Knee osteoarthritis (KOA) is a major public health issue because it causes pain and functional limitation in patients. Many studies have reported that moxibustion, a treatment in traditional Chinese medicine, is effective in treating KOA. The aim of this protocol is to develop a standard in advance for synthesize and assess the efficacy and safety of thunder-fire moxibustion for KOA from these randomized controlled trial.

The 2 commentators will screen 7 databases (PubMed, EMBASE, the Cochrane Library, Chinese National Knowledge Infrastructure, Chinese VIP Information, Wanfang Database, and Chinese Biomedical Literature Database) for randomized controlled trials that can be included from the time the database is built up until publication in December 2020. The original study that randomized control trials of thunder-fire moxibustion for patients with KOA will be selected and is not limited by country or language. In addition, researches in progress, the reference lists, and the citation lists of identified publications will be retrieved similarly. Study selection, data extraction, and assessment of the quality will be performed independently by 2 reviewers who have been trained before data extraction. A meta-analysis will be conduct if the quantity and quality of the original studies included are satisfactory; otherwise, a descriptive analysis will be conducted. Review Manager 5.4 software (The Nordic Cochrane Centre, The Cochrane Collaboration, Copenhagen, Denmark) will be using for data synthesis and assessment the risk of bias according to Cochrane Handbook.

This study will provide a comprehensive review of current evidence for the treatment of thunder-fire moxibustion on KOA.

The conclusion of this study will provide a judging basis that whether the treatment of KOA with thunder-fire moxibustion is effective.

Acute kidney injury (AKI) is a complication that can occur during endovascular aneurysm repair (EVAR), increasing postoperative mortality and disease-related death. We therefore evaluated the incidence of AKI after elective EVAR, as well as related factors affecting AKI occurrence, investigating the volume of contrast medium (CV)/estimated glomerular filtration rate (eGFR) ratio as a predictive factor. We retrospectively reviewed the data of patients who underwent EVAR for infrarenal abdominal aorta aneurysm at a single center between April 2011 and December 2018. AKI was defined according to the Kidney Disease Improving Global Outcomes criteria. We evaluated the occurrence of AKI within the first 7 days postoperatively, comparing serum creatinine levels, eGFR, CV, CV/eGFR ratio, fluid input and output, and morbidity between the AKI and no-AKI groups. The data of 147 patients were analyzed, of which 131 (89.1%) were males (mean age 72.10±7.40 years); the incidence of AKI was 4.1% (6/147 patients). The mean do% sensitivity and 83.0% specificity. The CV/eGFR ratio, rather than the absolute amount of contrast agents, was associated with the development of AKI after EVAR. The CV/eGFR ratio could be used as a possible indicator to limit the amount of contrast media required for the procedure.
Multimodality assessment of coronary artery lesions has demonstrated superior effectiveness compared to the conventional approach, for assessing both anatomical and functional significance of a coronary stenosis. Multiple imaging modalities can be integrated into a fusion imaging tool to better assess myocardial ischemia.

The FUSE-HEART trial is a single center, prospective, cohort study that will assess the impact of a coronary artery stenosis on myocardial function and viability, based on advanced fusion imaging technics derived from Cardiac Computed Tomography Angiography (CCTA). Moreover, the study will investigate the correlation between morphology and composition of the coronary plaques and myocardial ischemia in the territory irrigated by the same coronary artery. At the same time, imaging parameters will be correlated with inflammatory status of the subjects. The trial will include 100 subjects with coronary lesions found on CCTA examination. The study population will be divided into 2 groups firsability.
Alveolar capillary dysplasia with misalignment of the pulmonary veins (ACD/MPV) is a rare congenital malformation in neonates that results in severe respiratory distress and pulmonary hypertension. ACD/MPV is caused by mutations in the FOXF1 gene. Herein, a new case of a girl with ACD/MPV carrying a novel pathogenic variant of FOXF1 was reported.

A 3-month-old Chinese girl was admitted to the hospital presenting a complaint of cyanosis for 10 days and respiratory distress for 2 days. The history of foreign body inhalation was denied.

Blood routine, liver and kidney function, electrolytes, type B natriuretic peptide, electrocardiogram, cardiac computed tomography (CT), and echocardiography were done after admission. Dysplasia of the alveolar and the left upper pulmonary vein was displayed through cardiac CT. Echocardiography showed atrial septal defect, tricuspid valve malformation, and pulmonary hypertension. Sequence analysis of FOXF1 from genomic deoxyribonucleic acid (DNA) revealed that the patient w was found in our case. Non-invasive methods such as DNA sequencing and FOXF1 analysis are helpful in the clinical diagnosis of ACD/MPV especially in early infants with respiratory distress and pulmonary hypertension.
Early acute massive pulmonary thrombosis embolism (PTE) after lung cancer surgery is one of the most fatal surgical complications. It is often accompanied by shock and hypotension, with high mortality rate. Due to surgical wounds, patients with early acute massive PTE after lung cancer surgery have a high risk of thrombolytic bleeding, which renders treatment more challenging and there is currently no standard protocol on how to safely and effectively treat these patients in the clinic.

