Fra-1(Fos-related antigen1), a member of transcription factor activator protein (AP-1), plays an important role in cell proliferation, apoptosis, differentiation, inflammation, oncogenesis and tumor metastasis. Accumulating evidence suggest that the malignancy and invasive ability of tumors can be significantly changed by directly targeting Fra-1. Besides, the effects of Fra-1 are gradually revealed in immune and inflammatory settings, such as arthritis, pneumonia, psoriasis and cardiovascular disease. These regulatory mechanisms that orchestrate immune and non-immune cells underlie Fra-1 as a potential therapeutic target for a variety of human diseases. In this review, we focus on the current knowledge of Fra-1 in immune system, highlighting its unique importance in regulating tissue homeostasis. In addition, we also discuss the possible critical intervention strategy in diseases, which also outline future research and development avenues.Respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) is a major cause of acute lower respiratory tract infections in children and elderly. No vaccine or effective treatment is currently available for RSV. Extracellular vesicles (EVs) are microvesicles known to carry biologically active molecules, including RNA, DNA and proteins (i.e. cargo). Viral infections can induce profound changes in EV cargo, and the cargo can modulate cellular responses of recipient cells. We have recently shown that EVs isolated from RSV-infected cells were able to activate innate immune response by inducing cytokine and chemokine release from human monocytes and airway epithelial cells, however, we did not investigate the potential antiviral contribution of EVs to a subsequent infection. The objective of this study was to assess the presence of innate immune mediators, including type I and III interferons (IFNs) in EVs released from airway epithelial cells infected with RSV, and their potential role in modulating viral replication in recipient cells. Eected cells could represent a potential therapeutic approach for modulating RSV replication in the airways.
Twenty years after the prior survey, the seventh international business curriculum survey was conducted in 2020 under the sponsorship of the Academy of International Business (AIB) and the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB). AZD9291 manufacturer This paper reports the survey's findings and makes relevant comparisons with the results of the two previous curriculum surveys. This study is not only an update but also explores new directions of international business (IB) integration into the business schools' programs. Although the percentage of matrix structures and separate IB departments is higher in the 2020 survey than earlier, the majority of IB faculty are still scattered across functional departments without IB recognition. Essentially, with few exceptions, we found that European schools are consistently more international than their counterparts elsewhere. Business school deans also consider experiential learning very effective in equipping students with IB knowledge and are generally quite satisfied with the overall progress of their internationalization efforts. The survey findings contribute to understanding how IB is integrated into business schools and offer insights for identifying future opportunities.

Revised American Society for Reproductive Medicine (rASRM) classification for endometriosis is considered to have limited ability to predict fertility after surgery. This study evaluated the effect of surgical findings described by the rASRM classification on postoperative change in serum Anti-Müllerian hormone (AMH) in endometriosis.

We retrospectively analyzed 112 patients with endometrioma who underwent laparoscopic ovarian cystectomy. The ovarian score was defined as the sum of the endometrioma score from the size and depth of endometrioma and the adhesion score from the extent and types of ovarian adhesion described in the rASRM classification. The ovarian score was correlated with the AMH levels before surgery (AMH0), 3 (AMH3), and 6 months (AMH6) after surgery. To design a model for predicting AMH6, using ovarian score and AMH0, we calculated the unstandardized predictive value of AMH6/AMH0 (UPV) by linear regression analysis. The predicted AMH6 (pAMH6) could be calculated by multiplying the UPV byding the size and depth of the endometrioma and extent and types of adhesion could be useful indicators for ovarian reserve after surgery.
Mental and physical health are affected by family and neighborhood socioeconomic status (SES). Accelerated maturation in the context of lower SES is one mechanism that might contribute to underlying health disparities; few studies, however, have considered neighborhood SES in relation to putative markers of brain maturation in adolescents.

In 120 adolescents 13 to 18 years of age, we examined family and neighborhood SES in relation to cortical thickness adjusted for age. We also examined whether cortical thickness was related to depressive symptoms and explored regions of interest.

