In order to minimize the number of unknown parameters for the analysis of viscoelastic suspensions, we employed the multiple echo-reflection ultrasonic spectroscopy (MERUS) technique, which allowed us to determine the material properties, prior to the complicated scattering analysis. In this study, we prepared the particle suspensions of poly(methyl methacrylate) (PMMA), bisphenol-A polycarbonate (PC) and cross-linked poly(dimethyl siloxane) (PDMS) and the acoustic spectra were measured by the ultrasonic spectroscopy. Then, we demonstrated the effect of the particle viscosity on the spectra by using the viscoelastic ECAH model at the wavelength comparable with the particle size.
To explore the innovative educational practices of two care home teams based in the United Kingdom (UK). Both homes aimed to provide education and developmental opportunities so that they could further deliver effective nursing care to residents. Through such practices, the care homes sought to enhance nursing career development and improve workforce retention. The collecting behaviors of child sexual exploitation material (CSEM) offenders provide insight into their cognitions and motivations that have clinical applications.

This study analyzed the CSEM collecting and viewing behaviors of previously convicted offenders.

A postal letter soliciting participation in an online survey was sent to adults previously convicted of CSEM offenses in the United States. Comparison information from a non-offending population of adults within the United States (N=524) was collected and compared to the CSEM respondents (N=78).

A mixed-methods approach was utilized. The CSEM group was compared to a gender-matched sample from the non-offending group for general adult sexual exploitation material (SEM) viewing. Exploratory analyses of CSEM offender behaviors related to collecting, collection diversity, and recidivism were conducted.

None of the offenders viewed CSEM exclusively, and 74% viewed more adult SEM than CSEM. The self-reported recidivism rate was 10%, with infrequent post-conviction CSEM activity.

Maltreatment victimization history is an established risk factor for child maltreatment across generations. However, many parents with a victimization history do not maltreat, and many parents with no victimization history do have victimized children.

To understand differences in demographic and maltreatment risk factors across the following intergenerational patterns of maltreatment cycle maintainers, cycle breakers, cycle initiators, and a comparison group (no maltreatment).

Data were drawn from a large population-based cohort in Queensland, Australia and included 32,574 biological parents and their children. Maltreatment experiences as a victim or person responsible for harm towards a child were obtained from the Queensland Child Protection System.

Multinomial regression was completed with the full sample to compare the three maltreatment groups with the comparison group. Logistic regressions were conducted on all pairwise combinations of maltreatment groups. Models accounted for several demographic and maltreatment factors.
