Mental problems as well as functional change in COVID-19 people starting inpatient therapy.
When comparing by years there is a trend towards general decrease in stigmatisation, moving towards a more positive or optimistic view of mental health.

In general, low stigmatisation towards mental disorders was found in the news and this was reduced steadily over time. Although there are aspects to improve in some particular areas, suggesting that manifest stigma has diminished, but more subtle forms still remain.

Euthanasia is a controversial issue in many countries. However, there is little evidence about attitudes of nurses and nursing students toward euthanasia.

The present study aimed to compare nurses and nursing students' attitudes toward euthanasia.

This is a descriptive cross-sectional study.

Using census sampling, 390 nurses and 125 nursing students were enrolled in this study.

Data were collected using a socio-demographic questionnaire and Euthanasia Attitude Scale that included 20 items that sought to record participants' level of agreement with euthanasia based on a Likert-type scale.

Objectives of the study were stated for all samples, and emphasized the confidentiality of their specifics and responses, and informed written consent was obtained from all participants.

The mean score of nurses and nursing students' attitudes about euthanasia was 3.14 ± 0.26 and 3.22 ± 0.24 out of 5, respectively. The majority of nurses (
= 250, 65.78%) and nursing students (
= 97, 80.83%) had a positive attitude toward euthanasia. There was a significant statistical difference between the attitudes of nurses and nursing students to euthanasia (
= .005).

The results indicated that the majority of students and nurses had a positive attitude regarding euthanasia.

It was recommended to conduct more studies on euthanasia in Iran.

Ought nursing homes to establish clinical ethics committees (CECs)? An answer to this question must begin with an understanding of how a clinical ethics committee might be beneficial in a nursing home context- to patients, next of kin, professionals, managers, and the institution. With the present article, we aim to contribute to such an understanding.

We ask, in which ways can clinical ethics committees be helpful to stakeholders in a nursing home context? We describe in depth a clinical ethics committee case consultation deemed successful by stakeholders, then reflect on how it was helpful.

Case study using the clinical ethics committee's written case report and self-evaluation form, and two research interviews, as data.

The nursing home's ward manager and the patient's son participated in research interviews.

Data were collected as part of an implementation study. Clinical ethics committee members and interviewed stakeholders consented to study participation, and also gave specific approval for the publication of the present article.

Six different roles played by the clinical ethics committee in the case consultation are described analyst, advisor, support, moderator, builder of consensus and trust, and disseminator.

The case study indicates that clinical ethics committees might sometimes be of help to stakeholders in moral challenges in nursing homes.

Demanding moral challenges arise in the nursing home setting. More research is needed to examine whether clinical ethics committees might be suitable as ethics support structures in nursing homes and community care.

To explore gestational diabetes mellitus (GDM) diagnostic markers and establish the predictive model of GDM.

We downloaded the DNA methylation data of GSE70453 and GSE102177 from the Gene Expression Omnibus database. Epigenome-wide association study (EWAS) was performed to analyze the relationship between cytosine-phosphate-guanine (CpG) methylation and GDM. And then the logistic regression models were constructed, with the β-values of CpG sites as predictor variable and the GDM occurrence as binary outcome variable. Data from GSE70453 served as training sets and data from GSE102177 served as verification sets.

The EWAS and overlap analysis identified nine-shared significant CpGs in the two DNA methylation data sets. Remarkably, these nine CpGs were differently methylated in GDM samples compared to their matched normal specimens, among which five fully methylated CpGs were finally selected. Importantly, we established a binary logistic regression model based on the above five CpGs, in which cg11169102, cg21179618 and cg21620107 were critical. Hence, we further built a logistic regression model by using the three CpGs and found that the area under the curve was 0.8209. The validation of the model by using the verification sets indicated the area under the curve was 0.8519.

We identified potential CpG biomarkers for the diagnosis of gestational diabetes mellitus patients through using EWAS and Logistic regression models in combination.

Nanomedicine may offer innovative solutions that can enhance the therapeutic activity and control release kinetics of these agents, opening the way to translating them into the clinic. Two agents of particular interest are rutin (Ru), a flavonoid, and piperine (Pip), an alkaloid, which exhibit a range of pharmacological activities that include antioxidant and anti-inflammatory effects. Nutlin3a In this work, nanoformulations were developed consisting of two metal-organic frameworks (MOFs) with surface modifications, Ti-MOF and Zr-MOF, each of them loaded with Ru and/or Pip. Both MOFs and nanoformulations were characterized and evaluated in vivo for anti-inflammatory and antioxidant effects. Loadings of ∼17 wt.% for a single pro-drug and ∼27 wt.% for dual loading were achieved.
