caused 100s of millions of infections and millions of deaths worldwide, overwhelming health and economic capacities in many countries and at multiple scales. link3 The immediacy and magnitude of this crisis has resulted in government officials, practitioners and applied scholars turning to reflexive learning exercises to generate insights for managing the reverberating effects of this disease as well as the next inevitable pandemic. We contribute to both tasks by assessing COVID-19 as a "super wicked" problem denoted by four features we originally formulated to describe the climate crisis time is running out, no central authority, those causing the problem also want to solve it, and policies irrationally discount the future (Levin et al. in Playing it forward path dependency, progressive incrementalism, and the "super wicked" problem of global climate change, 2007; Levin et al. in Playing it forward Path dependency, progressive incrementalism, and the "super wicked" problem of global climate change, 2009; Levin et al. in Policy Sci 45(2)123-152, 2012). Doing so leads us to identify three overarching imperatives critical for pandemic management. First, similar to requirements to address the climate crisis, policy makers must establish and maintain durable policy objectives. Second, in contrast to climate, management responses must always allow for swift changes in policy settings and calibrations given rapid and evolving knowledge about a particular disease's epidemiology. Third, analogous to, but with swifter effects than climate, wide-ranging global efforts, if well designed, will dramatically reduce domestic costs and resource requirements by curbing the spread of the disease and/or fostering relevant knowledge for managing containment and eradication. Accomplishing these tasks requires building the analytic capacity for engaging in reflexive anticipatory policy design exercises aimed at maintaining, or building, life-saving thermostatic institutions at the global and domestic levels. The four articles that make up this symposium on Tariq Modood's recent collection, Essays on Secularism and Multiculturalism (2019), are based on a public conversation and research colloquium held at Utrecht University on 18 February 2020. In the first article, Modood introduces the conversation with a statement of his thinking over two decades on the subjects of secularism and multiculturalism. This is followed by responses by Pooyan Tamimi Arab and Ernst van den Hemel and, in the fourth and final article, Modood has the last word. There is great interest to explore the importance of different amino-acids on immunity of human. Immunity helps to protect us from the pathogenic infections. The amino-acids are being use to give energy and is also used as an important basic molecule for the making of cells, protecting cell and others. Still, a little information is known for their importance in the inhibition of main protease of SARS-CoV-2. As known, tens of billions of humans are infected due to the SARS-CoV-2 and about a million of deaths are reported due to it or COVID. As of now, no promising drug is available in the market to cure the patients from this infection. Even, the medicines beings used for the partial cure may have some side effects. Therefore, the focus is to explore the natural amino-acids against the Mpro of SARS-CoV-2 as using of amino-acids is not toxic to humans. In the present work, authors have studied the amino-acids using DFT calculations and then they were explored for their promising role in the inhibition of main protease of SARS-CoV-2 using molecular docking and molecular dynamics simulations. Out of the 20 amino-acids, arginine found to best against the main protease of SARS-CoV-2 using the molecular docking and the binding energy was -0.94 kcal/ mol. Further, molecular dynamics simulations for the main protease of SARS-CoV-2 with and without arginine was performed using the Amber and different thermodynamic parameters like ΔH and TΔS to get ΔG, comes out to be 2.74 kcal/mol. It is expected that arginine can boost the immunity.
This study examines whether and how parenthood status is associated with two key aspects of health- mental well-being and smoking- among sexual minority adults across three gender identity groups cisgender gay men, cisgender lesbian women, and transgender gay/lesbian adults.

Parents tend to report worse health than non-parents due to elevated stress associated with parenting. However, most existing scholarship de facto examines parental status and health among cisgender heterosexual adults. Little research has employed an intersectional approach to focus on parenthood and health differences within sexual minority adults across varying gender identities.

OLS and logistic regression models were used to analyze data from the 2010 Social Justice Sexuality Project (N = 2,803), a survey of racially diverse sexual and gender minority adults residing in all 50 US states and Puerto Rico.

In a sample composed predominantly of people of color, parenthood status is related to both mental well-being and smoking status among gay and lesbian adults, but this relationship is inconsistent across cisgender and transgender groups.
