This work aims to explore the role of cadmium-resistant actinomycetes on promoting plant growth and cadmium uptake in Chlorophytum comosum (Thunb.) Jacques, a spider plant. Actinomycetes isolated from the plant roots in peat swamp forests were screened for their cadmium resistance and the production of indole-3-acetic acid (IAA) and siderophores. The results found that K5PN1 and 11-10SHTh produced high levels of IAA and siderophores, respectively. K5PN1 and 11-10SHTh were identified to be Streptomyces rapamycinicus and Streptomyces cyaneus, respectively. Both strains were able to remove cadmium from aqueous solution and survive under cadmium stress in contaminated soil. The results of pot experiments found that the selected Streptomyces inoculation increased the root and shoot biomass and cadmium accumulation in the root and shoot of C. comosum planted in a cadmium-contaminated soil. The highest cadmium accumulation and translocation ability of cadmium from the root to shoot was found in C. comosum with S. rapamycinicus inoculation. In addition, plant with S. cyaneus inoculation had the highest phytoextraction coefficient and bioaccumulation factor. Our findings concluded that S. rapamycinicus and S. cyaneus stimulated the growth and cadmium uptake in C. comosum, suggesting a combined approach using the selected Streptomyces and C. comosum for phytoremediation of cadmium-polluted soil.In industrial areas, increased human activities generate high emissions of metals that contaminate the environment, and eventually affect human health. Therefore, this study aims to investigate the sources of toxic elements in indoor dust samples, and to evaluate possible health risks due to expose of human body through dermal contact, inhalation, and ingestion. A total 36 indoor dust samples were collected from the windows of twelve (12) industrial buildings, which are facing the main roads in the biggest export process zone (DEPZ) in Dhaka City, Bangladesh. The indoor dust samples were analyzed using X-ray fluorescence (XRF) technique for the determination of Cu, Zn, As, Pb, Fe, Cr, Co, Ni, K, Ca, Ti, Rb, and Sr. This investigation revealed that Cu, Zn, Pb, Fe, and Sr concentrations were slightly higher in various degree than that of the background value in soil recommended by the Chinese Environmental Protection Administration (CEPA). Zegocractin order Subsequently, ANOVA (α = 0.05, p less then 0.001) test and %RSD valuesadesh. However, a continuous monitoring should be needed to assess more accurately the non-cancer and cancer risk to children and adult. Many factors influence bay waters, including greater concentration of people in cities, industrial production, how land is used, dynamics of flow in water systems, and climate change. Water management remains one of the greatest human challenges. Scientists continue to respond to water-related challenges through the research to improve both human and environmental health. Study in the Varna Bay, providing key knowledge on hydrological and hydrochemical characteristics, was done over 2015-2018. Unified methods for marine waters were used. An increase in SST was ascertained. The range of SSS monthly fluctuations increased almost twice compared to a long-term range. Nitrate nitrogen range was bigger than phosphate phosphorus range. A sharp increase in organic matter was ascertained but generally the range decreased compared to a long-term range.Making clear of the background values of different watersheds is an important mission for water resource management and assessment. The background values of the virgin forested watershed with less human activities sometimes have high COD values. In order to investigate this issue, this study take the Tangwang River watershed as a study case, analyzing the monitoring data of COD, BOD, and DO from the year of 2014 to 2018, and taking the water samples in the wet, normal, and dry season of 2019 to make clear the relationships between COD and DOM, the composition, and source of DOM. The non-degradation and terrigenous source DOM contributed to the most of COD values through the fitting analysis. The DOM in the Tangwang River mostly consisted of the humic-like acid and fulvic-like acid. Along with the river, the concentration of DOM had a little decrease, but the composition of DOM did not change obviously, so that the DOM coming from the virgin forest did not degrade in the river, and the river water only had the dilution effect with the tributaries fed in spatially. The organic matters in the virgin forest were easily washed away, so that the DOM concentration had an increase in the wet season temporally. The background COD values of the small virgin forested watershed were usually high as for the leaching effects of the organic matters from the forest, which was worthy noted when conducting the management project of this kind of watershed, in order to adjust measures to local conditions. The purpose of this study is to investigate the effects of porcelain veneering methods on the marginal and internal fit of a three-unit zirconia framework. A zirconia master model, in which the lower-left second premolar and the second left molar were used as the abutment, was obtained using an intraoral scanner. Based on the data, three-unit zirconia frameworks for fabricating all-ceramic bridges were designed and milled (FW group). Two types of all-ceramic bridge were fabricated by veneering porcelain onto these frameworks using the press-over technique (P group) and the layering technique (L group). The replica technique was used to measure the gap size between the abutments and the bridges. Measurements were taken in the marginal opening area (MO), chamfer area (CH), axial area (AX), and occlusal area (OC). Statistical analysis was performed using the Mann-Whitney U-test. There was no significant difference in MO and CH between the P and L groups. However, in AX, the L group had a significantly larger gap size than that of the P group (p = 0.003). In addition, compared with the FW group, the P group showed a significantly larger gap size in MO (p  less then  0.000), CH (p = 0.008), and OC (p  less then  0.000). These results indicate that the gap size increased after porcelain veneering using the press-over and layering techniques. In addition, the all-ceramic bridges fabricated using the press-over and layering techniques had approximately equal gap sizes in MO.
