To explore the safety and clinical utility of MRI in participants with non-MRI-conditional cardiac implantable electronic devices, by establishing the Patient Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging in Non-Approved DEvices (PROMeNADe).

From September 2015 to June 2019, 532 participants (211 women) with a mean age of 69 years ± 14 (standard deviation) were enrolled prospectively in the PROMeNADe registry (ClinicalTrials.gov identifier NCT03081364) and underwent a total of 608 MRI examinations (61 cardiac MRI examinations). All participants had device interrogations performed before and after each MRI. Pacemaker-dependent patients received asynchronous pacing. Patients with an implantable cardioverter defibrillator (ICD) had tachycardia therapies disabled during the MRI. An electrophysiology nurse monitored participants for any hemodynamic or rhythm abnormalities. Referring physicians were surveyed regarding the clinical utility of the MRI. Standard descriptive analyses included summary statistics with perceso the commentary by Peshock in this issue.
This registry demonstrates that MRI examinations, including thoracic MRI examinations, can be performed safely in patients who have non-MRI-conditional devices, in pacemaker-dependent patients with ICDs, and in patients with abandoned leads. These MRI examinations can have a substantial impact on patient care, justifying the extensive resources used to perform them.Supplemental material is available for this article.© RSNA, 2020See also the commentary by Peshock in this issue.Supplemental material is available for this article.
To explore stress echocardiographic findings among patients with pectus excavatum (PEX) and their relationship with malformation severity.

A prospective registry involving consecutive patients with a diagnosis of isolated PEX referred to undergo chest CT and stress echocardiography to evaluate surgical candidacy and/or to define treatment strategies was developed. Malformation indexes were evaluated using chest CT.

This study included 269 patients with PEX (19.7 years ± 7.8 [standard deviation]; 245 men) and 35 healthy volunteers (20.7 years ± 6.1; 21 men). Patients with PEX achieved a lower maximal workload (PEX group, 8.2 metabolic equivalents ± 1.7; control group, 11.8 metabolic equivalents ± 5.5;
< .0001). This study identified evidence of abnormal right ventricular diastolic function in 29% of patients with PEX and identified no evidence of this among those in the control group (
< .0001). Healthy controls showed a 37% increment in the tricuspid area during exercise, compared with 4% in ar function and compression of the atrioventricular groove, which worsened during stress and were related to malformation severity.© RSNA, 2020 An earlier incorrect version of this article appeared online. To compare the accuracy of semiautomated flow tracking with that of semiautomated valve tracking in the quantification of mitral valve (MV) regurgitation from clinical four-dimensional (4D) flow MRI data obtained in patients with mild, moderate, or severe MV regurgitation.

The 4D flow MRI data were retrospectively collected from 30 patients (21 men; mean age, 61 years ± 10 [standard deviation]) who underwent 4D flow MRI from 2006 to 2016. Ten patients had mild MV regurgitation, nine had moderate MV regurgitation, and 11 had severe MV regurgitation, as diagnosed by using semiquantitative echocardiography. The regurgitant volume (Rvol) across the MV was obtained using three methods indirect quantification of Rvol (Rvol
), semiautomated quantification of Rvol using valve tracking (Rvol
), and semiautomated quantification of Rvol using flow tracking (Rvol
). A second observer repeated the measurements. Aortic valve flow was quantified as well to test for intervalve consistency. The Wilcoxon signed rank tes tracking in terms of agreement with indirect quantification and intervalve consistency, particularly in severe MV regurgitation.

Flow tracking enables more accurate 4D flow MRI-derived MV regurgitation quantification than valve tracking in terms of agreement with indirect quantification and intervalve consistency, particularly in severe MV regurgitation.Supplemental material is available for this article.© RSNA, 2020.The coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) global pandemic is an ongoing public health emergency, with over 4 million confirmed cases worldwide. Due to the novel nature of this coronavirus and our evolving understanding of its pathophysiology, there is continued uncertainty surrounding diagnosis and management of COVID-19, especially in pediatric patients. In addition, a new febrile hyperinflammatory Kawasaki-like syndrome (also known as multisystem inflammatory syndrome in children, or MIS-C) has emerged in pediatric patients with temporal association to COVID-19 infection. This review article aims to provide an up-to-date review of the clinical and imaging findings of pediatric MIS-C associated with COVID-19, compared with typical acute pediatric COVID-19 infection, with an emphasis on thoracic imaging findings. To synthesize the literature on diagnostic test accuracy of chest radiography, CT, and US for the diagnosis of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) in patients suspected of having COVID-19 in a hospital setting and evaluate the extent of suboptimal reporting and risk of bias.

A systematic search was performed (April 26, 2020) in EMBASE, PubMed, and Cochrane to identify chest radiographic, CT, or US studies in adult patients suspected of having COVID-19, using reverse-transcription polymerase chain reaction test or clinical consensus as the standard of reference. Two × two contingency tables were reconstructed, and test sensitivity, specificity, positive predictive values, and negative predictive values were recalculated. Reporting quality was evaluated by adherence to the Standards for Reporting of Diagnostic Accuracy Studies (STARD), and risk of bias was evaluated by adherence to the Quality Assessment of Diagnostic Accuracy Studies-2 (QUADAS-2).

Thirteen studies were eligible (CT = 12; chest radiography = 1; US = 0).
