In the pregnancy period, it is recommended to limit the consumption of caffeine. However, the mechanisms of caffeine effect during pregnancy are not fully known. In our study, we aimed to investigate the effect of prenatal caffeine consumption on the embryonic implantation in rats as well as shed light on the relationship between the molecules and implantation stages.MATERIALS AND METHODS Forty-five Wistar albino pregnant rats were randomly divided into 3 main groups, namely into control, low‑dose and high‑dose groups, representing the dose-dependent effects of caffeine. Each main group was divided into 3 subgroups, namely those to be sacrified on days 4 (pre-implantation), 5 (peri-implantation) and 6 (post-implantation) . Different doses of caffeine were given on consecutive days, starting from day 1 of pregnancy up to the day of euthanasia. The implantation sites were investigated with the use of hematoxylin et eosin, Masson trichrome and immunostaining of VEGF, MMP-9, integrin αVβ3, mucin-1 and HB-EGF.
Prenatal caffeine consumption in rats resulted in a dose-dependent decrease in the number of implantation sites. It has been shown that the immunoreactivity of integrin αVβ3 and MMP-9 underwent a change.

The primary clinical objective was to prospectively compare the effectiveness of the "single‑incisionMESH" technique versus sacrospinous ligament fixation (ACSSF) in correcting the defectof pelvic organ prolapse(POP) in the anterior and apical compartments, Their effectiveness was assessed at a 1-year/3-year follow-up (FU).
In the period of 2013-2015, we have randomized 146 women into two groups, namely 73 into ACSSF group and 73 into MESH groupRESULTS At1-year/3-year FU, we achieved an effectiveness of 92 %/87 % in the point Ba (≤‒1 cm) in the MESH group (48/52; 40/46) vs 70 %/66 % in the ACSSF group (35/50; 30/45); (p = 0.005/p = 0.021). At 1-year/3-year FU, in the area of point C (≤‒1 cm), we achieved a 94 %/91 % effectiveness in the MESH group (49/52; 42/46) vs 90 %/80 % in the ACSSF group (45/50; 36/45); (p = 0.005/p = 0.192). In the MESH group, we observed a more frequent occurrence of "de novo" SUI (11 % vs 6 %) and a defect in the unoperated (posterior) compartment (18 % vs 8 %); the difference wa randomized trial, prolapse.
To determine whether there was a relationship between the neutrophil/lymphocyte (NLR), monocyte//lymphocyte (MLR), and the platelet/lymphocyte ratios (PLR) measured in blood samples taken at admission and clinical outcomes (CO) on the 90th day in patients, who were diagnosed as acute ischemic stroke (AIS) in the emergency department (ED) and underwent a mechanical thrombectomy (MT).
Patients aged ≥ 18 years, who were diagnosed as AIS in the ED and underwent MT were included in the study. Patients, who received diagnostic codes of "Cerebrovascular Diseases" (CVD) according to the ICD-10 diagnostic codes were identified. One hundred fifty patients were enrolled in the study. Modified Rankin Scale (mRS) score was used to determine neurologic status on the 90th day. The aim of this study was to explain the demographic data, comorbidity and laboratory findings of our first cases in COVID-19 pneumonia in our country.
We gathered the data of COVID-19 pneumonia participants from our electronic medical system, including daily medical knowledge and laboratory, radiological, and microbiological results between March 10 to April 7, 2020.
Totally, 125 patients, whose findings were compatible with COVID-19, were included in the study, 42 patients were excluded from the study. The distribution of genders was, 39 females (46.9 %), 44 males (53.01 %), the average age was 56.36 ± 16.25 (19-85). Hypertension above 60 years of age and diabetes mellitus under 60 years of age were the most common comorbidities. Neutrophils/ Lymphocyte percent(% NLR) was noted in 44 (53.01 %) patients, average 3 (range 1.78-4.63). There was a statistically significant and positive relationship between D-dimer and C Reactive Protein (CRP) and ferritin.
