re needed to assess the optimal long-term management of IDDVT.Two-dimensional (2D) metal-organic framework (MOF) materials with large perpendicular magnetic anisotropy energy (MAE) are important candidates for high-density magnetic storage. The MAE-targeted high-throughput screening of 2D MOFs is currently limited by the time-consuming electronic structure calculations. In this study, a machine learning model, namely, transition-metal interlink neural network (TMINN) based on a database with 1440 2D MOF materials is developed to quickly and accurately predict MAE. The well-trained TMINN model for MAE successfully captures the general correlation between the geometrical configurations and the MAEs. We explore the MAEs of 2583 other 2D MOFs using our trained TMINN model. From these two databases, we obtain 11 unreported 2D ferromagnetic MOFs with MAEs over 35 meV/atom, which are further demonstrated by the high-level density functional theory calculations. Such results show good performance of the extrapolation predictions of TMINN. We also propose some simple design rules to acquire 2D MOFs with large MAEs by building a Pearson correlation coefficient map between various geometrical descriptors and MAE. Our developed TMINN model provides a powerful tool for high-throughput screening and intentional design of 2D magnetic MOFs with large MAE.Primary hyperoxaluria type I (PH1) is a rare kidney disease due to the deficit of alanineglyoxylate aminotransferase (AGT), a pyridoxal-5'-phosphate-dependent enzyme responsible for liver glyoxylate detoxification, which in turn prevents oxalate formation and precipitation as kidney stones. selleck products Many PH1-associated missense mutations cause AGT misfolding. Therefore, the use of pharmacological chaperones (PCs), small molecules that promote correct folding, represents a useful therapeutic option. To identify ligands acting as PCs for AGT, we first performed a small screening of commercially available compounds. We tested each molecule by a dual approach aimed at defining the inhibition potency on purified proteins and the chaperone activity in cells expressing a misfolded variant associated with PH1. We then performed a chemical optimization campaign and tested the resulting synthetic molecules using the same approach. Overall, the results allowed us to identify a promising hit compound for AGT and draw conclusions about the requirements for optimal PC activity.
To evaluate the completeness, consistency and duplicity of records of child sexual abuse on the Notifiable Health Conditions Information System (SINAN) in Santa Catarina, Brazil, between 2009 and 2019.

This was a descriptive and analytical cross-sectional study aimed to assess the quality of SINAN data regarding completeness, consistency and non-duplicity.

3,489 cases of violence were reported, with a 662.5% increase in the number of notifications in the period studied, with the increase in the number of referral centers for the care of people in situations of sexual violence in the state, explaining 46.7% of the variation in the number of cases, between the years studied. Consistency was excellent in 90.0% of the records; and completeness ranged between excellent and good in 92.3% of them. There was an increased trend in completeness for 14 variables in the period. There were no duplicate records.

Data from the sexual violence against children surveillance system were considered adequate regarding the questions that were assessed in the study.

To estimate the temporal trend of the incidence rates of accidents with venomous animals in children and adolescents in Brazil.

An ecological time-series study was carried out between 2007 and 2019. Data were obtained from the Brazilian Information System on Diseases of Compulsory Declaration (Sistema de Informação de Agravos de Notificação - SINAN). The time series of incidence rates of accidents with venomous animals were stratified by age group (children aged 0 to 9 years and adolescents aged 10 to 19 years), Brazilian macro-regions (North, Northeast, Midwest, Southeast, and South), and type of accident (snake, scorpion, spider, and caterpillar). For trend analysis, the Prais-Winsten model and the Annual Percent Change (APC) were used.

The time series of the incidence rate of accidents with venomous animals in children and adolescents from the North, Northeast, Midwest, and Southeast macro-regions and in children from the South region showed an upward trend. The average annual incidence rates were higher in the age group of 10 to 19 years, except for the South macro-region. Accidents with scorpions, snakes, and spiders, in this order, were the most frequent; the trends in the time series stratified by type of animal varied according to the geographic macro-region.

There was an upward trend in the incidence rate of accidents with venomous animals in children and adolescents in Brazil, except for adolescents in the South macro-region of the country.

To translate and validate the Modified Checklist for Autism in Toddlers, Revised with Follow-Up (M-CHAT-R/F) from English to Brazilian Portuguese, taking transcultural differences into account.

