Psychological stress in the context of the COVID-19 widespread: the actual shared contribution associated with intolerance regarding doubt as well as cyberchondria.
To investigate the characteristics of ground level ozone (O3) for Henan Province, the ambient air quality monitoring data of 2015 and 2016 were analyzed. The result showed that the 8 h-max-O3 concentrations displayed a distinct seasonality, where the maximum and minimum values, averaging 140.41, 54.19 μg/m3, occurred in summer and winter, respectively. There is a significant correlation between meteorological factors and O3 concentration. The Voronoi neighborhood averaging analysis indicated that O3, temperature, and ultraviolet radiation in Henan province were decreased from northwest to southeast, while relative humidity and precipitation displayed the opposite trend. Besides meteorological factors, the chemical processes play an essential role in ozone formation. Reactions of NO, NO2 and O3 form a closed system, and the partitioning point of the OX-component (O3 + NO2) was at 40 and 80 μg/m3 for nitrogen oxide (NOX) in winter and summer, respectively, with NO2 dominating at higher NOx pollution and O3 being the major component at lower levels. The relationship between oxidant (OX = O3+NO2) and NOx concentrations were evaluated to understand the regional and local contribution of OX. It showed that high regional contribution occurred in the spring, whereas the highest local contribution lead to the summer peak of O3 observed in Zhengzhou. This present study reveals important environment impacts from the photochemical process and the meteorological conditions in the region with better understanding on the O3 characterization. V.Characteristics of carbonaceous aerosol (CA) and its light absorption properties are limited in Karachi, which is one of the most polluted metropolitan cities in South Asia. This study presents a comprehensive measurement of seasonality of CA compositions and mass absorption cross-section (MAC) of elemental carbon (EC) and water-soluble organic carbon (WSOC) in total suspended particles (TSP) collected from February 2015 to March 2017 in the southwest part of Karachi. The average TSP, organic carbon (OC), and EC concentrations were extremely high with values as 391.0 ± 217.0, 37.2 ± 28.0, and 8.53 ± 6.97 μg/m3, respectively. These components showed clear seasonal variations with high concentrations occurring during fall and winter followed by spring and summer. SO42-, NO3-, K+, and NH4+ showed similar variations with CA, implying the significant influence on atmospheric pollutants from anthropogenic activities. Relatively lower OC/EC ratio (4.20 ± 2.50) compared with remote regions further indicates fossil fuel combustion as a primary source of CA. Meanwhile, sea salt and soil dust are important contribution sources for TSP. The average MAC of EC (632 nm) and WSOC (365 nm) were 6.56 ± 2.70 and 0.97 ± 0.37 m2/g, respectively. Bleximenib manufacturer MACEC is comparable to that in urban areas but lower than that in remote regions, indicating the significant influence of local emissions. MACWSOC showed opposite distribution with EC, further suggesting that OC was significantly affected by local fossil fuel combustion. In addition, dust might be an important factor increasing MACWSOC particularly during spring and summer. V.In order to realize accurate dynamic control of supersaturation and to study condensation growth characteristics of nanoparticles through different levels of supersaturation, a series of parametric analyses and systematic comparisons between two-stage and three-stage operating temperature designs were simulated with COMSOL Multiphysics. The simulation results showed that the three-stage operating temperature did not change peak supersaturation compared with two operating temperatures, and the three-stage operating temperature was superior in decreasing the amount of water vapor and the temperature, thus lowering particle loss and variation in detection and collection. The peak supersaturation level increased by 0.3 as the flow rate increased from 0.6 to 2.0 L/min, but the supersaturation peak moved from 0.0027 z0 to 0.08 z0 (i.e., the growth time and the final size decreased by 40%). Peak supersaturation increased as the temperature difference increased or the temperature difference window was shifting left, and minimum activation size decreased. Shifting the 70°C temperature difference window from 9°C, 79°C-1°C, 71°C for the condenser and initiator temperatures resulted in peak supersaturation in the centerline being above 5.8, and the activation size changed as low as 1 nm. Experiments with flow rates varying by a factor of 2.5 (from 0.6 to 1.5 L/min) resulted in a final size decrease of 43% (from 3.2 to 1.8 μm), and experimental results of outlet particle size distributions were equivalent with theoretical analysis as the operating temperature was changed. V.Increasing atmospheric CO2 is both leading to climate change and providing a potential fertilisation effect on plant growth. However, southern Australia has also experienced a significant decline in rainfall over the last 30 years, resulting in increased vegetative water stress. To better understand the dynamics and responses of Australian forest ecosystems to drought and elevated CO2, the magnitude and trend in water use efficiency (WUE) of forests, and their response to drought and elevated CO2 from 1982 to 2014 were analysed, using the best available model estimates constrained by observed fluxes from simulations with fixed and time-varying CO2. The ratio of gross primary productivity (GPP) to evapotranspiration (ET) (WUEe) was used to identify the ecosystem scale WUE, while the ratio of GPP to transpiration (Tr) (WUEc) was used as a measure of canopy scale WUE. WUE increased significantly in northern Australia (p less then 0.001) for woody savannas (WSA), whereas there was a slight decline in the WUE of evergreen broadleaf forests (EBF) in the southeast and southwest of Australia. The lag of WUEc to drought was consistent and relatively short and stable between biomes (≤3 months), but notably varied for WUEe, with a long time-lag (mean of 10 months). The dissimilar responses of WUEe and WUEc to climate change for different geographical areas result from the different proportion of Tr in ET. CO2 fertilization and a wetter climate enhanced WUE in northern Australia, whereas drought offset the CO2 fertilization effect in southern Australia. V.