Controlling for age, neighborhood socioeconomic disadvantage was associated with a thinner cortex in the left hemisphere (standardized β = -0.20), which was related to more severe depressive symptoms (standardized β = -0.33). Family SES was not significantly associated with age-adjusted mean cortical thickness in either hemisphere after controlling for relevant covariates. In exploratory, covariate-adjusted analyses of corticpear to have a thinner cortex according to global and regional measures. Reduced cortical thickness in the left hemisphere may indicate increased risk for depression in adolescence.A healthy 11-year-old girl presented with exercise intolerance of unclear etiology, and her physical exam was notable for a 3/6 systolic ejection murmur at the left upper sternal border with radiation to the back. Extensive noninvasive workup consisted of ECG, transthoracic echocardiogram, and cardiac MRI/MRA, which were all nondiagnostic. She was ultimately referred for cardiac catheterization. Baseline invasive hemodynamics demonstrated a normal cardiac index and pulmonary vascular resistance but was notable for mildly elevated right and left end-diastolic pressures. A diagnosis remained elusive, so a 500 mL volume challenge was performed, which unmasked right and left ventricular waveform transformations to reveal the pathognomonic "square root sign" of restrictive cardiomyopathy with concordant RV/LV respirophasic variation. These findings and her clinical history allowed for the rare pediatric diagnosis of restrictive cardiomyopathy early in her clinical course, prior to the development of overt signs of pathologic myocardial remodeling, such as pulmonary hypertension and biatrial enlargement.Ventricular tachycardia (VT) or ventricular fibrillation (VF) storm associated with severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 infection is a potentially fatal complication; the correlation of these 2 disorders, however, has not been well studied. This retrospective case series examined outcomes of 2 patients who were admitted for repeated implantable cardioverter-defibrillator shocks with or without syncope and observed to have VT/VF storms with COVID-19. Mechanisms of VT/VF storms in COVID-19 are multifactorial including myocarditis, systemic inflammation, hyperadrenergic state, hemodynamic instability, hypoxia, acidosis, and proarrhythmic drugs. A higher incidence of VT/VF storm is observed in patients with comorbidities and those requiring critical care, with some studies reporting increased mortality. In our cohort, 1 of the 2 patients succumbed to the complications from COVID-19, and the other patient was discharged to home in stable condition. Monitoring of life-threatening arrhythmias in the setting of COVID-19 may need to be adopted to prevent morbidity and mortality.Primary cardiac tumors are unusual, whereas lipomas are particularly rare. We successfully removed a very large posterior cardiac lipoma by transecting the ascending aorta and main pulmonary artery. Transecting both the ascending aorta and the main pulmonary artery facilitated surgical exposure and complete removal of the posterior cardiac lipoma.Immune checkpoint inhibitors (ICIs) have emerged in recent years as promising treatment options for several malignant tumors. However, ICI therapy has also been associated with various immune-related adverse events (irAEs), especially for patients with preexisting autoimmune status, which sometimes can be life-threatening. A 68-year-old woman diagnosed with metastatic thymoma was treated with camrelizumab, a new ICI, as her antitumor protocol. Eleven days after the first dose of camrelizumab, the patient was admitted to our hospital with symptoms of dyspnea, fatigue, and poor appetite. Workups on admission indicated dramatically elevated transaminase, troponin I, creatine kinase, and a new-onset conduction abnormality on electrocardiography. After detailed evaluation, ICI-related myocarditis, myositis, and hepatitis were diagnosed, and therapies including intravenous methylprednisolone were administered. Coronary angiography was performed to exclude acute coronary syndrome due to dynamic electrocardiography changes on day 3. She lapsed into a coma with respiratory muscle failure on the next day, which was highly suspected of myasthenic crisis. Mechanical ventilation and higher dose of methylprednisolone plus intravenous immunoglobulin were applied immediately. However, the third atrioventricular block occurred within the same day, and an urgent temporary pacemaker was placed. More seriously, refractory ventricular tachycardia (VT) occurred subsequently, and even multiple antiarrhythmic drugs used in combination failed to alleviate the VT storm. On day 5 of hospitalization, she suffered from ventricular fibrillation and died of cardiac arrest. In clinical practice, close follow-up should be conducted after ICI treatment, especially for patients already with or at high risk for autoimmune disorders. A multidisciplinary team approach is of importance for better management of patients with multiple organ involvement.Access to online career information increases the complexity of career decisions (choosing a major or job). When the number of alternatives is large, the first step is to compile a list of promising career alternatives for further exploration, often by using interest inventories (e.g., the Self-Directed Search). But what makes such a list useful? The judgments of 20 career counselors and 103 graduate students supported the hypothesis that higher list quality is associated with a greater similarity between the occupations on the list, fewer occupational fields represented by the occupations on the list, and a list length approximating seven occupations. An intelligent health detection model is a new technology developed under an artificial intelligence environment, which is of great significance to the care of the elderly and other people who cannot take care of themselves. This paper comprehensively reviews the structural health monitoring method based on an intelligent algorithm, introduces the application model of neural networks in structural health monitoring in detail, and points out the shortcomings of using neural network technology alone. On the basis of previous work, the genetic algorithm and fuzzy theory were introduced as optimization tools, and a new neural network training algorithm was constructed by combining genetic algorithm, fuzzy theory, and neural network technology for structural health monitoring research. Aimed at the shortcoming of insufficient samples for training neural networks based on experimental data, this paper proposes to use the finite element method to construct a genetic fuzzy RBF neural network after corresponding processing of the first six-order bending modal frequencies of the structure, so as to realize the localization and detection of delamination damage of composite beams.
