Cardiac angiosarcoma is a very rare malignant neoplasm, typically showing terrible prognosis. Therefore, early diagnosis is essential for efficacious intervention. Here we report a cardiac angiosarcoma with unique imaging findings because of pulmonary metastases.
A 55-year-old man presented to our Respiratory Department because of mild morning hemoptysis for five weeks with occasional palpitations, having undergone futile antibiotic therapy for two weeks at his local hospital before admission. Symptoms of hemoptysis were alleviated with venous hemostatic drugs. SB431542
F-FDG PET/CT was performed, showing a right atrial mass with multiple parenchymal nodules in lungs surrounded by ground-glass opacity, and indicated an intracardiac malignant tumor associated with pulmonary metastases, consistent with cardiothoracic CT and ultrasound. No evidence of infection or neoplasm was found using a fiberoptic bronchoscope. After multidisciplinary consultation and discussion, provisional diagnosis was established such that metastatic intrapulmonary hemorrhagic foci were secondary to intracardiac malignancy. link2 A percutaneous biopsy from the left lung was carried out and but showed mild chronic inflammation of the lung. Therefore, urgent wedge resections for biopsy were performed from the right lung and the histopathology revealed angiosarcoma. The patient died of cardiorespiratory failure before anticancer therapy.
Variety of clinical manifestations of cardiac angiosarcoma frequently makes its diagnosis difficult, the imaging features and epidemiology of cardiac malignancy are very significant to clinical diagnosis.

This study aimed to evaluate the biological response of human apical papilla cells to different calcium hydroxide formulations and three tricalcium silicate-based materials.
Primary cells were obtained from explants of young immature premolars. 20,000 cells adhered for 24h over discs of Biodentine™, ProRoot®MTA, BioRoot®RCS and calcium hydroxide mixed either with sodium chloride 0.9%w/v or polyethylene glycol and UltraCal® were used to evaluate cell adhesion by scanning electron microscopy and cell viability by MTT assay.
Cells adhered to ProRoot®MTA showed an increase of F-actin like protrusions, suggesting bioactivity. Cells adhered to UltraCal® show protrusion such as filopodia. On the contrary, cells adhered to BioRoot®RCS showed no signs of any cellular protrusion. Regarding viability between the materials, we found a higher percentage of viability in cells cultured over discs of Biodentine™ and ProRoot®MTA.
ProRoot®MTA and Biodentine™ exhibit a better cellular response of human apical papilla cells in vitro conditions compared to BioRoot® and calcium hydroxide diluted in sodium chloride.

Ethnic background has been claimed to affect arch form. The purpose of this study was to describe and elucidate the maxillary and mandibular arch forms in Jordanian population and to develop a classification method for these forms which could be employed to construct orthodontic archwires accordingly.
The sample was comprised of study casts of five hundred and twenty subjects (231 males and 289 females with a mean age of 15.4 ± 1.02years). All subjects had permanent dentition with normal occlusion. A mathematical method associated with a polynomial function of 6th degree was employed to assess the dental arch forms. The resultant arch forms were classified into 5 groups for both the maxilla and mandible utilizing a computer software with special code designed for this study. Each group was subdivided into 3 subgroup sizes namely small, medium, and large.
Catenary arch form was found in 47% and 41.2% (p˂0.01) of maxilla and mandible arch forms, respectively. Form 2 (which is halfway between ellipse and U-shaped arch form) was found in 27.7% and 26.7%. Medium size arch form was found in 55.4% of the maxillary and 65.6% of the mandibular arch forms.
Catenary arch form was the most prevalent arch form, followed by wide elliptical form. The other forms, which included tudor arch, tapered equilateral and quadrangular forms were less frequent. Regarding size, the medium size was the most prevalent among the studied samples.

