) wild-type glioblastoma (GBM).

Pre-operative and post-chemoradiotherapy blood samples were prospectively collected from patients with newly diagnosed
wild-type GBM. Patients underwent surgical resection or biopsy and received adjuvant radiotherapy with concomitant temozolomide. Cell-free DNA (cfDNA) was isolated from plasma and quantified using SYBR Green-based q polymerase chain reaction (qPCR).

Sixty-two patients were enrolled and categorized into high vs. low cfDNA groups relative to the pre-operative median value (25.2 ng/mL, range 5.7-153.0 ng/mL). High pre-operative cfDNA concentration was associated with inferior PFS (median progression-free survival (PFS), 3.4 vs. 7.7 months; log-rank
= .004; hazard ratio [HR], 2.19; 95% CI, 1.26-3.81) and overall survival (OS) (median OS, 8.0 vs. 13.9 months; log-rank

In primary central nervous system lymphoma (PCNSL), small enhancing lesions can persist after treatment. It is unknown whether a difference in response category (complete response [CR], complete response unconfirmed [CRu], or partial response [PR]) reflects survival. We aimed to determine the value of a central radiology review on response assessment and whether the extent of response influenced progression-free and/or overall survival.

All patients in the HOVON 105/ALLG NHL 24 study with at least a baseline MRI and one MRI made for response evaluation available for central review were included. Tumor measurements were done by 2 independent central reviewers, disagreements were adjudicated by a third reviewer. Crude agreement and interobserver agreement (Cohen's kappa) were calculated. Differences in progression-free and overall survival between different categories of response at the end-of-protocol-treatment were assessed by the log-rank test in a landmark survival-analysis.

Agreement between the central reviewers was 61.7% and between local and central response assessment was 63.0%. Cohen's kappa's, which corrects for expected agreement, were 0.44 and 0.46 (moderate), respectively. Progression agreement or not was 93.3% (kappa 0.87) between local and central response assessment. There were no significant differences in progression-free and overall survival between patients with CR, CRu, or PR at the end-of-protocol-treatment, according to both local and central response assessment.

Dexanabinol is a synthetic analogue of tetrahydrocannabinol identified as a potential anti-cancer therapeutic by e-Therapeutics PLC. Dexanabinol was selected for further investigation based on its preclinical tumoricidal activity. This phase I dose-escalation trial examined the safety, drug penetration into the central nervous system (CNS), preliminary antitumor activity, and recommended phase II dose.

Dexanabinol formulated in cremophor/ethanol was administered once weekly via 3-hour intravenous infusion to patients with brain cancer.

in clinical specimens from paediatric patients attending Yangon Children's Hospital in Myanmar.

All children attending Yangon Children's Hospital who had clinical specimens submitted to the hospital diagnostic microbiology laboratory from June 2019 to December 2019 were included in the study. Specimens were processed routinely using standard methods with BD Phoenix used for pathogen identification and susceptibility testing. Presence of ESBLs was determined using the cephalosporin/clavulanate combination disc method with confirmation by PCR.

From 3462 specimens submitted to the Microbiology Laboratory, a total of 123
were isolated. Among them, 100 isolates were phenotypically ESBL producers, 94 (76.4%) of which were confirmed by PCR [82/94 (87%) CTX-M, 72/94 (77%) TEM, 1/94 (1%) SHV]. Most of the ESBL-producing
were isolated from urine samples (52.1%, 49/94) and the majority were from the surgical unit (61.7%, 58/94). Only 34/94 (36%) isolates were susceptible to meropenem.

In a study involving 44 female participants [14 patients with obesity, aged 20-63 years (mean 42, SEM 3.2 years), and 30 matched lean controls, aged 22-60 years (mean 37, SEM 1.8 years)], we investigated how ventromedial prefrontal cortex seed-to-voxel resting-state connectivity distinguished between lean and obese participants at baseline. We compared preclinical Alzheimer's groups against controls cross-sectionally (mutation carriers versus non-carriers; amyloid-positive versus amyloid-negative) on speed and accuracy of circle-tracing and subtraction.
