To investigate the expression of BUB1 gene in gastric cancer.
Oncomine, GEPIA, BioGPS and Kaplan-Meier Plotter databases were used to analyze the difference of BUB1 gene expression between gastric cancer tissue and normal gastric tissue. The association of BUB1 expression level with the prognosis of gastric cancer patients was also analyzed. https://www.selleckchem.com/products/arv-771.html (CCLE) was explored to analyze the expression of BUB1 in T cells and B cells in gastric cancer patients, and the String database was used to generate the network map of BUB1-related proteins and functional annotation of gene ontology (GO). The related pathways of KEGG were analyzed. Tumor immune assessment resource (TIMER) database was used to analyze the expression of BUB1 in immune infiltration and its effect on prognosis of gastric cancer patients. To further verify the results of gene chip analysis in Oncomine database, we collected 30 pairs of surgical specimens of gastric adenocarcinoma and adjacent tissues from patients admittecimens, real-time quantitative PCR showed that the expression level of BUB1 mRNA was significantly higher in gastric cancer tissues than in the adjacent gastric mucosa tissues, and immunohistochemical results demonstrated positive BUB1 staining in the gastric cancer tissues.
BUB1 gene is highly expressed in gastric cancer. BUB1 may reduce tumor immunosuppression and helps to evaluate the prognosis of patients with gastric cancer.

To explore the target, signaling pathways and their biological functions of
Decoction in the treatment of COVID-19 based on network pharmacology and molecular docking technology.
The active components and target proteins in 21 drugs such as
and
in
decoction were analyzed, and the signaling pathways and biological functions of the target proteins common with COVID-19 were screened by using TCMSP, Swiss Target Prediction, CooLGeN, GeneCards, DAVID and other databases. The network diagram of
decoction was constructed using Gephi software.
We identified 163 active ingredients, including MOL004798, MOL000519, MOL004824, MOL000554, MOL010428, and MOL013443, from 18 drugs in
decoction (such as
,
,

and
). These ingredients activate renin-angiotensin system signaling pathway and apoptosis signaling pathway by regulating 10 protein targets (ACE, ACE2, AGTR1, FURIN, TNF, CASP3, CASP6, DPP4, MCL1 and POLD1) to execute 42 biological functions such e pharmacological mechanism of QingfeiPaidu decoction in treating COVID-19.
To investigate the role of cholinergic anti-inflammatory pathway (CAP) in neuro-regulation of inflammatory and immune response in the early stage of sepsis.
Sixty-four SD rats were randomly divided into control Group (
=8) with normal feeding without any treatment; sham operation group (
=8) with laparotomy but without cecal ligation and puncture (CLP), followed by intraperitoneal injection 50 mg/kg piperacillin 3 times a day for 3 consecutive days; and sepsis group (
=48) with CLP-induced sepsis. The rat models of sepsis were randomized into model groups (
=16) with intraperitoneal injection of piperacillin (50 mg/kg) and normal saline (1 mL/100 g) for 3 times a day for 3 days; GTS-21 group (
=16) with additional intraperitoneal injection of 4 mg/kg GTS-21 (once a day for 3 days); and methyllycaconitine (MLA) group (
=16) with intraperitoneal injection of MLA (4.8 mg/kg) in addition to piperacillin (once a day for 3 days). link2 Murine Sepsis Score (MSS) of the rats and short-range HRV analysis were recoment significantly increased serum levels of TNF-α, IL-1α, IL-10, IL-6, HMGB1, and sCD14 and the percentages of CD4
CD25
Treg and TH17-positive lymphocytes and decreased Treg/TH17 ratio in the septic rats (
< 0.05).
CAP plays negative regulatory role in early inflammatory and immune response to sepsis, and some of the HRV indicators can well reflect the regulatory effect of CAP on inflammation and immunity in the septic rats.