Although the number of existing cases of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) in China has been decreasing since late February 2020, the number of confirmed cases abroad is surging. Improving public knowledge of COVID-19 is critical to controlling the pandemic. This study aimed to determine China's public knowledge of COVID-19 and the attitudes towards control measures.
A cross-sectional study was conducted over 48 h from 2230 29 February 2020 to 2230 2 March 2020 based on a self-administered web-based questionnaire. The survey was conducted on the WeChat network. link3 Exponential non-discriminative snowball sampling was applied. The questionnaire was voluntarily completed by WeChat users. The questionnaire covered basic demographic information, public knowledge of the epidemiological and clinical characteristics of COVID-19, psychological state, and attitudes towards the overall control measures. The primary outcome was the China's public knowledge of COVID-19 and the attitudes towards control measures and secedge of COVID-19 except for those indeterminate knowledges. With dynamic changes in the global pandemic situation and more research, further studies should be conducted to explore changes in public knowledge and attitudes towards COVID-19 in the future. The media could be used in a strict and regular manner to publicize knowledge of such pandemics to halt their spread.
In conclusion, the survey revealed that the Chinese public had overall good knowledge of COVID-19 except for those indeterminate knowledges. With dynamic changes in the global pandemic situation and more research, further studies should be conducted to explore changes in public knowledge and attitudes towards COVID-19 in the future. The media could be used in a strict and regular manner to publicize knowledge of such pandemics to halt their spread.
Maternal folic acid (FA) supplementation before and in early pregnancy prevents neural tube defects (NTD), but it is uncertain whether continuing FA after the first trimester has benefits on offspring health. We aimed to evaluate the effect of FA supplementation throughout pregnancy on cognitive performance and brain function in the child.
Follow-up investigation of 11-year-old children, residing in Northern Ireland, whose mothers had participated in a randomised trial of Folic Acid Supplementation in the Second and Third Trimesters (FASSTT) in pregnancy and received 400 μg/day FA or placebo from the 14th gestational week. Cognitive performance (Full Scale Intelligence Quotient, Verbal Comprehension, Working Memory, Perceptual Reasoning, and Processing Speed) was assessed using the Wechsler Intelligence Scale for Children. Neuronal function was assessed using magnetoencephalographic (MEG) brain imaging.
Of 119 mother-child pairs in the FASSTT trial, 68 children were assessed for neurocognitive performan5 May 2013.

Stercoral perforation (SP) is a rare surgical condition that is associated with high morbidity and mortality. Most of these patients undergo emergent surgery, including colostomy, and some undergo colostomy takedown after recovery. Stercoral re-perforation after colostomy takedown followed by colostomy for SP has not yet been reported.
A 79-year-old woman presented with abdominal pain for one day. Abdominal-pelvis computed tomography revealed pneumoperitoneum with diffuse mesenteric fat haziness of the left abdomen. During laparoscopic exploration, a 3-cm-sized perforated site was found at the sigmoid-descending colon, with fecal material and reactive fluid outside the colon. Loop colostomy formation was performed, and a takedown was completed after 3months. Two years 4months after the initial procedure, the patient was re-admitted to our hospital with abdominal pain. She underwent a second laparoscopic colostomy formation and was discharged, although the postoperative clinical course was poorer than that after the first surgery.
This case of stercoral re-perforation after colostomy takedown followed by colostomy formation for SP has important clinical implications and can be a reference for physicians. When the first colostomy formation was performed for SP, the decision on performance of a colostomy takedown should be made after carefully considering several factors.

To accurately predict the prognosis of glioma patients.
A total of 541 samples from the TCGA cohort, 181 observations from the CGGA database and 91 samples from our cohort were included in our study. Long non-coding RNAs (LncRNAs) associated with glioma WHO grade were evaluated by weighted gene co-expression network analysis (WGCNA). Five lncRNA features were selected out to construct prognostic signatures based on the Cox regression model.
By weighted gene co-expression network analysis (WGCNA), 14 lncRNAs related to glioma grade were identified. Using univariate and multivariate Cox analysis, five lncRNAs (CYTOR, MIR155HG, LINC00641, AC120036.4 and PWAR6) were selected to develop the prognostic signature. The Kaplan-Meier curve depicted that the patients in high risk group had poor prognosis in all cohorts. The areas under the receiver operating characteristic curve of the signature in predicting the survival of glioma patients at 1, 3, and 5 years were 0.84, 0.92, 0.90 in the CGGA cohort; 0.8, 0.85 and 0.77 in the TCGA set and 0.72, 0.90 and 0.86 in our own cohort. Multivariate Cox analysis demonstrated that the five-lncRNA signature was an independent prognostic indicator in the three sets (CGGA set HR = 2.002, p < 0.001; TCGA set HR = 1.243, p = 0.007; Our cohort HR = 4.457, p = 0.008, respectively). A nomogram including the lncRNAs signature and clinical covariates was constructed and demonstrated high predictive accuracy in predicting 1-, 3- and 5-year survival probability of glioma patients.
We established a five-lncRNA signature as a potentially reliable tool for survival prediction of glioma patients.
