My Left foot is autobiography of Christy Brown who is from Ireland. He was the 13. child of a family that has a 23 children. Christy had a paralysis of the brain when she was born. However, doctors said that she couldn't live long due to this illness. Besides, her mother wanted to educate her child and looked this issue positively. Her family especially her mother helped her so much. One day, her sister took Mona's chalk and drew something to the board with help of her foot. When her mother had seen it, she was really happy. After that, she thought Christy alphabet. Christy learned the letter, A firstly. And then, she wrote "Mother" for her mother. Her mother was amazed. Christy wasn't able to sit, speak and use her hands. Although, her mother was so sad about that, she continued educating her. Her mother's efforts wasn't wasted. Christy succeded to use her left foot. Despite the fact that, she could only use her left foot, she didn't see this as a bad thing. She wrote and drew lots of things by her left foot. Under the favour of these masterpieces, she has a great fame. She wrote her own story with the help of her doctor.

Topic of the book
The vitalism of life is told due to the hardships. Holding a pencil by a foot, the sadness caused by being tongue tied, the favours that her mother have done for her are told in this book.

Christy: She is the main character of the book. She's from Ireland. She is only able to use her left foot. She had a paralysis of the brain when she was born.
Mrs. Brown: She is the mother of Christy. She has never lost her hopes about her son. She was full of love to Christy. She was always with Christy.
Mona: She is the sister of Christy. She always hangs around.
Mr. Brown: He's the father of Christy. He is a paper-hanger.
Tony: He's the brother of Christy. He is the most mischievous child of the family. He is also a paper-hanger like his father.
Paddy: He is the eldest child of 23 children. He always act as a mature.
Katriana Delahunt: She always helped Chrity. She is so beautiful. She wanted to cure her.
Dr.Warnants: He watched Christy while she was growing up. He tried to cure her.

The character that I liked most
The mother of Christy Brown is a really strong character. She always hold her head high. She is completely patient. That's why, I like her most. She always believed her son. She wanted her son to believe that he will success.

When she started talking, the cure was changed. She cured with physical therapy. Under the favour of that, she was able to move easily. Being helpless didn't prevent her from being one of the most famous authors of Ireland. She has a big fame around the world under the favour of her left foot.
