This study aimed to determine the effect of video-assisted education on the quality of life of women with breast cancer who received chemotherapy treatment for the first time.

The study was conducted with women who applied to Outpatient Chemotherapy Unit of a university hospital in Turkey between September 2016 and March 2017 and who received chemotherapy for the first time. The European Organisation for Research and Treatment of Cancer Quality of Life Questionnaires namely EORTC QLQ-C30 and EORTC QLQ-BR23 were used to obtain the data.

In the education group patients in the fourth cycle of chemotherapy; a decrease in general well-being and a significant increase in dyspnoea, nausea, vomiting and loss of appetite were observed. In control group patients in the fourth cycle of chemotherapy, a decrease in general well-being, physical and role functions and a significant increase in nausea, vomiting, loss of appetite, and fatigue. Breast symptoms and arm symptoms in the educational group patients decreased from the 1st to the 4th cycle.

We reported 34 years of old health care worker (HCW) without any known SARS-CoV-2 infection. She had the first dose of SARS-CoV-2 inactivated virus vaccine (CoronaVac, Sinovac Life Science Co, Ltd, Beijing, China) at a gestational age of 28 weeks. The second dose of vaccine was given four weeks later at a gestational age of 32 weeks. HCW did not report any vaccine-related adverse events after either the first or second dose of the vaccine. Three weeks after the second dose of the vaccine, her anti-receptor-binding domain (RBD) of SARS-CoV-2 spike protein antibody was 779 arbitrary units (AU) per ml. She gave a birth of 38 weeks three days gestation age of healthy, full-term girl with a birth weight of 2770 gr. The mother's anti-RBD antibody was 734 AU/ml, the infant's cord blood anti-RBD antibody level was 764 AU/ml, respectively, cord sera/maternal sera transfer ratio was 1,04. Individuals with psychotic disorders often report feelings of loneliness, fewer social contacts and less satisfaction with their social support prior to diagnosis. However, temporal relationships between these variables remain unclear. The primary aim of this study was to examine whether subjective and objective social factors predict, or are predicted by, psychotic-like experiences (PLEs) in healthy young adults.

196 undergraduates completed baseline and 3-month follow-up assessments for PLEs, loneliness, social support size, and satisfaction. Cross-lagged panel models were conducted to investigate the temporal relationships between these variables.

Higher loneliness scores, fewer social contacts, and being less satisfied with social support at both time points were significantly associated with higher endorsement of PLEs. Furthermore, after controlling for baseline levels, cross-lagged analyses revealed that individuals who reported feeling more lonely and having less social support at baseline, predicted higher PLEs three months later but not vice versa. No cross-lagged effect was found between the satisfaction of social support and PLEs.

The study highlights the significant relationships between loneliness, social support and PLEs. Higher levels of loneliness and smaller social support networks predicted future PLEs. These findings need to be given full consideration in future clinical practice and intervention for young adults with PLEs.

We searched relevant literature in PubMed, EMBASE, Cochrane Library CNKI from inception until 2021. The mean value, the proportion, and their 95% confidence intervals (CIs) were measured by random-effects models. Publication bias was assessed using funnel plots.

48 studies met our inclusion criteria-28 describing MR-HIFU and 20 describing US-HIFU. The mean non-perfused volume rate (NPVR) was 81.07% in the US-HIFU group and 58.92% in the MR-HIFU group, respectively. The mean volume reduction rates at month-3, month-6, and month-12 were 42.42, 58.72, and 65.55% in the US-HIFU group, while 34.79, 37.39, and 36.44% in the MR-HIFU group. The incidence of post-operative abdominal pain and abnormal vaginal discharge in the US-HIFU group was lower than that of MRI-HIFU. However, post-operative skin burn and sciatic nerve pain were more common in the US-HIFU group compared with MRI-HIFU. The one-year reintervention rate after MR-HIFU was 13.4%, which was higher than 5.2% in the US-HIFU group.

The screening accuracy of the 50 g-glucose challenge test (50 g-GCT) for gestational diabetes (GDM) has been described in singleton pregnancies. Given the physiologic differences and greater increase in insulin resistance in twin compared with singleton pregnancies, the performance of the 50 g-GCT in twin pregnancies may differ.

To perform a systematic review on the screening performance of the 50 g-GCT for gestational diabetes in twin pregnancies.

We included randomized controlled trials or cohort studies that evaluated the screening accuracy of the 50 g-GCT for GDM in twin pregnancies using the two-step approach. The primary outcome was the positive predictive value of the 50 g-GCT for GDM using the 140 mg/dL (7.8 mmol/L) threshold.

Methodological quality of included studies was assessed using the QUADAS-2 tool. The positive predictive value (PPV) was pooled for studies that used similar test characteristics.

From 2044 citations, 7 retrospective cohort studies with a total of 55,597 participants were included (6.5% twins and 93.5% singletons). The majority of studies evaluated a 50-g GCT cutoff point of 140 mg/dL. The pooled PPV for a threshold of 140 mg/dL (7.8 mmol/L) for twins was 22.58% (95% CI 0.1912-0.2647,
=34.1%). The 50-g GCT screen positive rate in twin pregnancies was higher than that in singleton pregnancies. None of the studies performed routine OGTT.

Patient suitability for magnetic resonance-guided high intensity focused ultrasound (MRgHIFU) therapy of pelvic tumors is currently assessed by visual estimation of the proportion of tumor that can be reached by the device's focus (coverage). Since it is important to assess whether enough energy reaches the tumor to achieve ablation, a methodology for estimating the proportion of the tumor that can be ablated (treatability) was developed. Predicted treatability was compared against clinically achieved thermal ablation.
