Since the beginning of writing systems, reading comprehension has been essential for success in education and everyday adult life. With the rise of technology and online resources, there is now more support available for developing reading skills, even through remote learning. Current research has explored the effectiveness of internet-based programs for children with reading comprehension challenges. However, few studies have focused on distance rehabilitation programs.

This paper discusses a distance program called Cloze, developed in Italy, to improve language and reading comprehension. The program involved 28 children from grades 3 to 6 who had comprehension difficulties. Each child used the program for 15–20 minutes, at least three times a week, over four months. The program was customized to match each child’s skill level and helped improve their understanding of both narrative and informative texts. The results suggest that remote, personalized programs can effectively support reading comprehension, providing a practical alternative to in-person sessions at rehabilitation centers.
