How can the actual convergence regarding prematurity and also congenital heart disease change up the establishing human brain?
This work shows a patent database for Coronaviruses that provides an overview of the patenting activity and trends in focused antiviral therapy with the use of triazole based compounds, glycoprotein, and protease inhibitors as possible treatment. The patent data was obtained from Orbit Intelligence Software using a patent family structure to get a big database that could be used for built patent landscape report (PLR), market analysis, technical and competitive intelligence, and monitoring and survey of a new ideas for the treatment of coronavirus diseases. The raw data is reported in four databases, which were classified according to different items legal status (alive, dead), 1st application year (after 2015, 2011-2015, 2006-2010, 2001-2005), and Top 5 International Patents Classifications (IPC). The main players, the investment trend, markets, geographical distribution, technology overview, technologies distribution, and patent citation are showed by this analysed data report. © 2020 The Author(s).The data presented here were collected from 301 grade 11 students selected from six public secondary schools within one district. These students participated in a quasi-experimental study whose aim was to investigate the effects of the Student-Teams Achievement Division (STAD) on students' mathematical reasoning. Six intact classes from the participating schools were selected using a cluster random sampling method, three of which were randomly assigned to the control group while the other three were randomly assigned to the experimental group. Respondents' demographic information (identity, gender, school type, and age) are presented alongside their raw scores on pretest and posttest measures. The mathematical reasoning test (MRT) items presented to students aimed at assessing their conjecturing, justifying and mathematizing abilities. Student scores from each of these three mathematical reasoning dimensions were aggregated to form a total score for both the pretest and posttest measures. These data can provide some insights into the extent to which different learning conditions can support the development of reasoning among the learners of school mathematics. The MRT items presented in the supplementary data files can also act as a basis for the formulation of new tasks aimed at assessing students' mathematical reasoning skills. © 2020 The Author(s).Alzheimer disease is a genetically complex multigenic neurodegenerative disorder, resulting from the interaction between multiple genes. Most of the earlier studies reported only few specific genes that have involvement in Alzheimer. However more than hundreds of susceptible genes have been observed, that have significant role in the development and progression of Alzheimer. Among all the existing data resources, Genetic association database is the most popular data source that contains information about genes, their association classes into positive, negative and neutral class and supporting reference. However, it contains lot of false positives and negatives associations. We have taken this data as reference and performed the double fold cross validation to compile the comprehensive list of Alzheimer genes, their association class viz, positive, negative or ambiguous with the disease and reference sentence confirming the association. The data generated will be used as a GOLD standard reference data set for the training of machine learning classifier to predict the classification of published literature not only in Alzheimer but in other diseases as well. In addition, positive associated genes data can also be used for the system level modelling or meta analysis of Alzheimer. © 2020 The Author(s).Raw Electron Back Scatter Diffraction (EBSD) data on deformed quartz from a mylonitic quartzite sample of the Calamita Schists (Island of Elba, Italy) is available at https//doi.org/10.17632/8c937t6zs4.32. The investigated sample (IESP3SP78) was collected in quartz-rich outcrops exposed at the Praticciolo Cape and was used to realize an oriented thin section (cut parallel to lineation and perpendicular to foliation). Preliminary investigations were carried out by transmitted-light and scanning electron microscopy (SEM), in order to select key areas for EBSD analysis. EBSD mapping was performed on selected areas of deformed quartz, which was the only phase indexed and were processed to derive orientation maps, pole figures, inverse pole figures, misorientation axis distribution in sample and crystal coordinates. While the processed data is available on the original research article ("Fluid-assisted Strain Localization in Quartz at the Brittle/Ductile Transition"; https//doi.org/10.1029/2019GC008270), this contribution is devoted to supply the unprocessed EBSD data, together with a methodological description, aimed to allow the reproduction of the processed dataset. A brief statistical description of the investigated EBSD maps is also available. This data is valuable because it offers grain size and orientation analysis of deformed quartz investigated in a natural study case and the present publication makes it accessible to those working on naturally and experimentally deformed quartz. © 2020 The Authors. The data of COVID-19 disease in China and then in South Korea were collected daily