The counterfactual diagram entailed from the DARDL model projected the trend of CO2 emission in response to positive and negative changes in the analyzed variables. Lastly, this study established a causal relationship between the agroecosystem and environmental degradation using frequency domain causality. Indeed, our study will aid in reshaping agricultural practices in an eco-friendly manner to mitigate environmental degradation and help formulate pragmatic policy actions so that agro-lead nations can thrive in the race of achieving SDGs 1, 2, and 13.Cement kiln collaborative disposal technology can not only dispose of hazardous waste but also provide energy for the cement industry. However, the addition of hazardous waste may promote the formation of dioxins in cement kilns. In this study, typical hazardous solid wastes, such as solidified fly ash, electroplating sludge, and industrial residue, were co-processed in a cement kiln with different feeding positions and different feeding amounts. The concentrations of dioxins in the flue gas, clinker, and precalciner furnace slag were investigated. The effect of adding mixed hazardous solid waste on the formation of dioxin was also studied. The results showed that the concentration of dioxin in the flue gas without added hazardous waste was 1.57 ng/m3, and the concentration varied from 1.03 to 6.49 ng/m3 after the addition of hazardous waste. In addition, the concentration of dioxin in the flue gas and solid samples increased substantially when the co-processing ratio doubled. The large amount of Cu in solidified fly ash promoted the formation of dioxins, while the higher S content in the electroplating sludge suppressed the formation of dioxins. Compared with the addition of single hazardous waste, the concentration of dioxin in precalciner furnace slag increases by about 300%. Furthermore, the distributions of isomers in the clinker and precalciner furnace slag were similar. 1,2,3,4,6,7,8-HpCDD and OCDD accounted for a large proportion of the mass concentration, and the contribution rate ranged from 48.7 to 82.0%. Most importantly, correlation analysis showed that the concentration of dioxin was closely related to the copper content, hazardous waste types and additive proportion, with correlation coefficients of 0.79, 0.83, and 0.89, respectively. This study provides a basis for exploring the high environmental benefits of disposing of hazardous solid waste by co-processing in cement kilns.Mechanical and biological treatment (MBT), which can be used for waste reduction and for the burning of methane from biological treatments to generate electricity and heating, has become a popular research topic in environmental geotechnical engineering. This study investigated the mechanical behaviour of MBT waste and the effects of different reinforcement contents and reinforcement scales on its shear strength characteristics, and 68 groups of MBT waste samples from the Hangzhou Tianziling landfill were tested in the laboratory with a direct shear test apparatus. The samples exhibited displacement hardening behaviour in their mechanical response. The results show that the content and scale of the reinforced materials in MBT waste play an important role in the strength characteristics of MBT waste, and graphs showing the variation of the MBT waste shear strength and shear strength parameters with different reinforcement contents and reinforcement scales are shown. The range of cohesion c is 6.0-12.0 kPa, and the internal friction angle φ is 15.6-26.6°, respectively. The results of this study provide a reference for the assessment of slope stability at MBT landfills. With the deepening of economic reforms in China, the low-energy transition is increasingly relying on government policy and enterprise participation. This research thus investigates the mechanism through which environmental regulation impacts industrial energy intensity. Based on provincial data during 2005-2019, we construct a dynamic panel model to capture the linkage between environmental regulation and the energy intensity with the consideration of the mediation effect of enterprise investment behavior, i.e., technology or financial investment. Our findings suggest a significant U-shaped relationship between regulation and energy intensity, and that enterprise investment behavior serves as a bridge to mediate the role of environmental regulation in alleviating energy intensity. Such effects are more pronounced for state-owned and large-sized enterprises. These findings can guide enterprises to invest in response to these regulations to further ensure energy efficiency.Atmospheric pollutants including ozone, nitrogen dioxide, sulfur dioxide, and BTEX (benzene, toluene, ethylbenzene, and xylenes) compounds were evaluated concerning their spatial distribution, temporal variation, and health risk factor. Bolu plateau where sampling was performed has a densely populated city center, semi-rural areas, and forested areas. Additionally, the ozone formation potentials of BTEXs were calculated, and toluene was found to be the most important compound in ground level ozone formation. The spatial distribution of BTEXs and nitrogen dioxide pollution maps showed that their concentrations were higher around the major roads and city center, while rural-forested areas were found to be rich in ozone. BTEXs and nitrogen dioxide were found to have higher atmospheric concentrations in winter. That was mostly related to the source strength and low mixing height during that season. The average toluene to benzene ratios demonstrated that there was a significant influence of traffic emissions in the region. Although there was no significant change in sulfur dioxide