A 66-year-old woman after video-assisted thoracoscopic surgery for lung cancer, experienced sudden severe dyspnea, shock and hypotension with high D-Dimer, changed electrocardiogram (ECG), right ventricular dilatation, severe tricuspid regurgitation, and raised pulmonary arterial pressure on ultrasonic cardiogram (UCG), thromboses found on Ultrasonography of lower extremity vein.

Because of her clinical manifestations and results of bedside auxiliary examinations, the patient was finally diagnosed with acute high-risk PTE after lung cancer surgery.

1.5 hours after onset of symptoms, thrombolysis using a continuous micropump infusion of 20,000 units/kg urokinase into the peripheral vein for 2 hours was initiated for this patient.

The patient died of massive hemorrhage after thrombolysis.

Treatment for patients with early acute PTE after lung cancer surgery is challenging due to a high risk of thrombolytic bleeding at the surgical site. Real-time monitoring of vital signs during thrombolysis and catheter-directed thrombolysis are recommended for these patients, in order to use the minimum drug dosage for quick curative effects and a low risk of bleeding.

Dual atrioventricular node non-reentrant tachycardia (DAVNNRT) is a rare arrhythmia. We present a case of inappropriate implantable cardioverter defibrillator (ICD) therapy caused by DAVNNRT. DAVNNRT is easily misdiagnosed as atrial fibrillation and is often identified as ventricular tachycardia (VT) by the supraventricular tachycardia-ventricular tachycardia (SVT-VT) discriminator of the ICD.

A 73-year-old man with ischemic heart disease (IHD) presented with palpitations accompanied by dyspnea and syncope. Frequent multifocal premature ventricular beats and non-sustained ventricular tachycardia were observed on ambulatory electrocardiography. The left ventricular ejection fraction decreased to 32%.

He was diagnosed with IHD, heart failure with reduced ejection fraction (HFrEF), and VT.

Initially, the patient received a single-chamber ICD implantation for secondary prevention of sudden death. He then suffered from inappropriate anti-tachycardia pacing (ATP)/shock therapy many times after the procedure. DAVNNRT was confirmed in an electrophysiology study (EPS), and radiofrequency ablation of the slow pathway successfully terminated this tachycardia.

No episode of inappropriate ICD therapy or tachycardia occurred during the follow-up.

In conclusion, it is essential to have a full understanding of DAVNNRT and eliminate slow pathways for patients with DAVNNRT and be prepared to implant an ICD.

Colon cancer patients suffer from high incidence and mortality rates worldwide. More novel molecular biomarkers should be used for the diagnosis and treatment of colon cancer. Long noncoding RNAs (lncRNAs) are found to be involved in colon cancer tumorigenesis and metastasis. This study aimed to identify novel lncRNAs in colon cancer. Two independent datasets (GSE70880 and GSE110715) were downloaded from the Gene Expression Omnibus database and merged with the sva package. R software was used to distinguish differentially expressed lncRNAs and mRNAs in the merged dataset. Mizoribine mw The competing endogenous RNA (ceRNA) network was constructed using differentially expressed lncRNAs and mRNAs with Cytoscape. Differentially expressed RNAs in the ceRNA network were further verified using the Cancer Genome Atlas database. Gene oncology analysis, Kyoto Encyclopedia of Genes and Genomes pathway enrichment and survival analysis were also performed to identify hub genes.A total of 99 differentially expressed lncRNAs and 95 diffy tumor stages and might be used for the early diagnosis of colon cancer. High expression of LINC00114 can lead to poor overall survival of colon cancer patients. Furthermore, new pathways such as LINC00114/miR-107/PCKS5, UCA1/miR-107/PCKS5, and UCA1/miR-129-5p/SEMA6A were identified. Two novel lncRNAs (LINC00114 and UCA1) in colon cancer were identified by bioinformatics analysis. They might contribute to the occurrence and development of colon cancer. In addition, LINC00114 may be involved in the overall survival of colon cancer patients.
Carcinomatous meningitis (CM) is a critical issue for physicians. However, no study has reported a simple and useful diagnostic or predictive marker for CM.This study aimed to elucidate the potential markers for diagnosing CM derived from cerebrospinal fluid (CSF).We retrospectively enrolled 78 lung cancer patients with suspected CM during the clinical course, including 42 CM and 36 non-CM patients. We compared the clinical and CSF findings, including carcinoembryonic antigen (CEA), between CM and non-CM patients, and explored the diagnostic markers for early identification of CM as well as the contributing factors for mortality. On CSF analysis, with cutoff values of CEA ≥5 ng/ml, total protein (TP) in CSF ≥45 g/dl, and total cell count (TCC) ≥7 cells/μL, the sensitivity, specificity, and area under the curve (AUC) for CM were 85.7%, 84.6%, and 0.887 (95% CI 0.758-1.0, P < .001); 80.5%, 69.4%, and 0.755 (95% CI 0.646-0.865, P < .001); and 56.1%, 100%, and 0.817 (95% CI 0.722-0.912, P < .001), respectively.
