Although combination of cyclin-dependent kinase 4 and 6(CDK4/6) inhibitors with endocrine therapy for advanced breast cancer (ABC) prolongs PFS in patients, but also has associated toxic side effects. To evaluate the clinical performance of universal adhesives in etch-and-rinse or self-etch application modes through meta-analysis.

A literature search was performed by two reviewers in the PubMed, Cochrane Library, and Embase databases (from January 2000 to March 2020). A total of 2,516 non-replicated records were identified and filtered. Studies that evaluated the clinical performance of universal adhesives using etch-and-rinse or self-etch mode were included. RevMan 5.3.5 (Cochrane, London, UK) was used to perform the meta-analysis.

A total of 13 studies were included in the meta-analysis. The retention rates were higher in etch-and-rinse groups compared with self-etch groups [odds ratio (OR) =0.35, 95% confidence interval (CI) 0.18-0.71, P=0.003]. The etch-and-rinse approach also had better performance in marginal adaptation (OR =0.49, 95% CI 0.36-0.67, P<0.001) and marginal staining (OR =0.49, 95% CI 0.36-0.66, P<0.001). The current data showed a very low incidence rate of secondary caries or postoperative sensitivity, and there were no significant differences in the incidence rates between the etch-and-rinse groups and self-etch groups.

Tension-type headache (TTH), also called muscle contraction headache or neurological headache, is mainly characterized by chronic and persistent bilateral headache in the neck and a severe sense of restraint in the head. This study aims to analyze the effect of warming acupuncture and moxibustion at temples combined with Deanxit on tension headache.

A total of 252 patients with anxiety and tension headache were randomly divided into routine group and study group. The study group was treated with Dailixin on the basis of warm acupuncture and moxibustion. Compared with a central venous catheter, a peripherally inserted central catheter (PICC) has the advantages of less trauma and a lower risk of bleeding and bloodstream infection. However, patients with tumors are commonly immunocompromised and therefore susceptible to infection during the course of PICC indwelling. This study aimed to investigate the relationship between serum amyloid protein A (SAA), procalcitonin (PCT), C-reactive protein (CRP), and PICC infection in patients with malignant tumor.

Patients with malignant tumor treated with PICC in Gansu Provincial Cancer Hospital from March 2017 to January 2020 were retrospectively investigated. The incidence of infection and the differences in SAA, PCT, CRP, prothrombin time (PT), activated partial thromboplastin time (APTT), thrombin time (TT), fibrinogen (FIG), interleukin-18 (IL-18), and interleukin-16 (IL-6) between the infected group and noninfected group were observed. The correlations of SAA, PCT, and CRP levels in different infection sites and r infection. Furthermore, these parameters were positively correlated with the degree of PICC catheter infection.
In patients with malignant tumors, PICC catheter infection were associated with increased risk of bleeding and the levels of SAA, PCT, and CRP can be used as predictive diagnostic indexes for PICC catheter infection. Vitamin D deficiency is considered to be a global health problem. The purpose of this study was to evaluate the prevalence of vitamin D deficiency and analyze its related factors among adult residents in Hainan, a tropical island province of southern China.

A total of 1,700 healthy adults, aged 18-86 years (617 men and 1,073 women), were enrolled in our cross-sectional descriptive study. Binomial logistic regression analyses were performed to identify possible predictors of vitamin D status.

The average serum 25-hydroxyvitamin D [25(OH)D] concentration was 37.66±10.77 ng/mL (males 43.60±11.8 ng/mL, females 34.20±8.40 ng/mL; I<0.001). The proportions of vitamin D sufficiency [25(OH)D ≥30 ng/mL], insufficiency [20 ng/mL ≤25(OH)D <30 ng/mL], and deficiency [25(OH)D <20 ng/mL] were 76.6%, 20.5%, and 2.9%, respectively.
