1. Goal for the Examination:
My goal for the upcoming Mathematics exam is to obtain a 95% or higher as I feel that I really have the potential and the knowledge to achieve it this time.
2. Examination Breakdown:
The exam will cover four main topics:
- Identifying axes and coordinates in the Cartesian plane.
- Identifying symmetries (axial, central, and rotational).
- Drawing central and axial symmetries.
- Identifying and drawing turns of segments and figures.
Each topic requires a clear understanding of the key concepts, examples, and the resources sheets to practice.
3. Preparation in Priority Order:
1. Undersand and memorize class notes for each of the four topics.
2. Work through the practice problems sheets from each topic and review solutions. If I make a mistake, mark the excercice.
3. Do the marked exercises again to understand and correct the mistake.
4. Review previous exams to familiarize myrself with exam format and the types questions and think about what the questions might be like on this exam.
5. Make a final review of all topics the night before the exam.
4. Study Schedule:
- Wednesday, October 2, 4-5 pm: Review class notes of the Cartesian plane and practice identifying axes and coordinates.
- Thursday, October 3, 7-8 pm: Study symmetries and practice identifying axial, central, and rotational symmetries.
- Friday, October 4, 4-5 pm: Focus on drawing central and axial symmetries with the provided exercises.
- Saturday, October 5, 10 am-13 pm: Work on identifying and drawing turns of segments and figures, practicing with different examples.
- Sunday, October 6, 4-7 pm: Complete past exam papers and conduct a final review of all topics.
5. Deadline:
All studying should be completed by the evening before the exam, which is set for October 7, to ensure I have time for a thorough review, a relax time, and a good night’s sleep before the exam.
6. Possible Challenges:
Possible challenges may include time management due to other schoolwork or unexpected events. In addition, difficulties may arise in understanding specific concepts. I will overcome these challenges by sticking to the study schedule as closely as possible, asking for help from compainions, firends or professors for difficult topics, and adjusting my study plan if it's necessary to ensure that all content is covered.
