the US, its use continues overseas; therefore, safety studies remain important. Furthermore, such studies can provide reassurance to women inadvertently exposed to nonavalent HPV vaccine (9vHPV) in pregnancy, which protects against four of the same antigens as 4vHPV, since safety of 9vHPV has not yet been established in pregnant women. Many natural products are prodrugs which are biotransformed and activated after oral administration. The investigation of gastrointestinal and hepatic biotransformation can be facilitated by in vitro screening methods. This study compares two widely used in vitro models for hepatic biotransformation 1) human S9 fractions and 2) human liver microsomes and cytosolic fractions in a two-step sequence, with the purpose of identifying differences in the biotransformation of medicagenic acid, the putative precursor of active metabolites, responsible for the medicinal effects of the herb Herniaria hirsuta. The combination of liquid chromatography coupled to high-resolution mass spectrometry with subsequent suspect and non-target data analysis allowed the identification of thirteen biotransformation products, four of which are reported here for the first time. Eight biotransformation products resulting from oxidative Phase I reactions were identified. Phase II conjugation reactions resulted in the formation of three glucuronidated and two sulfated biotransformation products. No major differences could be observed between incubations with human liver S9 or when utilizing human microsomal and cytosolic fractions. Apart from two metabolites, both methods rendered the same qualitative metabolic profile, with minor quantitative differences. As a result, both protocols applied in this study can be used to study in vitro human liver biotransformation reactions.
A recent "bimodal-balance recovery" model suggests that contralesional influence varies based on the amount of ipsilesional reserve inhibitory when there is a large reserve, but supportive when there is a low reserve. Tat-beclin 1 clinical trial Here, we investigated the relationships between contralesional influence (inter-hemispheric inhibition, IHI) and ipsilesional reserve (corticospinal damage/impairment), and also defined a criterion separating subgroups based on the relationships.
Twenty-four patients underwent assessment of IHI using Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (ipsilateral silent period method), motor impairment using Upper Extremity Fugl-Meyer (UEFM), and corticospinal damage using Diffusion Tensor Imaging and active motor threshold. Assessments of UEFM and IHI were repeated after 5-week rehabilitation (n=21).
Relationship between IHI and baseline UEFM was quadratic with criterion at UEFM 43 (95%conference interval 40-46). Patients less impaired than UEFM=43 showed stronger IHI with more impairment, whereas patients more impaired than UEFM=43 showed lower IHI with more impairment. Of those made clinically-meaningful functional gains in rehabilitation (n=14), more-impaired patients showed further IHI reduction.
A criterion impairment-level can be derived to stratify patient-subgroups based on the bimodal influence of contralesional cortex. Contralesional influence also evolves differently across subgroups following rehabilitation.
The criterion may be used to stratify patients to design targeted, precision treatments.

The problems faced by trans women with regard to their voice may affect their quality of life. For the evaluation of trans women's voice, tools assessing their self-perception are very important, with the Transsexual Voice Questionnaire (TVQ
) being one of the most frequently used. The purpose of this study was to investigate the validity and reliability of the Turkish version of the TVQ
(TVQ
-TR), which was previously translated into 12 languages.
Cross-sectional study.
A total of 41 trans women participated in this study. The participants filled out the TVQ
-TR, the self-perceptions of voice femininity questionnaire, and the World Health Organization Quality of Life Questionnaire-Short Form (WHOQOL-BREF-TR). Additionally, 58.5% of the participants filled out the TVQ
-TR again two weeks after the first interview.
The total Cronbach's-α value of the TVQ
-TR was 0.972, and the item-total correlation values were found to be between 0.323 and 0.876. The intraclass correlation coefficient value was 0.931. There was a strong negative correlation between TVQ
-TR and self-perceptions of voice femininity. There was a significant negative correlation between TVQ
-TR and the psychological and environmental domains of WHOQOL-BREF-TR. However, there was no significant relationship found between the social and physical domains.
According to the results of the study, the Turkish version of TVQ
-TR was considered a valid and reliable tool.

The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of hyaluronic acid injection on dysphagia, aspiration, and voice problems in patients with persistent functional problems despite appropriate rehabilitation after partial laryngectomy.
Seventeen patients who underwent hyaluronic acid injection due to persistent swallowing, aspiration, and voice problems after partial laryngectomy surgery were included in the study. The hyaluronic acid injection was performed after 2 years of follow-up after partial laryngectomy surgery. Evaluation of swallowing was performed through a fiberoptic endoscopic evaluation of swallowing and was quantified using two scales a dysphagia score and a modified penetration-aspiration scale. Voice Handicap Index-10 was used for the determination of the psychosocial handicapping effects of the voice. Jitter percent, shimmer percent, fundamental frequency, harmonics-to-noise ratio, and maximum phonation time were evaluated for the acoustic analysis of the voice. All measurements weould be considered along with conservative treatments to improve swallowing and voice function after partial laryngectomy. Hyaluronic acid injection may be an effective method both in the short and long term for the surgical rehabilitation of persisting functional problems that may occur following partial laryngectomies.
