To illustrate the obstetrical outcome after B-Lynch sutures and ligation of the uterine arteries.

A 26-year-old nulliparous woman. A caesarean section performed for obstructed labour was complicated by uterine atony. A B-Lynch uterine compression suture technique was used combined with ligation of the ascending branches of the uterine arteries. Before the subsequent fertility treatment, gel instillation sonography and power Doppler imaging showed a normal uterine cavity and restored myometrial vascularization. Subsequent caesarean section showed external adhesions on the anterior uterine serosa. A healthy baby of normal weight was delivered. There was focal placenta accreta; the underlying myometrium was strikingly thinner and prone to inversion.

After B-Lynch sutures and ligation of the ascending branches of the uterine arteries, the pregnancy was subsequently uncomplicated. The potential association between B-Lynch sutures and placenta accreta or uterine inversion in a subsequent pregnancy has to be assessed in further studies. This case report illustrates how 3D gel instillation sonography is a valuable tool to evaluate the integrity of the uterine cavity.

After a four-day history of fever and mild dyspnea, she was referred to hospital. Ciclesonide, dexamethasone, heparin sodium, and sulbactam/ampicillin were initiated, followed by remdesivir and tocilizumab. On the fourth day after admission (at 34 weeks 5 days of gestation), respiratory failure required ventilator management. An emergency cesarean section was performed and a 2565-g male infant was delivered with an Apgar score of 8/8 and negative COVID-19 status. However, on the following day the patient's respiratory condition deteriorated and mechanical ventilation was initiated. Subsequently, her respiratory condition quickly improved and mechanical ventilation was terminated 4 days after intubation. She was discharged 12 days after cesarean delivery. Our case provides additional evidence that raises concerns regarding the unfavorable maternal consequences of COVID-19 infection during pregnancy. The refugees and migrants are not recorded generally and deemed invisible by governments without providing them with identity and welfare services. The COVID-19 pandemic has badly impacted the economy, and the poor migrants and refugees have suffered most due to the closure of industries and informal sectors. Lack of legal identity made them more vulnerable and excluded them from getting benefits of even meagre government support and welfare schemes. Self-sovereign identity is a form of distributed digital identity that can provide immutable identity with full user control and interoperability features. Self-sovereign identities also ensure the privacy and security of personal information. SSI model can effectively provide migrants and refugees with an effective legal identity and include them in government welfare schemes and other schemes run by non-governmental agencies. read more Also, SSI can be used for uniquely identifying the people who have been already vaccinated or tested negative from COVID-19 within a stipulated time. This paper reviews the aspects of SSI application during the pandemic situation like COVID-19.
The
(
) is a novel, digital screening tool that is currently under development and aims to broadly assess self-reported emotional and behavioural distress in children aged five to 11years. This study implemented a generative participatory codesign and iterative refinement process to qualitatively validate the content of 30 animated assessment items developed for the ICDS by assessing their acceptability and accuracy from the child's perspective.

The participants (
=62) were five to 11-year-old children. Individual interviews were conducted with each child to determine acceptability and validity of animated items and facilitate the co-design refinement process of the animated assessment items.

Twenty-two out of 30 (73%) items met ≥80% satisfaction and accuracy consensus in their original format, six items (20%) required one round of refinement before meeting consensus, and two items (7%) required two rounds of refinements. Combined acceptability of animated items was high, ranging from 4.1 to 5 out of 5 across all items.

Participants were able to accurately identify and understand socio-emotional and behavioural constructs when depicted as animated items. Acceptability was high, even in first iterations when accuracy of understanding required refinement. This study highlighted the importance and benefits of iterative participatory design methodology in ensuring assessment items developed for children are understood, accepted and likely to be effective in obtaining accurate self-report.

Whilst apps and e-tools have tremendous potential as low-cost, scalable mental health intervention and prevention tools, it is essential that consumers and health professionals have a means by which to evaluate their quality and safety.

This study aimed to 1) adapt the original Mobile App Rating Scale (MARS) in order to be appropriate for the evaluation of both mobile phone applications as well as e-tools; 2) test the reliability of the revised scale; and 3) develop a quality assurance protocol for identifying and rating new apps and e-tools to determine appropriateness for use in clinical practice.

