Clinical characteristics of COVID-19 disease were identified in a cohort study involving 1099 patients from China. COVID-19 most commonly present with fever, cough, fatigue, and congestion. Two out of 1099 patients were reported to have skin rash, but time of onset and clinical description of rash were missing (Reference B). Another study focused primarily on cutaneous manifestations associated with COVID-19 evaluated 88 patients from Italy. 18 out of the 88 patients developed cutaneous manifestations, but only 8 patients developed skin lesions at onset of disease. However, it is also source and sink of invasive alien species (IAS) with some listed among the worst 100 invasive species by the IUCN. A common approach to study biodiversity and biogeographic patterns or to predict the invasive potential of species is the application of ecological niche models and species distribution models. These are statistical methods using spatially gridded environmental data and species occurrence information. As the Caspian Sea is not connected to the world oceans, spatially gridded environmental data for the Caspian Sea are not available in the widely used Bio-ORACLE marine data set. To address this issue, we compiled 28 ecologically relevant spatially gridded environmental variables using Kriging interpolation of point data to model minimum, maximum, mean and range of temperature, salinity and dissolved oxygen for the surface and benthic zones of the Caspian Sea. Data were retrieved from the World Ocean Dataset. Additionally, we utilized raster statistics to create surface layers of maximum, mean, minimum and range of chlorophyll a from remotely sensed data. We developed these environmental variables as they were previously confirmed to be relevant for the biogeographical classification of the Caspian Sea. To allow projections of models across the world oceans into the Caspian Sea (and vice versa), we matched our raster dimensions with those of the Bio-ORACLE data set. Our extension of the Bio-ORACLE data set with data from the Caspian Sea provides an important basis for the monitoring and evaluation of suitable habitats for native species as well as predicting the invasive potential of Caspian Sea species into the World oceans. Please cite this Data Paper and the associated Figshare data set if the data are used in publications. This article is protected by copyright. On March 12th Italy was declared a red-zone and special protocols were enacted to limit the spread of the virus. Although COVID-19 does not have epidermotropism, cutaneous manifestations in Cov-19 positive patients have been reported [3] and departments of dermatology are considered at high risk [4] and were ordered to admit only patients needing urgent treatments or undergoing chronic immunosuppressive therapy in order to minimize nosocomial virus spread. Whilst WhatsApp's advantages include being highly intuitive, widely used and accessible, there are concerns among clinicians about its use, as well as that of other commercially available communications apps. These include the loss of anonymity to patients, the need to reveal their personal telephone number as well questions over privacy and data security. This article is protected by copyright. Therefore, modified versions of food allergens have been suggested as alternatives to the parent proteins for immunotherapy. The aim of the study was to compare the inherent allergenicity of the native and denatured version of the cow's milk proteins β-lactoglobulin and α-lactalbumin, and to study the impact of the use of Al(OH)3 as an adjuvant. Brown Norway rats were immunized intraperitoneally with either native or denatured β-lactoglobulin or α-lactalbumin, with or without the use of Al(OH)3 as adjuvant. Antibody responses were analysed in various ways by means of different ELISAs. Both the immunogenicity and the sensitizing capacity of the cow's milk allergens were influenced by their globular folding, with the native version being more allergenic than the denatured counterpart. The native folded proteins mainly raised antibodies against conformational epitope, whereas the denatured versions predominantly raised antibodies against linear epitopes. Most interestingly, the study showed that the use of Al(OH)3 , besides increasing immunogenicity and sensitizing capacity of the cow's milk allergens, caused a modification of the specificity of the antibodies raised against the native version of the proteins. Adsorption of the native forms of the allergens to Al(OH)3 caused a significant greater proportion of antibodies raised against linear epitopes, stressing that the adsorption induced a partly unfolding of the proteins. This may have implications for IT safety and efficacy. © 2020 The Scandinavian Foundation for Immunology.Endogenous glutathione (GSH) and glutathione disulfide (GSSG) status are highly sensitive to oxidative conditions and have wide applications as surrogate indicators of redox status in vivo. Established methods for GSH and GSSG quantification in whole blood display limited utility in human plasma, where GSH and GSSG levels are ~3-4 orders of magnitude below that observed in whole blood. This study presents simplified sample processing and analytical LC-MS/MS approaches exhibiting the sensitivity and accuracy required to measure GSH and GSSG concentrations in human plasma samples, which after 5-fold dilution to suppress matrix interferences, range from 200-500 nM (GSH) and 5-30 nM (GSSG). The utility of methods reported herein are evidenced by assay performance and validation parameters which indicate notable sensitivity (LLOQs of 4.99 nM (GSH) and 3.65 nM (GSSG)), high assay precision (intra-assay CVs 3.6% and 1.9%, and inter-assay CVs of 7.0% and 2.8% for GSH and GSSG, respectively). These methods also exhibited exceptional recovery of analyte-spiked plasma samples (98.