concentrations in the summer and winter seasons of 2017, the differences in the spatial distribution showed that seasonal sources such as domestic heating and intensive outdoor barbecue cooking were effective in the atmospheric presence of this pollutant. The lifetime cancer risk through inhalation of benzene was found to be comparable with the limit value (1 × 10-6) recommended by USEPA. On the other hand, hazard ratios for BTEXs were found at an acceptable level for different outdoor environments (villages, roadside, and city center) for both seasons.Ground-cover vegetation attracts and harbors beneficial insects to the agrosystem, playing an important role in conservation biological control. Integrated pest management (IPM) program guidelines recommend the implantation of sowed or resident wild covers in perennial crops. Given the high-quality fruit requirements, even in IPM programs, insecticides can be required in citrus crops. This study presents, over a year, the levels of neonicotinoids (thiamethoxam and imidacloprid) in not-target ground-cover wildflowers growing spontaneously in citrus orchards after foliar treatment of citrus trees. The presence and persistence of these neonicotinoids in different wildflower species were studied. Concentrations of thiamethoxam and imidacloprid in whole wildflowers ranged from less then method quantification limit (MQL) to 52.9 ng g-1 and from less then MQL to 98.6 ng g-1, respectively. Thiamethoxam was more frequently detected than imidacloprid. Thiamethoxam and imidacloprid were detected up to 336 and 230 days after treatment, respectively. The highest detection frequencies (100%) and highest thiamethoxam and imidacloprid mean concentrations (26.0 ± 7.3 ng g-1 and 11.0 ± 10.6 ng g-1, respectively) occurred in wildflowers collected 9 days after the treatments. Since application, a clear decrease in the concentration of both compounds and differences in the accumulation depending on wildflower species were observed. Cross contamination was detected, indicating a transport from adjacent treated plots. Calpeptin Maintaining a cover crop in citrus orchards may lead to detrimental effects on non-target arthropods if these neonicotinoid compounds are used for pest control since they can entail a chronic exposure during at least 230 days for imidacloprid and 336 days for thiamethoxam.Due to the semi-closed structure of the tunnel, serious air pollution in tunnels from vehicle exhaust becomes an issue which needed to be addressed. Among the exhaust, nitric oxide (NO) is typically considered as one of the main pollutants. In this paper, a superhydrophobic photocatalytic coating was fabricated by a spraying method by airbrush with a WO3/TiO2 photocatalysis for NO degradation. The water advanced contact angle (WACA) of the coating reached 166.32°, and the WACA was still above 145° after the 30 times abrasion test. The coating exhibited an excellent ability to remove inorganic and organic pollutants. Also, the NO degradation efficiency of this superhydrophobic coating under ultraviolet and visible light sources and humid environments was tested. When the relative humidity reached 98%, the NO degradation efficiency of the coating remained unchanged under visible light irradiation compared with the relative humidity of 45%. In addition, the coating exhibited prominent stability of NO degradation during the cyclic test. Furthermore, the WT coating showed stability and synergy of self-cleaning and photocatalysis toward NO degradation, which ensured the long-term use of the coating. Finally, a synergistic mechanism for self-cleaning and photocatalysis was proposed. This may provide a new idea and support for the application of photocatalytic technology in the degradation of NO in the tunnel. This study aims to investigate the closed-loop supply chain network design problem considering the environmental and responsiveness features. For this purpose, a multi-objective mathematical model is suggested that minimizes the carbon emissions and the total costs and maximizes the responsiveness of the system. Due to the dynamic space of the business environment, uncertainty is an integral part of the supply chain problem. Therefore, this research applies the robust possibilistic programming method to cope with uncertainty. Afterwards, since the research problem has a high level of the complexity, a hybrid solution approach based on a heuristic method and the meta-goal programming method is developed to solve the research problem in a reasonable time. Then, due to the importance of the ventilator device during the recent pandemic (COVID-19), this study considers this product as a case study. The main contribution of the current study is to design a green-responsive closed-loop supply chain network under uncertainty using a multi-objective robust possibilistic programming model, for the first time in the literature, especially in the medical devices industry. On the other side, the other contribution of this study is to develop an efficient hybrid solution method. The achieved results demonstrate the efficiency of the offered model and the developed hybrid method. Eventually, by carrying out sensitivity analysis, the impact of some of the critical parameters on the model is investigated. Based on the obtained results, an increase in the demand sizes leads to increasing the environmental damages and the total costs while reducing the responsiveness level. On the other side, an increase in the rate of return leads to an increase in all of the objective functions. Also, the achieved results show that when the capacity parameter is increased, the total costs are decreased, but the responsiveness and environmental impacts are increased.