To understand the distribution patterns and the factors influencing the interval between entry of mainland China and diagnosis in imported COVID-19 cases in Guangdong Province to provide evidence for formulating and implementing effective control measures.
We collected the data of imported COVID-19 cases from March 1st to April 10th, 2020 published on the official websites of Health Commission of Guangdong Province and local government of the cities in Guangdong Province for epidemiological analysis. Descriptive statistical methods were used to analyze the distribution patterns of the interval between entry of mainland China and diagnosis of the imported cases, and multivariate logistic regression was used to analyze the factors influencing the interval.
A total of 179 imported cases were reported in Guangdong by April 10th, 2020. The average interval between entry of mainland China and diagnosis was 4.21 days with a median of 2 days. The interval was between 1 and 3 days in 69.8% of the cases. Multivary identify the cases.
To evaluate the clinical efficacy of ultrasound subgingival scaling combined with manual root planing for treatment of chronic periodontitis in elderly patients.
Forty elderly patients with chronic periodontitis were randomly divided into test group for treatment with ultrasound and Gracey subgingival curette for subgingival scaling combined with manual root planing and control group treated with ultrasound subgingival curette scaling (
=20). We compared plaque index (PLI), bleeding index (BI), probing depth (PD), and attachment loss (AL) between the two groups before and at 6 weeks and 12 weeks after the treatment.
After periodontal treatment, PLI, BI, PD and AL all decreased significantly in both groups compared with the levels before the treatment (
< 0.05). The patients in the test group showed significantly more obvious decrease of PD and AL than those in the control group (
< 0.05), but the reduction of PLI and BI was comparable between the two groups (
>0.05).
Ultrasound subgingival scaling combined with manual root planing produces better therapeutic effect than ultrasonic subgingival scaling alone for treatment of chronic periodontitis in elderly patients.

Based on the location methods of the nodules, the patients were divided into group A (34 cases) with preoperative CT-guided Hook-wire (a common positioning needle usually using in mammary gland) positioning and group B (20 cases) with preoperative CT-guided methylene blue location.ResultsThe success rate of localization in group A was 94.18% (32/34), significantly higher than that in group B [85% (17/20), P < 0.05). No intraoperative conversion to thoracotomy occurred in group A, while the conversion rate was 10% (2/20) in group B (P < 0.05). The average positioning cost was significantly higher in group A than in group B (1715±109 vs 1021±86 RMB yuan, P < 0.05), but the total hospitalization cost was similar between the two groups (50 114±3788 vs 47871±5902 RMB yuan, P>0.05). The length of hospital stay was significantly shorter in group A than in group B (6.71±1.23 vs 8.19±2.61 days, P < 0.05).ConclusionCompared with the traditional methylene blue localization method, Hook-wire localization positioning can significantly increase the success rate of localization, and can be used as the standard preoperative localization method in patients undergoing single-port thoracoscopic pulmonary nodule resection, especially in those with deep nodule location from the visceral pleura.
To investigate the effect of chronic emotional stimulation induced by empty bottle stimulation on CXCL12/CXCR4-mediated inflammatory response in rats with acute myocardial infarction (AMI).
Rat models of anxiety were established by a 21-day stimulation with uncertain empty bottle drinking water, and myocardial infarction was induced by ligating the left anterior descending branch of the coronary artery; compound models were established by performing myocardial infarction operation on the 15th day of anxiety modeling. link3 The rats were randomly divided into 4 groups shamoperated group (
=6), myocardial infarction group (
=6), compound model group (with myocardial infarcted and anxiety;
= 6), and inhibitor group (compound models treated daily with 1 mg/kg AMD3100 for 6 days;
=7). Echocardiography was used to examine the LVEF and LVFS to evaluate the cardiac function of the rats. Elevated maze test and open field test were used to evaluate the behaviors of the rats. The expressions of CXCL12, CXCR4, IL-1β,tion to worsen myocardial cell necrosis, cardiac function and hippocampal neuronal damage after the infarction.
To explore the relationship between sample size in the groups and statistical power of ANOVA and Kruskal-Wallis
test with an imbalanced design.
The sample sizes of the two tests were estimated by SAS program with given parameter settings, and Monte Carlo simulation was used to examine the changes in power when the total sample size varied or remained fixed.
In ANOVA, when the total sample size was fixed, increasing the sample size in the group with a larger mean square error improved the statistical power, but an excessively large difference in the sample sizes between groups led to reduced power. When the total sample size was not fixed, a larger mean square error in the group with increased sample size was associated with a greater increase of the statistical power. In Kruskal-wallis
test, when the total sample size was fixed, increasing the sample size in groups with large mean square errors increased the statistical power irrespective of the sample size difference between the groups; when total sample size was not fixed, a larger mean square error in the group with increased sample size resulted in an increased statistical power, and the increment was similar to that for a fixed total sample size.
The relationship between statistical power and sample size in groups is affected by the mean square error, and increasing the sample size in a group with a large mean square error increases the statistical power. In Kruskal-Wallis
test, increasing the sample size in a group with a large mean square error is more cost- effective than increasing the total sample size to improve the statistical power.
The relationship between statistical power and sample size in groups is affected by the mean square error, and increasing the sample size in a group with a large mean square error increases the statistical power. In Kruskal-Wallis H test, increasing the sample size in a group with a large mean square error is more cost- effective than increasing the total sample size to improve the statistical power.