from several different official websites. The collected data included 33 death cases in Wuhan city of Hubei province during early outbreak as well as confirmed cases and death toll in some specific regions, which were chosen as representatives from the perspective of the coronavirus outbreak in China. Data were copied and pasted onto Excel spreadsheets to perform data analysis. A new methodology, Patient Information Based Algorithm (PIBA) [1], has been adapted to process the data and used to estimate the death rate of COVID-19 in real-time. Assumption is that the number of days from inpatients to death fall into a pattern of normal distribution and the scores in normal distribution can be obtained by observing 33 death cases and analysing the data [2]. We selected 5 scores in normal distribution of these durations as lagging days, which will be used in the following estimation of death rate. We calculated each death rate on accumulative confirmed cases with each lagging day from the current data and then weighted every death rate with its corresponding possibility to obtain the total death rate on each day. While the trendline of these death rate curves meet the curve of current ratio between accumulative death cases and confirmed cases at some points in the near future, we considered that these intersections are within the range of real death rates. Six tables were presented to illustrate the PIBA method using data from China and South Korea. One figure on estimated rate of infection and patients in serious condition and retrospective estimation of initially occurring time of CORID-19 based on PIBA. © 2020 Published by Elsevier Inc.Human cadaver dissection remains a core and preferred method of anatomical instruction at most low- and middle-income health professional training institutions. Dissection, which is both traumatic and stressful, sets the tone of the students' responses to later and or similar stressful learning opportunities like the post-mortems or care for terminally ill patients. Partial least squares structural equation modelling was used to determine the effect of the students' personality, perception of the learning environment, learning approach, and effect of the environment on the student, on undergraduate health professional student's activity in the human cadaver dissection room. This was a secondary analysis of previously collected data from a cross sectional survey of undergraduate health professional students. We found that personality type and perception of the environment had a positive effect on dissection room activity. Approach to learning and being affected by the dissection room experience (impact), had a negative effect on dissection room activity. All the above effects on dissection room activity were not significant. This study showed that personality, perception of the learning environment, learning approach and effect of the environment on the student, had effects on undergraduate health professional student's activity in the human cadaver dissection room. The modelled effects are opportunities for educational interventions aimed at increasing student activity in the dissection room.Malignant esophageal strictures often require stent placement to alleviate dysphagia and improve quality of life. We present a novel application of a lumen-apposing metal stent to bypass a malignant esophageal stricture in the setting of altered gastric anatomy. © 2020 The Author(s). Over a 7-day admission, the patient's acute hepatitis evolved into acute liver failure with low-grade encephalopathy, markedly elevated transaminases, bilirubin, and impaired hepatic synthetic function. He was eventually diagnosed with acute hepatitis E virus (HEV) and was transitioned to supportive management. Acute HEV is a rare cause of acute liver failure. Hence, this case highlights the importance of early consideration of HEV in all patients with acute hepatitis who have originated from endemic regions. © 2020 The Author(s). They are often found incidentally on cross-sectional imaging. Although they are benign, patients often undergo surgical resection because of diagnostic uncertainties. We report the first case of bronchogenic cyst diagnosed with the microforceps, after previous nondiagnostic fine-needle aspirations, thus allowing the patient to avoid surgery. © 2020 The Author(s). Inflammatory bowel disease has an increased prevalence in patients with HSCR. We describe the clinical course of a patient with long-segment HSCR who, at the age of 12 months, developed diffuse intestinal inflammation most clinically consistent with very early onset inflammatory bowel disease. We further explore previous studies that implicate the underlying neuroenteric abnormalities in HSCR as possible explanations for this patient's intestinal immune and inflammatory dysregulation. © 2020 The Author(s). We present a young woman with Behcet's disease who presented with acute Budd-Chiari syndrome, with thrombosis of IVC and all 3 hepatic veins. An IVC stent was placed, followed by a transjugular intrahepatic portosystemic shunt through the IVC stent. On follow-up, despite oral anticoagulants and oral steroids, she developed recurrent thrombosis twice within a 1-year span. Her symptoms resolved with stent revision and increasing immunosuppression. © 2020 The Author(s). Published by Wolters Kluwer Health, Inc. on behalf of The American College of Gastroenterology.
