Upgrades to items give players the possibility of upgrading equipment that they already own. This can be done at any item upgrader NPC.

Utility items are not compatible with each other, in contrast to weapons or armor. The majority of utility items have an effect that a player can activate by using them, but some also have additional capabilities that are activated when the user presses a button or activates an ability.