The MARS was adapted to include items specific to health-related apps and e-tools, such as the availability of resources, strategies for self-management, and quality information. The 41 apps and e-tools in the standard youth configuration of the InnoWell Platform, a digital tool designed to support or enhance mental health service delivery, were independently rated by two expert raters using the A-MARS. Cronmation and resources from reputable sources; 3) evidence of effectiveness; and 4) interoperability with other health information technologies.Sulfolane is a solvent used in industrial refining with identified environmental exposure in drinking water. Due to potential large species differences, the National Toxicology Program (NTP) conducted 28-day toxicity studies in male and female HsdSprague Dawley® SD® rats, B6C3F1/N mice, and Hartley guinea pigs. A wide dose range of 0, 1, 10, 30, 100, 300, and 800 mg/kg was administered via gavage. Histopathology, clinical pathology, and organ weights were evaluated after 28 days of exposure. In addition, plasma concentrations of sulfolane were evaluated 2 and 24 h after the last dose. Increased mortality was observed in the highest dose group of guinea pigs and mice while decreased body weight was observed in rats compared to controls. Histopathological lesions were observed in the kidney (male rat), stomach (male mice), esophagus (male and female guinea pigs), and nose (male guinea pigs). Plasma concentrations were generally higher in rats and guinea pigs compared to mice with evidence of saturated clearance at higher doses. Male rats appear to be the most sensitive with hyaline droplet accumulation occurring at all doses, although the human relevance of this finding is questionable.Benzo[a]pyrene (B[a]P) is a polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbon (PAH) commonly found in cigarette smoke, automobile exhaust fumes, grilled meat, and smoked food among others. Exposure to B[a]P is associated with a range of toxic effects including developmental, neurological, oxidative, inflammatory, mutagenic, carcinogenic and mortal. Efficient and more affordable experimental models like Drosophila melanogaster could provide more insight into the mechanism of PAH toxicity and help develop new strategies for prevention, diagnosis and treatment of PAH-related conditions. In this study, we examined the induction of some biochemical changes along with mortality and functional senescence by B[a]P and its metabolite, benzo[a]pyrene- 7,8-dihydrodiol-910-epoxide (BPDE) in the Canton-S strain of Drosophila melanogaster, with the aim to establish an alternative assay medium for B[a]P toxicity in flies. Flies were exposed to 2-200 μM of B[a]P and 1-10 μM of BPDE through diet for a seven-day survival assay followed by a fouh AChE. Hence, the Canton-S strain of Drosophila melanogaster could offer a simple and affordable assay medium to study B[a]P toxicity.Diclofenac sodium salt (DSS) is a widely used nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug. The present study was performed under good laboratory practice (GLP) regulations to investigate the toxicity of DSS after 4 weeks of repeated intramuscular administration at doses of 0, 2, 10, or 20 mg/kg/day in 32 minipigs and to evaluate the DSS effect following a 2-week recovery period. Dose-related clinical signs and alterations of hematological or clinical chemistry parameters, organ weight, and macroscopic as well as histopathological findings in hepatic, renal, gastrointestinal, skin and injection sites were observed in both sexes' animals of the 10 or 20 mg/kg/day group. With the exception of the skin-related findings, most symptoms showed a tendency to resolve after the 2-week recovery period. The systemic exposure (AUClast) of DSS in plasma showed similar pattern to the increase rate of the dose and similar values between males and females except for the female 20 mg/kg dose group (56 %) on Day1. The systemic exposure showed a decreasing trend in the 10 or 20 mg/kg group after 4-week of repeated administration compared to Day1. The no-observed-adverse-effect level of DSS in this study was considered to be 2 mg/kg/day in both male and female minipigs. This study was aimed at estimating the intake of lead and cadmium by the Belgian consumers due to the use of ceramic ware. We adopted refined exposure scenarios with respect to migrant concentration, ceramic ware usage, and metal release characteristics. A deterministic estimation was initially performed, followed by probabilistic estimation, if the deterministic estimate exceeds toxicological reference values. Based on the reference doses established by the European Food Safety Authority (EFSA), the risk of lead and cadmium exposure was characterized by the margin of exposure (MOE) and the tolerable weekly intake (TWI), respectively. The probabilistic median and 95th percentile intake of lead were 0.02 and 5.77 μg/kg b.w. per day for adults, and 0.07 and 17.3 μg/kg b.w. per day for children. The MOEs for neurotoxicity, nephrotoxicity and cardiovascular effects were 7.1, 27 and 64 for average consumers, and 0.02, 0.1 and 0.3 for high consumers. The deterministic mean and 95th percentile intake of cadmium were 0.