Permission for the translation was obtained from the author of the scale. Translation and back-translation were performed, and the document was then assessed for reference and general equivalence. Specialists in childhood autism evaluated the scale. A preliminary version was prepared and pre-tested in a sample population, and a final version was validated with the target population.

Only one question had issues relating to referential equivalence. The 10 individuals questioned in the pre-test all understood most of the instrument, although some suggested substituting certain terms to improve comprehension. The final version was reached following inclusion of pertinent suggestions and was submitted to validation with the target population, indicating a sensitivity of 88.2% for a cutoff point greater than 2 points.

A Brazilian version of the M-CHAT-R/F scale, approved by specialists and understandable by the target audience, is now available for use.

The objective of this study was to map and synthesize evidence on the adequacy of dietary calcium intake and dairy products in Brazilian preschoolers and schoolchildren.

Evidence searches were performed in the MEDLINE (via PubMed) and Latin American and Caribbean Health Sciences Literature (LILACS; via BVS) databases, with no restriction on date or language of publication. Experimental or observational studies that evaluated healthy Brazilian children between 2 and 12 incomplete years old were included.

A total of 18 studies were included. Seven of 11 studies of 11 studies (63.6%) identified mean values of dietary calcium intake below the age recommendation, especially in schoolchildren, with the progression of the age group. Among preschoolers, studies with direct weighing of food showed higher mean values of dietary calcium ingested compared to those with dietary recall. Children attending public daycare centers on a part-time basis tended to have inadequate calcium intake. The consumption of milk and dairy products was lower among older children, especially schoolchildren.

Inadequate dietary calcium intake seems to be prevalent in Brazil during childhood, especially among schoolchildren. Therefore, the evaluation of milk and dairy products intake must be considered in order to desgn appropriate corrective actions.

To investigate the prevalence and factors associated with suicide risk among high school students from a federal educational institution in Rio Grande do Sul (IFRS).

This is a cross-sectional study based on a census of students (n=510) enrolled in IFRS, campus Rio Grande, in the second half of 2019. Data were collected through a self-administered questionnaire. Suicide risk was measured with the instrument Mini-International Neuropsychiatric Interview, and data were analyzed using Poisson regression with robust variance adjustment.

The prevalence of high suicide risk was 17.3% (95% confidence interval - 95%CI 14.0-20.0), with the following independent associated factors female gender, higher socioeconomic status, alcohol consumption, less social support, attempt to lose weight, self-harm behavior, and increased risk of depression, anxiety, and stress.

One in six students showed a high suicide risk. The identification of factors associated with the outcome is useful for detecting the most severe cases and referring them to specialized care.

To analyze if milk and complementary foods are being sold under the Brazilian Code of Marketing of Infant and Toddler's Food, Teats, Pacifiers and Baby Bottles (NBCAL), Law 11265/2006 of breastfeeding protection.

Epidemiological survey that analyzed the marketing practices of pharmacies, supermarkets, and department stores in the Southern region of the city of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, by direct observation.

Among the 349 stores in Rio de Janeiro's South Region, 339 traded milk and complementary foods and, among them, 60.8% were not complying with NBCAL. Infractions to NBCAL were more common for the selling of milk (58.6%) than complementary foods (22.8%). The most recurrent promotion strategy infringing NBCAL was discount pricing without the Ministry of Health disclaimer.

Most retail stores infringe NBCAL in the commercialization of milk and complementary foods in the city of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, a violation of the right to information that may impact mothers' choice regarding their child's feeding.

To assess the association between peripartum events and autism spectrum disorder (ASD) development in children and adolescents.

The current research is a case-control study in northern Minas Gerais state, Brazil. The inclusion criteria in the case group included individuals whose medical records reported an autistic disorder diagnosis, individuals had this diagnosis further confirmed by Northern Minas Autistic Support Association and specialized clinics, and their mothers had to answer positively to the question "Was your child diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder?" in the data collection instrument. Thus, the case group included 253 mothers of children/adolescents of 2-15 years old diagnosed with autism. The inclusion criteria in the control group included 852 individuals belonging to the same age group and enrolled in the same schools as the case group. A semi-structured questionnaire was applied for mothers of children/adolescents, and the multiple logistic regression model was adopted for data analysis.
