It is expected that an additional 41 million unintended pregnancies, 5 million unsafe abortions and 124,000 maternal deaths can be avoided by reducing the unmet need for family planning to 5%maternal and child health-related sustainable development goals.

In this open-label, randomised, phase II trial, previously untreated mCRPC patients were randomised 11 to receive eight 21-dcourses of docetaxel 75mg/m
, oral prednisone 5mg twice daily and oral enzalutamide 160mg/d(arm DE), or the same treatment without enzalutamide (arm D). The primary end-point was the percentage of patients without investigator-assessed disease progression 6 months after the first docetaxel administration.

The 246 eligible patients were randomly assigned to receive docetaxel, prednisone and enzalutamide (n=120) or docetaxel and prednisone (n=126). The 6-month progression rate was 12.5% (95% confidence interval [CI] 8.1-20.6) in arm DE and 27.8% (95% CI22.8-39.4) in arm D (chi-squared test 10.01; P =0.002). The most frequent grade III-IV adverse events were fatigue (12.5% in arm DE versus 5.6% in arm D), febrile neutropenia (9.3% versus 4.0%)and neutropenia (7.6% versus 5.6%).

The combination of enzalutamide and docetaxel appears to be more clinically beneficial than docetaxel alone in previously untreated mCRPC patients, although serious adverse events were more frequent. Using this technique, studies have identified various phyla such as Firmicutes, Actinobacteria, Proteobacteria, Bacteroidetes, Fusobacteria and Cyanobacteria; and also several genera from raw milk of small ruminants. Nevertheless, there does not seem to be a consensus on the predominant genera nor phyla, even within the same breed. There is a lack of information about the mammary microflora in meat-oriented breeds, and about the microflora of colostrum and mastitis milk. Further studies comparing the microbiota between artificial and natural lactations and between healthy and mastitis milk are necessary. We examine the theory across seven intergroup contexts in thirteen pre-registered and highly powered experiments (N = 1690). We find outgroup members are not denied uniquely human emotions relative to ingroup members. Rather, they are ascribed prosocial emotions to a lesser extent but antisocial emotions to a greater extent. Apparent evidence for infrahumanization is better explained by ingroup preference, outgroup derogation and stereotyping. Infrahumanization theory may obscure more than it reveals about intergroup bias.
This study aimed to determine if sound-field amplification (SFA) could be used as an inclusive classroom adjustment to support primary school students with and without Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).

A two-group, randomised controlled trial (RCT) with crossover was conducted involving 13 students with ASD (9 males, aged 7.6 to 8.4 years) and 17 typically progressing students without ASD (7 males, aged 7.6 to 9.3 years) from 10 primary schools in and near to Brisbane, Australia. Eighteen of these children had an SFA system in their classrooms in semester one and 12 in semester two of their fourth year of formal schooling (Year 3). Potential proximate benefits were assessed using teacher questionnaire and video analysis of student listening behaviours. Potential distant benefits were assessed using measures of phonological processing in quiet and in noise, attention, memory, and educational achievement.

Potential proximate benefits were observed for all students with teachers rating student listening behaviours higher with SFA versus without SFA. Potential distant benefits were observed for students with ASD who showed greater improvements in one area of phonological processing (blending nonsense words in noise) following SFA versus no SFA. No other potential proximate or distant benefits following SFA were observed.

Cannabis use is increasingly common among pregnant women despite concern that it may be linked to adverse maternal and infant outcomes. Determining whether variables associated with cannabis use predict whether women continue or quit using during pregnancy may inform strategies to reduce prenatal use.

Pregnant women who regularly used cannabis before pregnancy (n = 296) were recruited via Facebook. After finding out they were pregnant, 41 % reported quitting, 13 % quit then relapsed, 32 % reduced use, and 15 % continued use at the same rate. Differences among these four cannabis use status groups (quit, relapsed, reduced, continued) in sociodemographics, cannabis use, cigarette use, perceived risk/benefit, delay discounting, and communications about cannabis with their doctor were assessed.
