The current COVID-19 pandemic has been causing significant upheavals in the daily lives of citizens and consequently also their mood (stress, distraction, anxiety, etc.), especially during the lockdown phase. The aim of the investigation is to evaluate the benefits of 20-30 minutes in contact with nature.
The Scientific Community, also through the evidence-based design approach, has already demonstrated the importance of greenery and nature on the psychophysical well-being of people and, in a moment of emergency, contact with the nature can be therapeutic and quite influential on the mental health of staff subject to stress.
During the lockdown, an Italian multidisciplinary working group promoted an experience-based survey, based on the Profile of Mood States methodology, for measuring the psychophysical well-being of hospital staff.
The author collected 77 questionnaires. The benefits that users have obtained from the experience in nature have been investigated by comparing the type of stresses they were subjected to and highlighting various peculiarities in the data analysis associated with the type of green in which they carried out the survey, the healthcare areas in which they worked during the pandemic emergency, and the moment in which the survey was conducted.
The study has highlighted that a short break in green spaces strongly influenced the mental and psychophysical well-being of hospital staff, emphasizing the importance of nearby green spaces in architectures for health. Even a brief break in nature can regenerate users, especially in times of a stressful health emergency.

Currently, autologous bone implantation is the gold standard for treatment of bone defects, but it is limited by secondary trauma and insufficient autologous material. Moreover, postoperative infection is an important factor affecting bone healing.AcN-RADARADARADARADA-CONH2 (RADA) is a new type of self-assembling peptide(SAP) composed of Arg,Ala,Asp and other amino acids was designed and prepared. The "RADA" self-assembling peptide hydrogels has excellent biological activity and it's completely biodegradable and non-toxic.It is also have been confirmed to promote cell proliferation, wound healing, tissue repair, and drug delivery. To promote bone regeneration and simultaneously prevent bacterial infection, we designed biocomposite scaffolds comprising RADA and calcium phosphate cement (CPC), termed RADA-CPC. Mps1-IN-6 The morphological features of the scaffold were characterized by scanning electron microscopy (SEM). In vitro studies demonstrated that RADA-CPC enhances osteoblast proliferation, differentiation and mineralization. In addition, the scaffold was used as a drug delivery system to treat postoperative infections by sustained release of ciprofloxacin (CIP). The RADA-CPC scaffold may have potential application prospects in orthopedics field because of its role in promoting bone repair and as a sustained-release drug carrier to prevent infections.Chitosan and gelatin have been extensively used in tissue engineering for a wide range of different applications, such as wound healing or bone regeneration, due to their advantages excellent biocompatibility (promoting cell adhesion and proliferation), low price and biodegradability. Nonetheless, their main drawback is that they have poor mechanical properties, consequently restricting their use in bone tissue engineering. In previous studies, both materials were cross-linked, with added calcium minerals, which led to an improvement in both mechanical and biological properties. Therefore, this study carries out a mechanical and biological characterization of mineral-hydrogel scaffolds in order to find the best compositions. Different proportions of calcium compounds (CaCO3 and CaHPO4) are used to make up between 20% and 30% of the minerals used in a mineral-hydrogel mix. This addition of minerals enhances not only the mechanical properties, but also the biological ones. On the one hand, the higher the amount of minerals added to the composition, the better the mechanical properties obtained. Additionally, as the proportion of CaCO3 in comparison with CaHPO4 rises, the mechanical properties improve. On the other hand, both cell proliferation and mineralization are improved with the addition of calcium minerals.Pump thrombosis remains a feared complication for patients implanted with durable left ventricular assist devices. Optimal treatment is unknown, but consists of either pharmacologic fibrinolysis or surgical pump exchange. Fibrinolysis is less invasive, but carries a significant risk of intracerebral hemorrhage. We present four cases of LVAD pump thrombosis successfully treated with a novel protocol that consists of low-dose four-factor prothrombin complex concentrate to reverse baseline INR elevation prior to alteplase administration to minimize the risk for intracerebral hemorrhage. The relationship between antineutrophil cytoplasmic antibody (ANCA)-associated vasculitis (AAV) and lung cancer remains unclear. A 66-year-old man presented with pulmonary nodules. Histological examination of a specimen from computed tomography-guided percutaneous transthoracic biopsy revealed adenocarcinoma. The patient was treated using cryoablation and systemic chemotherapy. Sixteen months later, the patient presented with fever, nasal inflammation, recurrent lung lesions, elevated serum creatinine levels, and high levels of ANCA. Histological examination of a specimen from ultrasound-guided percutaneous renal biopsy revealed pauci-immune necrotizing crescentic glomerulonephritis. The patient responded to treatment, but granulomatosis with polyangiitis recurred and he later died. This case highlights the possibility of sequential AAV with lung cancer. Although this is relatively rare, further research is needed to better understand the association or pathophysiological link between lung cancer and AAV.
