56; P less then 0.01), adults and the older adults (rs=0.79; P less then 0.01), and children and the older adults (rs=0.46; P less then 0.01). Among the studied age groups, the most prescribed antibiotic class was penicillin (except the older adults aged ≥85 years) ranging from 45% in children to 27.2% in the older adults. Fluoroquinolones were the least prescribed antibiotic class, ranging from 0.2% in children to 30.2% in the older adults. Conclusion A considerably high use of antibiotic drugs has been detected in Campania Region, with values exceeding the regional and national average. Prescriptions at municipal level differ from one age group to another. Antibiotic use is often unjustified, and to decrease the number of prescriptions and improve their appropriateness, several measures at territorial level are recommended. © 2020 Orlando et al.Background Individual differences have been seen to play a key role in spatial orientation. Gender implications have been previously described but little is known about how other variables, such as wayfinding anxiety, emotional difficulties and wayfinding experience can mediate this relationship. Methods A group of 269 participants were involved in this study and completed questionnaires on their self-reported allocentric orientation strategy, wayfinding experience and satisfaction with the ability for wayfinding. Emotional outcomes were also investigated spatial and trait anxiety, neuroticism, difficulties in emotion regulation, and personal safety. First, a principal component analysis was conducted and the studied variables were grouped into four components outdoor wayfinding experience, wayfinding-related fear, emotional difficulties, and effective wayfinding skill. Afterwards, structural equation modelling was performed, using the MPLUS statistical program. Results The results showed that gender constitutes a predictor for using an effective wayfinding skill and for feeling wayfinding-related fear. However, outdoor wayfinding experience, wayfinding-related fear and emotional difficulties did not mediate the relationship between effective wayfinding skill and gender. Conclusion These results highlight the differential contribution of gender in the emotions that are experienced during spatial orientation and emotions that are related to other types of situations. The limitations, strengths and theoretical implications of the proposed model are discussed. Further investigation is needed in order to understand the role of emotions in spatial orientation. The study also explains the mechanism through which a firm's innovative environment mediates the relationship between entrepreneurial leadership and employees' innovative work behavior. Methods To pursue the objectives, this study has used data from a sample of 350 supervisor-subordinate dyads working in cross sectional small and medium enterprises (SMEs) operating in the Jiangsu province of China. Based on social cognitive theory and specific continuum of self-efficacy theory, a conceptual model was developed and the hypotheses were tested with the help of SPSS 20. Findings Empirical findings recommend a significant positive effect of entrepreneurial leadership on employees' innovative work behavior. The study suggested that firm's innovative environment mediates the relationship between entrepreneurial leadership and the employees' innovative behavior. The results also confirmed that entrepreneurial self-efficacy exerts a positive moderating effect on the association of entrepreneurial leadership and employees' innovative behavior. Conclusion Findings of the present research work have several implications for the management and policymakers of high-tech SMEs who want to augment their employees' innovative behavior in order to compete in a highly competitive and challenging business environment. To the best of authors' knowledge, this work is the first attempt that presents an empirically supported comprehensive model for the development of employees' innovative behavior within entrepreneurial-based high-tech SMEs. It contributes to literature by examining the mediation and moderation process for the development of employees' innovative behavior. © 2020 Li et al.Background Staple line reinforcement (SLR) is a popular tool used by surgeons to increase staple line strength and improve peri-operative hemostasis. However, currently marketed buttress materials require special attention in attachment to the staple anvil and cartridge and may come loose during typical maneuvering of stapling procedures. We have evaluated a new SLR that has an attachment material that affixes buttress across the entire anvil and cartridge face to prevent slipping, twisting, sliding and/or bunching. Methods In benchtop and preclinical testing, the new buttress material (ECHELON ENDOPATH™ Staple Line Reinforcement) was compared to a commercially available SLR for physical characteristics, including strength, absorption, security on the anvil and cartridge during stapler manipulation, impact on the tissue healing response and tissue abrasion. The two SLR's were also compared to a staple line without buttress for hemostasis. Results The new SLR was 180% stronger initially and maintained a greateical benefits carry over into a clinical setting. © 2020 Wong et al.Background Lens culinari s Medik seed has been used in traditional practices to treat various ailments, including diabetes mellitus, in Ethiopia. Previous phytochemical screening studies indicated that germination of the seed of L. culinaris contains more bioactive constituents compared to raw seeds. The aim of this study was to investigate the antidiabetic activity of an aqueous methanol extract of germinated L. culinaris seed extract in streptozotocin (Stz)-induced diabetic mice. Methods The antidiabetic effect of germinated L. culinaris seed extract was determined using Stz-induced diabetic mice. An 80% aqueous methanol extract of germinated L. culinaris seed at doses of 100, 200, and 400 mg/kg was used in the treatment group. Glibenclamid (5 mg/kg) and dimethyl sulfoxide 2% were used as positive and negative controls, respectively. The test extract and controls were given daily for 3 weeks. Blood-glucose levels and body-weight changes were measured weekly. Lipid-profile levels were measured at the end of each experiment.
