ADHD Evaluation
To determine if a person is ADHD an assessment is required. The diagnosis is according to the signs that first appeared before the age of 12 and cause significant disruption to work, school or social situations.
Rating scales are often employed to evaluate ADHD. The CAARS-L: S self-rating instrument has proven validity. The observer version of CAARS-L:O has also been confirmed to be valid.
Signs and symptoms
